Thin ice and steep rocky slopes. You had quite the adventure at both lakes. Too sketchy for me. You caught your limit like five times with the ones you lost but at least you caught some nice ones and some keepers. Beautiful view up there too. Well done. Have a great day.
I went to cleveland the same weekend as you.caught 1 nice cuttie and my nephew caught 6 bows.action got really slow so we moved up the road and done awesome with splake.
Nice cold float at deer creek! I think i am going to hit it before it freezes. I missed a spike elk above Cleveland res. when I was 16. haha. Love that place!
@@baitnbullets Most years are iffy as to whether or not it does freeze. There's always some safe ice up in the shallow end, but not for very long, it seems.
I’ve struggled with hooksets a lot myself lately. I’m glad you went to Cleveland. I was thinking of trying it but now I think I will hold off. Did you see if the road to miller flat res was closed?
@GillsNReelsFishing I feel like I missed three strikes for every fish caught, so if your hook set is on point, you may do well. I did have three nice fish in the line there that would have made the others irrelevant, had I landed them.

Nothin says death wish like haulin a tube down the icy slope at Deer Creek! I'm glad you made it in and out safely. You are definitely determined!
@Hookset333 😆 That's nothing compared to the dam arm at Joe's Valley. I too, am glad I made it in and out safely. Thanks.
You did better than us at Cleveland. The ice was good for us. Always a good day at DC. The views alone are worth it.
@@FishSteelerChronicles That has been the major redeeming quality I've found with DC. It's not the fishing, usually. 😂
Ive noticed the bite has been early there rather than later. I've done well around the ramps this time of year (for stockers). Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff

I feel that frustration. 😅
@@kingkiddfishing So frustrating!😖
Last time I did Deer Creek on a tube was 1990 as a kid. I'll check this out in a bit!
Did you go check out Electric when you were up there at Cleveland? One year we did really well at Electric for Kokanee in March.
@OutFishing13Matthew No, I ran out of time. I know the dam area was still open water, though.

@@FishfearmeStudios As of last week, the gate was not closed by the highway, but the road was covered with snow.
I was going to try Cleveland and seems like it isn’t really hot right now.

Any fish is better then no fish.
