Rob you are an exceptional engineer. The passion he has for his work, you would swear he was building this boat for his son or for himself.
Seavee produces the most well thought out and executed center consoles available on the market. The passion the owners and engineers have shows through in their products
The 43 FA was a great boat, the fact that you could get inboard was extra great.
i have watched hours of Haulover Inlet videos and there is one V hull boat that to me that appears to handle the stacked steep 1/2 second period waves and that is the SeaVee. It stands out clearly over the contendors, regulators, and myabe everglades, as well as the midnight express party boats. I can't wait until I win the lottery so i can come pick mine up, lol
You really can't judge a boat's performance by watching UA-cam videos lol. An experienced captain can take almost any vessel through a rough inlet and make it look rock solid. That being said, sea vee has a good hull design and they make a quality boat. But for fiberglass, the king is probably Intrepid. Among many factors, they tend to be used (towed) as tenders for mega yachts. An incredible amount of stress is put upon a hull during a transoceanic journey.
@@jimminyxmas normally I would agree about not assuming to know something based on YT videos but I have to say those Haulover vids of 1000s of boats taking on rough bar crossing conditions and being filmed from a side view and now drone footage, really does showcase the boats’ characteristics. The SeaVees and big Everglades have done better than anything else out there. I learned after watching 100s of boats stuff the bow with pro captains at the wheel that I wouldn’t take a Midnight Express out of the river unless I’m remaking The Hunt For Red October on those unintentional submarines. 😂

I would have liked to find out two other things, one was asked in the live chat but never answered.
1. Is the A/C reverse cycle capable?
2. What is the air draft to the top of the hard top (without the tower or riggers)?
Love the boat. Love the door but what is the option to open in case of loss of power or if the button fails?
I'm curious, having racing motors on a fishing boat. Can you do slow trolling with them like the Verado motors. Racing motors are tuned and built differently than none race motors, right?
Nice boat. Why are the fish boxes in the cockpit so small?? If I’m bringing a 300lb fish home where do I put it?

if you want this to be a, "family boat", those sides need to fold down into a swim platform like the Scout doors. Also scuba is a real PITA when those doors are so narrow.

I’m sure it can be done, but I’d like the 2 stern corner livewells combined and moved to the centreline. I prefer my crew to fight fish in the aft corners, it’s just one of my little idiosyncrasies.
Love the boat, BUT. If I am somewhere spending the night all secure in that wonderful cabin. I wake up in the morning hot and uncomfortable only to find that I got no power nothing. Is a semi - Fat older gentleman like myself going to get out through that hatch above? Is there a way to manually open that cabin door once it has positioned itself closed?

THE BOAT SHOULD ONLY HAVE THREE ENGINES. FOUR IS TOO MANY AND LIVE WELLS ARE NOT IN THE FRONT OF THE ENGINES. GOOD IDEA.
