    I had a tryout with TNA way back and Bruce was super cool. I was friends with bischoffs son and some of the other guys and Bruce was one of the nicest I met. You can't be a mark backstage but meeting Bruce flair angle and bischoff was awesome. Butsurprisingly one of the people that I was most excited to meet, and was probably the only person who remembered my name was Jason Hervey. I was a huge Wonder Years fan when I was a kid even though I was really really young when it was on TV and I loved back to the Future so it was really cool meeting all of them but for some reason I was extremely excited to meet him haha

    I'm so intrigued by how the Wrestling culture really is behind the scenes.
    With Vince having basically a monopoly on a entire genre of entertainment you would think that he would set the tone from the top down to keep people focused and empowered for his interest.
    But then I'm starting to realize that Vince must prefer having a certain amount of paranoia + backstabbing, etc etc.
    Its truly bizarre

    Eric left a mark in the business that is for sure. He is a first ballad hall of famer. They answered the question of what happened when hell freeze over. I agree with Bruce, he should go in by himself. I think Vince was trying to test Eric and see would he last cause this is the same man who tried to throw Vince out of business. Bruce's impression in this episode are funnier than hell.

    It's so funny how oblivious the wrestling world is to martial arts. Almost says, "Vince would have murdered Eric in a real fight". Which is funny considering Bischoff had legitimately competed in martial arts tournaments and we've never heard about Vince being in a single fight. I know the WWE marks don't want to hear this, and Eric is comfortable enough with himself to stay on good terms with Vince, but the odds are that Eric would have broke his face in a real fight. Being jacked and having a strong personality isn't going to give you an advantage over a trained fighter. It's the same reason Goldberg wouldn't kick Jon Jones ass or why The Rock isn't kicking Connor McGregor's ass anytime soon.. These are the same people who think Meng would kick Lesnar's ass in a fight, when in reality Meng wasn't even stupid enough to buck up to Scott Steiner when he was bullying the WCW locker room in 2000-2001. It's so crazy how delusional some people who eat, sleep, and shit wrestling 24/7 can be... Eric is a chill guy, so he'll say "Vince probably would have won", but every time I hear this story I shake my head. My money was on Vince trying to box or grapple him, and Eric striking him down pretty easily. Let's speak in terms of reality here people. Eric had every advantage aside from size, and Vince wasn't THAT much bigger than him. Especially considering his training, his age, and the fact that he had a clear advantage in speed. My money would have been on Vince getting mopped up, just like Lesnar and Lashley would have beaten Haku's face in. I believe Haku felt the same way about Steiner and that's why he never defended the WCW locker room during Scott's rage period.

    • @TheScottchristophers

      Justin Jockisch always thought the same thing

    • @justinjockisch4105
      @justinjockisch4105 6 років тому +1

      Jokers Improviganza: Not saying that these guys aren't tough as fuck, but most of these wrestling personalities just don't understand fighting.. There's a difference between being tough and being a trained fighter. No matter how many stories I hear about Haku beating up some guy in a bar, I'm like "Yeah, but that's not the 6'3 290lb former UFC Heavyweight Champion. That's just Earl, the local fire fighter". I strongly believe that Meng knew that and that's why when Steiner was scaring the fuck out of people and demanding matches to be changed, Meng never confronted him. These Chuck Norris-esq stories about Meng are fun to listen to, and he would probably murder 95% of the people in pro wrestling history, but guys like Scott and Rick Steiner weren't among them. Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley are just out of the question altogether.. So when I see these people talk about how Vince would kick Bischoff's ass, I'm just thinking, "based on what?". Anyone who knows anything about legitimate fighting knows Eric had every advantage except for a slight size disadvantage that most likely wouldn't have mattered in the slightest. That's why Bischoff always smirks when he says, "I didn't care who won. I just wanted people to tune in. Vince probably would have got me".. Eric is very cool headed and diplomatic, so of course he's not going to say, "I would have starched that delusional old sociopath".. If he did he would never appear on WWE television again. Eric's protecting his legacy.

    I like and respect Ric Flair, but he's full of shit. He's going around attacking people and talking like a badass threatening Hogan and Bischoff, but literally everyone in WCW said he was a pussy who cried everytime he got upset. I'm not buying it. He was around Hogan many times throughout the years and never tried fighting him, despite Hogan being a talent just like him... I'm not buying it. Flair was never talked about like he was a tough guy, and let's be honest, Hogan was 6'7" and about 50lbs of muscle bigger than Flair. Isn't it strange how many people wanted to fight Hogan and never did?? Least of all Ric Flair, who probably would have got his ass kicked.

  • @michaelforsythe9350
    @michaelforsythe9350 5 років тому

    What the hell is Bruce talking about when he said that The WWE (@ The time WWF) already had the Hogan/Flair match & then saying that they didn't have much success from their match? I don't remember them being on any PPV's or even any Saturday Night's Main Event's. If they did have it should had been around Wrestlemania IIX & it would have been one of the biggest Wrestlemania matches ever @ the time. I'm pretty sure that was it because neither of them was willing to put the other one over, so I don't get why Bruce was saying what he said about them already having the match without any success. I think they had a couple of house show matches, maybe that's what Bruce was talking about? Maybe the house show matches they had where no good, but I can't picture Flair not being able to have a good match with anyone, even Hogan who couldn't wrestle.

Anyway, Hardcore-TV wasn't on a network, iirc - you could only really see it in the Philly area at first until word of mouth got it carried by other local stations in other large metropolitan areas. My point is that we should probably be more specific, unless it happened during the ECW on TNN era - which would surprise me. Where did you hear this, anyway?
