I have been down the Donestic Violence road . I didnt take Cocaine . My heart was too broken to take it. I loved someone that didnt love me. It hurts the soul more than the body. I have someone making me well now . And I am doing the same for him ha ha we compliment each other. Thanks Kaz for writing and performing songs that are identifiable. And the meanings are mine also.
💖 👏 It was only VERY recently that I accidentally came across Kaz Hawkins and her 👍 beautiful 🎤! The first songs I had been listening to/watching videos of were all ‘covers’ of songs made popular by others (like Nina Simone, Etta James, and similar artists). Since then I’ve found many more of her recent songs, like this, that she wrote her own lyrics to. Most were based in part on her own personal, abusive childhood experiences, with the hope they would help others to cope, relate with them, and NOT give up hope. Fortunately I wasn’t one of them, but I can still get emotional when I listen and watch her sing with the easygoing, relaxing voice of hers! It’s a shame she’s not well known and given the exposure she easily deserves in many countries! * I also think Kaz must be a wonderful human being too - I’ve noticed that she reads the comments on all her videos, and actually takes the time to respond and acknowledge each one! There aren’t many that would do this - thank you Kaz on behalf of myself and everyone else that has written a comment 🙏 😇

Again, just like you being live here with the single presentation, I could not be here :( But I just saw it, wow. I loved the Springsteenesque intro (and I am a huge Springsteen fan). And not like the original, but original enough, and the power of the song is that it is Your Story, sung by You! It always brings goosebumps allover my body, and tears to my eyes when I hear, and especially watch you sing it. Wow Kaz, wow! 68 days, 23 hours, 13 minutes and 10 seconds to Harderwijk :-) But who'se counting?
