@@JamieMakin I'm very happy for him and can' thank him enough for all he's done. I got to talk to him briefly last summer and expressed my gratitude. My wife and I rode behind 2102 in the mid 80s when he first bought it.
Morning Jamie! Beautiful captures! You certainly put the miles in today, Jamie. I know it's a labor of love, but I appreciate your hard work. I think I like the sounds better than the visuals if I had to pick one. Those Estelle's and clanks and bells always get me. Hope you're having a great day, friend. See you down the tracks! 29:14
Good morning, Dennis! Thanks for watching and for your kind words. The sounds of trains often go under appreciated by many, but I'm glad it's something you notice and enjoy. Hope you're doing well too, and I'll see you down the tracks you leave in the sand driving on the beach!
Awesome video Jamie! Andy looked like he was having fun running 2102 to Tamaqua and then riding on top of the tender for the trip back to Port Clinton. Can’t wait to ride the Iron Horse Ramble next month from Nesquehoning to Tunkhannock in the Salisbury Beach.
Thanks so much, Joe! Andy and Tyler definitely looked happy and relaxed riding on the tender. I would have loved to see the view from out there. I hope you enjoy your ride next month too!
Excellent Video Jamie and awesome Catches! Luca and I watched while i fed luca lunch. Lets just say he was more interested in 2102 then the spoonfuls of food.... and that is unusual for him. He loves his food! Glad you were able to get out and catch this to share with us all who couldnt! Take care!
Thanks so much, Ian! You're raising Luca right lol! That kid's got his priorities straight, and before you know it he will be in the back seat begging you to chase the black steam engine too.
It may seem strange to describe an object like a steam locomotive as “beautiful” but what a great looking machine. For all those who had a hand on restoring it 👍👍👏👏
Awesome video Jamie! I slipped into your shots at port Clinton 😅 I’m in the black realtree shirt and black pants! Nice to see everyone out enjoying this magnificent piece of machinery!
Real nice one, Jaime! You're right, this was a very relaxing video. Seems like everyone in it just sat back and took everything in as I did! Great job 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Another amazing video!! We were able to get most of the chase today too. It was so much less stressful this time 😊 Thanks again for sharing your video. Love the shots at Port Clinton!
Thanks! And that was a bit dicey, especially at Mill Mountain Road. That was some of the other chasers going through the curves, but I know they know to look out for other chasers ... at least I hope they do lol.
@@JamieMakin Thanks Jamie I just started UA-cam at the end of February. I went by my name on other comment on your channel I posted a few on the 2102 and did well on them .
@@JamieMakin I forgot to mention I do have a video I posted awhile of those 2 passenger cars being delivered to R&N . When they passed thru Hummelstown Pa.The quality is a little bad the weather was bad snowing very gloomy day for recording.
Awesome video Jamie! That was probably the least stressful 2102 chase you’ve ever had lol! Wish I could’ve been there too, but luckily it won’t be long till my ride on the 25th. Also really liked that ending shot you got at the return to the steam shop, not sure if anyone has gotten that angle before.
Thanks so much, Collin! I really wish you could have been on the chase too. I know you would have been if it happened a few days later. Doing a leisurely chase like this was so different, and it was nice to be able to put more thought into my shots at each location in order to get some new views.
Good Afternoon Jamie! Gotta love 2102, So glad shes back and ready for the rambles! Unfortunately i cannot make any of the rambles this summer. But i am planning on attending fall foilage trips! Busy summer ahead of me, Thankfully not school related 😅! Scott
Good morning, Scott! Glad you enjoyed my video, but sorry that you won't be able to ride or chase any of this summer's Rambles. Hopefully they'll run her again on some fall foliage trips for you. And I hope your summer plans are fun one as well.
Lol same! Usually I'm just snagging whatever shot I can get as the train barrels towards me; this time was nice being able to think and try some new angles.
It's always nice to see Andy enjoying his locomotive. He deserves it!
He sure does! He looked really happy and relaxed that day.

Jamie, you are AMAZING - applying your big brain and big heart and big energy to allow us armchair engineers to have our dreams. Thank you. ❤
Thanks so much! It's a pleasure to chase the trains, edit the videos, and share them with those who appreciate it.

My friend Frank who died of cancer in 2019 was a millwright for the Reading Company and septa, I hope he is able to view this day's event
I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sure he was looking down from above enjoying the day's run.
She’s back🖤💛
What a beautiful locomotive, glad to see it up and running!!!😂
Thanks so much!

Machinery can definitely be a thing of beauty, especially with old steam locomotives.
Jamie, appreciate all videos you do, very Informational. Great camera work on this, good locations and positioning.
Thanks so much! Glad you been enjoying them!
Well this was a surprise!! Thank you Jamie 😊

Thanks so much! Cool that you were out to enjoy 2102 that day and that you got to see yourself in my video.
Well don video capturing a great looking and sounding locomotive. I hope to catch a ride this year as I did about 33 yards ago.
Thanks so much! I hope you're able to take a ride this year, it's well worth it!
2102 with quiet stack talk isn’t real, it can’t hurt you.
2102 with quiet stack talk:
Good morning Jamie. Back for a rewatch friend. 29:21
Thanks, Dennis!
Why did I just notice now the tender light is a repurposed ditch light. Wonder what happened to the original housing. Great video as always.
Thanks so much! And that's a good question about the original housing for the tender light.
I will be on that first run to Jim Thorpe the end of May.
Awesome! Enjoy your ride, and I'll likely be out chasing it.

There is just something about steam locos.
There sure is!
I saw your video. Very nice. Nice meeting you as well. John

Great "captures"......what a wonderful machine!! You must have had a memorable day.

A great chase, Jamie. But some of the road traffic didn’t give you much quarter! 😮

i know the video is about 2102 but if look closely you can see 425's headlight on her door on the floor
Cool catch, thanks!
Nice catches Jamie. I wish i would have known about that run. Got her at Milino and Shoemakersville last August and October.

Two of the Rambles in June and August go up the Lehigh Line, a first for #2102. I'm riding the June 22 one to Tunkhannock.

Cool Shot Bro
Thanks!
what axle work did they do to 2102 jamie? i didn't realize she needed it?
I'm not sure the specifics of the work. The crew was a bit too busy that day for me to get a chance to talk to them about it.
@@JamieMakin ah ok, no worries.
Sweet video, Jamie. Thank you! Slow roll for photo ops?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! The slower speed was a break-in for recent axle work and new parts related to it.
😊 Nice lol
Thanks Blake!
The clouds are moving faster than the train. 😂
Lol indeed they were!

Is 2102 an oil burner or cole.
2102 burns 🔥 the good stuff Anthracite Coal
Coal ... and they run it mostly off bituminous coal.
why so slow?
They're testing some recent axle work.
It was a break-in run for some axle work and new parts related to that.
Fantastic video Jamie
Thanks so much!
