The Plastic Paddy I agree that the ones without celebrities are better. But to be honest, most of his fan base are likely casual fans who don’t actually care about video games and just want to see Conan and maybe some celebs so this probably appeals to a wider audience than the original videos.
Clueless Gamer used to be just a segment for his gaming audience.
Now it's basically just the talk show but with games in the background.

Aaron Judge seems like a nice guy, but he didn't mesh with Conan's tone in this segment. Aaron Judge seemed to mesh better with Aaron Bleyart. More Aaron Bleyart, please!

I think they forgot we watched bc we still wanted to know about the game and see him mess around inside it. Not just hang out with someone who doesn't even want to be there.
Ehh. Depends on the celebrity. The FF with Elijah Wood, and the Mortal Kombat one with those very eccentric NFL players, were hilarious and on key for pointing out some of the weird viewpoints our dear Conan has on these games. Hmmm. Also the one with the Terry Crews and Battlefield. So there are times the personalities do match up well. It's just such a hit and miss thing, we want Aaron Blayart who we know works.
Dave , sure some sporadic episodes with celebs were quite funny, but they would have been even better with more Bleyart in it :) in fact, just skip the celebs, just bleyart and conan would be even better!

I miss the good old times where Conan and Blay would cosplay and play video games together. Celebrities are boring when it comes to gaming. Nerds prefer real nerd like Blay vs noob gamer like Conan.

Or at least bring celebrities with a little knowledge and/or interest about gaming; like Elijah Wood, Marshawn Lynch, PewdiePie, those ones were good. Last one "God of War with Bill hader" was painful, guest had zero interest for a brilliant game. Same as the "Cuphead with Kate Upton" episode: awkward jokes and no interest for the videogame.

I know that these kinds of segments are aimed at children with little understanding of the real world, but Connan is a TV show personality, he literally cannot sell out more than that. It's literally his occupation to sell out, it's how he makes his living.
In an interview, Andy said they made almost nothing out of this segments. Conan just makes them to entertain his young fanbase because they seem to like this type of things. I understand what you mean by sell out but, I don't see it much as a sellout because he is being different than other late night hosts. Other channels wouldn't waste time on things that don't generate much money.
I heard they charge a LOT of money for doing a clueless gamer. The last two games were both Sony published. I imagine a big amount money swapped hands to advertise them. It was probably stipulated that Aaron Judge (the cover star) be involved in this one too. I think they can still do this, but it would be nice if they did the old style clueless gamer too.
Outlast cost like $20k to advertise iirc.

It seems like the TeamCoco staff takes some of the suggestions into consideration, so please, more episodes with Aaron. The dynamic between someone who knows nothing vs someone who's a fan is a great dichotomy for comedy already, and Bley and Conan have known eachother a decade so they bust balls. If you're going to post videos without Bley please change the title, It's not the same without him. Thanks

bee I agree 100%. The early clueless gamer videos with Bley were very funny and entertaining. They actually played the games extensively and commented on them. Now it’s just basically another celebrity interview segment with video games as a back drop. That’s what most of the rest of the show is about already, so this segment needs to be something different. They had a good thing going and ruined it.
