For anyone who couldn't access the bolt on the ABS bracket between the engine like me -- you don't need to touch it. You don't don't have to remove any of the bolts holding the bracket, actually. If you have a flex head wrench or ratchet, you can access the motor mount bolt underneath the ABS module. When putting it back, I'd recommend using some blue thread locker and making sure it's nice and tight though since you probably won't be able to get a torque wrench in there.
1A auto parts I was stupid and did a burnout and slammed it into second gear and i felt something give loose i cant explain it I pulled over and saw that fluid almost red couldnt really tell was on my hood and dripping down it wasnt oil or power steering fluid the liquid had enough force to spray the hood but no hoses were loose or leaking once im in first and press my clutch there is like a jerking motion under the hood is it my mount it was right were
Brian Peterson the only red fluid i have running in my two 2002-2003 civics is transmission fluid. I did the same thing (burnout) except it was my water pump seal that failed and dumped green coolant everywhere.
I just replaced the 3 mounts under the hood on my 04 civic, 1.7 vetec, manual, now I have a noticeable engine vibration that wasn't there before.. Followed the video to the letter. Any help ?

I know this is a late answer, but this may help someone else. I doubt anything is wrong. The engine mounts that you replaced were probably really worn out and extremely loose and as a result, it'd minimize the engine's vibrations on the frame. New engine mounts are a lot stiffer and thus pass on a lot more vibrations from the engine to the frame and so you'd feel a lot more in the driver's seat
So, I just did this on my 2002 4DR Civic and my bracket used 17mm nuts. Just FYI for those of you that have a similar car to mine. The bolts for the engine mount were 14 mm.
+ChristinaSmileyy You will have to visually inspect the mounts. Typically the rubber will be cracked and worn. In some cases the hydraulic fluid will leak out, but that is only if the mount has fluid. 1aauto.com
Have someone start vehicle and observe if the engine moves in any direction, also shift in D or R and observe movement back or forth. The mount in this video goes bad the least, transmission mount and front the most.

So what was it ?
Fyi theres a difference between the coupe motor mount or the sedan version. They are two different parts so be careful.
+Drknight1212 Thank you for the added tip. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
@@1AAuto j thanks for the info and or fact
Where the bracket connects to the studs on the engine one of mine are gone and had stripped the threads from the block is that piece replaceable
The issue is why did you remove the bolts from the engine? just the braket bolts were needed to remove.
My problem is under the bracket on the motor how can I change that?
You just made my job soooooo much easier! THANKS!!
Been trying to replace this for a couple days, thanks for showing me how to remove ABS component!!
No problem. Glad to hear it helped you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393

It is probably because you went with aftermarket engine mounts.
I know this is a late answer, but this may help someone else.

I would say give it a few weeks. The mounts are new.

I just found that out. Lol thanks.
the bracket on mine broke. where can I buy the bracket?
Moises Virella wrecking yard nearest you. Or look on CL for anyone parting out a civic
My question is how do u know which motor mount needs to be replaced? Since there's 4

I would just change all 4 to be on the safe side

Work on a cool engine. I believe my engine was too warm and I stripped the two bolt holes for the bolts rising out of the aluminum block engine.
They were stripped or you did something wrong. It's not spark plugs to need to have the engine cool
Your videos are much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
