I was adopted and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! It saved me and made me finally feel true unconditional love rather that been abused and neglected like I was just an object. Also me and my mum have the closest relationship because she saved me and gave me start to love myself. If you go the Foster system you will experience love and loyalty like no other just for showing compassion. Love you both and stay positive 💛 its infections 😊
I love hearing these stories! I have wanted to foster and adopt my entire life (since I was really young and thinking of future) and in a few years we’ll be going that route and I cannot wait for that!
I believe he meant like how he is attracted her self and body confidence is better when she workout/care about her health. We all feel pretty darn good when we are in shape or having a great workout. It’s the truth cause I’m sure he hears like my partner does when I was negative talking about myself and my body. Since I workout and eat healthy I am a lot happier now.

Ouch. I feel like there was a better way to tell Bella about how you’re attracted to her current body without making it seem like you’ll only be wildly attracted to her when she’s running 5 miles a day, in the gym for hours, etc. That definitely planted some seeds of doubt you may want to address.
I adopted my daughter first and now starting the IVF process and she is 3 years old. Best decision I ever made ❤ She means everything to me and makes the IVF process feel less scary because I know in my heart, I am already someone’s Mama so the pressure isn’t so heavy because I’ve already found my purpose. We suffered infertility, well multiple miscarriages! Hardest years of our life. After our 4th, we both looked at each other and said how about we foster. Our story is a little different because we took on a sibling set, youngest being two days old. The week we brought her home, found out I was pregnant. Long story short adopted three and had two biological kids. It’s been a crazy ride, but never a dull moment!

My mom struggled with infertility for 10 years and failed IVF as well and adopted both of my sisters and then a few years later I was conceived biologically by a complete miracle when they weren’t even trying. I loved my experience growing up and I believe it helped my sisters a lot with the identity crisis that adoption can cause at times because I was born after them.

Agree that parenting is such a blessing but also is the majority of the stress in our marriage. In the early years, it was easy to be on the same page but as the kids get into middle and high school, it can be a bit of a stressor and a challenge on the relationship. Communication is the key!
As someone who also struggled with infertility (& now secondary infertility) and knowing the pain that comes with it, the question about “did you fake infertility for views” made me so mad for y’all.
Ugh! Not eating your own wedding food stinks! Why??!! I remember just chowing down on my wedding dinner… to the point where my uncle (sitting at the table right in front of us) actually commented about me eating like I was starving. I replied, “We paid good money for this food! There’s no way I’m not going to enjoy every bite!” Funny thing is, his own daughter struggled with food issues (and her weight) for her entire life, and I imagine his attitude didn’t help!

I disagree. I've been very happily married for 17 years and have 4 children. To me marriage is not hard. Parenting is hard. I really think it depends on the personalities and softness of heart of those in the marriage that lends to its level of perceived difficulty.
Congratulations to you I think this is true that the personality of the person has a lot to do with a happy marriage I've been married 20 years I don't work I raise my two sons at home. And if I have to do it again all over again I won't I think it's a lot of work in my opinion with a lot of ups and downs. In my case because my husband doesn't help me much.
Despite building our foundation on God, marriage is work and can get hard. It is certainly not easy. Before God, my husband and I went through a lot of tough things, but it did get easier (not easy though) when we started loving our heavenly father.
I agree with this. I’ve been married 8 years and I’m due any day with our 4th baby. I love my marriage and it’s the thing that holds me together lol. The parenting is what usually makes us tired but we also love our kids and being parents. I think a good marriage takes a lot of communication and sacrifice.-Which a lot of relationships lack causing marriages to be hard. Luckily for my husband and I, these are things we are constantly working on so it makes a world of difference!

Per the comment being friends with exes. I won't say I'm friends with my ex but we did divorce while our kids were 6, 9 and 11. We put our kids first and did things together as a family. We both were invited to family dinners from each others parents. My uncle and his ex wife stayed friends even after remarriage. This is far better for the kids than just a flat no relationship. That only works if there are no children involved.

Absolutely. And it's, in my opinion, learning about the other person's communication style and finding a healthy way for both of you to use.

I call my infertility a "living grief." I have no promise I'll be pregnant, and there are reminders of that which I've not yet experienced.

I think a good marriage takes a lot of communication and sacrifice.-Which a lot of relationships lack causing marriages to be hard. Luckily for my husband and I, these are things we are constantly working on so it makes a world of difference!

Per the comment being friends with exes. I won't say I'm friends with my ex but we did divorce while our kids were 6, 9 and 11. We put our kids first and did things together as a family. We both were invited to family dinners from each others parents. My uncle and his ex wife stayed friends even after remarriage. This is far better for the kids than just a flat no relationship. That only works if there are no children involved.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate it so much that you guys planned on adopting before you even knew about your infertility. There are so many kids out there that need homes and that should not fall on people solely who cannot have kids biologically. So the fact that you were hoping to have some biological and some adopted is a truly heroic thing. ❤
