I do agree with you about Kaz having a great ‘blues’, and ‘soul’, voice, BUT NOT when I hear this particular song (or the others she wrote the lyrics for like this one recently, based on her own personal life experiences). It’s just as 💖 as her others, however I wouldn’t consider it as a blues voice at all. If I were to choose one that was - I think it would be more like many of the covers she did (i.e. of Nina Simone and Etta James). BTW: They are just as great as this, and ALL her others imo! 👏 👍!

I go to a lot of concerts and the vast majority of the bands I get to see are truly great and offer a fun night out. But once in a while you come across something that transcends this and is simply pure and authentic. Yesterday I was lucky to be part of the Live in Brezoi release night in HeyHoef in the Nl and it was a concert that will stay with me for a long time. What a band with magnificent musicians and of course that VOICE !! Hope to see Kaz and her band again and maybe then in Belgium ? ( a small hint - De Roma in Amtwerp would be such a perfect venue for this 😊)
