All US Army & Naval Swords were made in Solingen, Germany right up untill 1914. CSA Swords were made in Sheffield, England, and in Turkey for the curved blade horse mounted units.
My great-great grandfather was a member of the 103rd Illinois Infantry, "K" Company. He too survived the war, but had a very difficult time; was wounded w/ buckshot in the left leg at the siege of Vicksburg running ammunition & ambulance as a Wagonmaster. God bless and rest these brave souls that fought for our country...
Our family have guns swords bayonets knives from all the wars my family has fought in from the revolutionary War to today all will be passed on not sold or on any roadshow

Not true. America had sword producers such as Ames Manufacturing Company. Go look it up.
