You are right, though I understand the rich and powerful supporting him because they think he will make them richer or not tax them. The USA needs an independent electoral commission, like we have in Australia. What more can one expect from a party that in 2020 put people at ballot drop-boxes to harass them and to threaten them. I saw people trying to drop off their ballots with people standing between them and the ballot drop-boxes an not allowing them access. Some had to call for police protecting, simply to drop off their ballots. And I also saw those people follow voters after they had dropped off their ballots, again screaming at them, asking them questions about their ballots and basicallty scaring the crap out of them. They even followed some of the voters in their cars. This kind of harassment must be stopped and, if the Republicans can't control their people, the police can!

Another independent here, voting blue across the board this November! I’ve never voted for Trump, I’ve seen his disgusting behavior over the years, and after calling for the death penalty for the Central Park 5 on a full page newspaper ad, and doubling down after they were proven to be innocent, saying they were still up to no good (because they were 5 young black boys in the park together) & were probably committing some kind of crime & deserved all the time they served, & opposed them getting any type of settlement payment for their wrongful convictions… their lives & the lives of their families were devastated, permanently destroyed! Trump is a disgusting human who now wants to be a dictator. I get racists, but my mind is blown that Evangelicals are dedicated to him, thinking he was sent from God, they’ll loose their freedom of religion if Trump doesn’t win.

Better: the FEC can simply pass a rule that any state engaging in such behavior will be discounted from Federal elections. As in, entire states get no say. Guaranteed things would change quickly if something like that was passed.

Volunteering is even more important. If you can spare some time contact your local campaign and ask what you can do to help.
Even basic things like helping elderly voters check their registration, or helping people with info on early voting, arrange for transportation on voting day, etc. can make a difference. Did you hear that in Texas the AG has sent the police to intimidate voting rights activists?

Democrats fail to remember that Kemp was the Secretary Of The State Of Georgia In Charge Of Voting when he ran for Governor of Georgia, against Stacy Abraham, that he refused to step down from that position because it was a conflict of interest and he was removing people registered to vote mainly Democrats and minorities living primarily in and around cities. Kemp is no different from the MAGA Republicans and has been pushing agendas along with his Republican cohorts to destroy or hinder the Right to Vote and other Civil Rights for years now. Kemp only defeated Stacy Abraham by playing dirty political games and is scheming to assist Trump in winning the state of Georgia ( allegedly) Last night he attended a fundraising event for Trump and stated he supports Trump and will vote for him. 20 yrs ago, my first time voting I couldn’t because Republicans made it SUPER hard for college kids in my state to vote. I knew then that anyone trying to make it HARDER to vote for people who are legally eligible to, doesn’t care about democracy.
I had also been told since then that Republicans were the party of the working class, but when asked for more info, no one could give me a single example of this. In 20 YEARS.
I’s so happy their hypocrisy and false public image is finally crumbling and Democrats are FINALLY fighting back in meaningful ways.
