I bought one a couple years ago from the 3rd owner. He had it in his garage for 27 years. Hoping to restore it and do an EV conversion when time & funds allow. Might sell it for a profit since I bought it right and it is very original.
My uncle has one, it's the simplest car made in the last 80 years. Super easy to work on.

Very interesting and I just bought one myself in similar condition so it will be fun to follow. Mine is a regular 74 but super solid driver
Never call The Thing. Its a Kubelwagen. And will always be. At least to VW. Nice find! 👍
