@@60CycleHumcast Question, is there a way to set an expression pedal to turn the Auto-Wah into a manual Wah the way the MD-200 can?

Freaking awesome pedal, been waiting for this to drop since I saw the NAMM demo of it last year. Thanks for the video, Ryan - I WANT ONE!! 🤩

How many of the effects can be active at once? I have a few songs I play with chorus, tremolo, phaser, and univibe all at once. Is that possible with this one pedal?

I was wondering g the same question. The I use so many individual mod sounds I can still find a ton of uses for this but would be amazing to be able to use multiple modulations for settings.

    • @heartpath1
      @heartpath1 Рік тому

Def only 1 effect at a time with this. A toolbox of modulation effects in one pedal. If you use lots of mod at once I’d get a Kemper, Helix, QuadC, HX FX, or TC Plethora 5. Of course it’s always fun to get a dedicated pedal for each effect as long as you don’t mind lugging a huge board. 😉

I do, its kind of perfect for my demo rig. Takes pedals great and lets me dial in edge of breakup tone for boosted demos without murdering my ears.

It’s Wampler. That’s how. However obviously Line 6 isn’t the same company from 2001 who made cheap sounding poorly emulated stuff. But Wampler makes great stuff.

You've perfectly demonstrated a little quirk of this pedal, which other users should be made aware of so that they don't think their pedal is faulty.
You had the rotary effect in its slow speed setting and then changed to a different algorithm at 11:14. When you do this, the tap tempo LED gets stuck at the slow flashing rate of the slow speed rotary setting.
When you subsequently started moving the rate knob on other algorithms, the rate of the effect was changing but the tap tempo LED wasn't indicating the true rate setting.
It looks like you realised this issue before you started to use the tap tempo on the Auto-Wah effect - hence the edit that occurs shortly after 17:38 after which the tap tempo LED is magically back in sync with the rate knob setting/tap tempo button input.
The way to get around this issue is to switch to the rotary effect's high speed setting before changing the algorithm. Alternatively, turn the algorithm selection knob back to the rotary effect. This is because the rotary effect defaults to its high speed setting when you select it, which clears the issue.
The issue would also be cleared if you quickly pass-through the rotary position when switching from an algorithm on one side of the rotary effect position to an effect on the other side of the rotary effect position.
So it looks like a firmware update is required. But unless there is a USB port inside the pedal (like some Strymon pedals) or a firmware update can be applied via the MIDI port, I'm not sure the firmware of this pedal can be updated?
I noticed that your demo video is the result of a 'paid promotion'. And you've not mentioned any issues that you must have run into when demoing this pedal.
I appreciate the paid promotion potentially puts you in a difficult position, but if you come across any unexpected/weird behaviour of a product when demoing it, please don't edit it out any issues you come across. Your viewers want an honest, 'warts-and-all' demo so that we know what to expect if we decide to purchase.
If any issues with a product aren't highlighted, then nothing gets fixed.
Otherwise it's a good run through of the pedal's sounds. And despite the minor, initially confusing issue with the pedal noted above, it is a fantastic pedal & well worth the money.
And, yes, I do have too much spare time on my hands - but that's what a lockdown during a global pandemic does for you.

I tend to point out issues when I run into them, I filmed this so long ago though I honestly don’t remember though. This is a pretty involved pedal, it’s possible I thought it was user error in the moment or the edit was due to me saying something dumb (it happens a lot)

Good luck setting this pedal up for live use. Bought a MIDI device to use to help - I'm new to it. Asked Wampler for help. Was told "I need to man up" after doing HOURS of research online, and messing with both the Terraform and the other device, to no avail. Actually, the person who helped me, Terry, or Jerry, was rude from the second they answered the phone. Basically, the conversation ended with Terry or Jerry or whoever talking over me and not letting me speak until I had to hang up. I will NEVER buy another Wampler product.
