I remember 3pm on a weekday running home from the bus stop to make it home in time to catch Fritz's World Class on our local TV channel 49 WGCB out of Red Lion, PA with the roof mounted directional aerial antenna and the huge Zenith tube color TV.
Not to sound like a jerk but I had no idea Marc would be so damn interesting to listen to in regards to the history of everything he knows with the 🤼♂️ wrestling he was involved with. You are a really really good listen.
The legend Lowrance. Grew up watching Mark announce WCCW and we lived in Wichita Falls Texas. WCCW was HUGE. Mark was a big part of that! Good to see him! So funny how he'd be sarcastic at times.
I watched World Class every weekend here in Houston back in the day. Loved visiting my Dad in Dallas, we would go to the Sportatorium every Friday night for some Von Ericks, Freebirds, Ice man King Parsons. Chris Adams! Good times. What I would do to be that young kid to sit there with my pops watching the matches.

I was 11 years old July 4th 1985 and I saw referee David Manning got caught in the rope being choked and Mark Lowrance help get them out of there this was during the Von Erichs vs Gino Hernandez and Gentleman Chris Adams.

We were invited out to meet Fritz and Doris during the construction. He was a very nice man, but I also think he cast a very big shadow.
Yeah, that old Sportatorium really was a dump, but oh the amazing talents that performed in that place. Not just wrestlers but also some great bands as well. Damn shame it's not there anymore. But still, a great historic place in our history.

Yeah, it was great to get the chance to speak with him. And I like to ask all kinds of questions. Sometimes people ask me to ask certain questions. Hey, if you don't know the answer, it's not a dumb question. Mark Lowrance is one of the voices of my childhood too. I'm glad he was able to come on for all of us to watch and listen to.
I like Mark . He is a straight shooter . He is a born again individual but not a such a goody two shoes that he cannot tell a compelling story about a dirty business .
I am not a fan of those reproduction belts . The real ones lose their mystique when every mark owns one . I get the allure but if I ran a territory I would trademark my belt .
I first became aware of wrestling in 1974 but did not start watching until 1978 . I miss the old stuff . Had I known that gimmicky schlock is what it would become I would have never gotten hooked and would have gotten involved with something else . I was totally disgusted with Wrestling by 2000 . 22 years a fan and I just walked away . My son is not a fan nor is my grandson . Wrestling lost its generational appeal .
