Midnight liking daffodils was one of Page's biggest triumphs to share with her village, and it turned out to be a mistake. And when Midnight suddenly goes missing, his father is the first to notice his absence.
I've got another, longer amv planned that goes over this plot point in more detail and in a more writing-accurate way, but it's still a LONG way out. so i made this! i hate backgrounds. so so much.

Wow!! You've improved so much since the last upload. The backgrounds and characters are all so detailed!! The extra little grass tufts in the background and the shine in their eyes really make the whole thing pop extra well.

@@BlackieSootfur Me wondering what will happen to Midnight: Well, Page did canonically die, so maybe she died saving her child even though she was an angel and her son is a monster. But that was five years ago, so...I don't know if it really is canon anymore. And more importantly, since his half-father is Nero (a good father too), a god who is one of the biological sons of Poi, and Poi had her own half-child, Nitah, who became the goddess of death, will Midnight become a god himself as the story goes on? I imagine a dark blue circle with a slightly lighter blue-colored four point star in the middle of it being his symbol...but I'm also wondering who is the father of Luca and Nero now.
I absolutely love this animation. The dramatic irony is just insane. The movements and sync gave a perfect story, and I applaud you for that as storytelling is hard- in other news, here's my interpretation for what is displayed here! First, seeing Midnight follow those daffodils put a chill up my spine. The unsettling feeling was portrayed perfectly! Then the frame at 0:33... Absolutely amazing. The lack of mercy behind those eyes and that net was just superb. Those glowing eyes in the background only added to the scene. Watching the frame go dark and Midnight disappear at 0:38 and the true terror in Nero's eyes at 0:40 pulled at my heartstrings- another scene perfectly adding emotion! The exclamation of Page at 0:47 was similarly fearful. Although, there is something else that I interpreted from the expression, which looked like a face of realization and regret. I'm not exactly sure if that is correct, but the entire animation is still amazing and so much fun to analyze. Keep being a great inspiration and animator! ❤❤❤
AAAAA BLACKIE!!! THIS LOOKS WONDERFUL!! Demons is definitely one of my favorite series of yours (with uprooted coming in a very close second!) and I’m so, so excited to see how this story plays out.

This is amazing! The storytelling is brilliant and all the animation is really smooth. You’re really good at showing expressions on your characters as well, the last scene when Page notices that Midnight is gone is so well done! I love the idea that Midnight is obsessed with Daffodils, is so freaking cute and gives me a serotonin overload. Also Nero’s care for Midnight is also adorable.

I can't help but watch each animation you out out multiple times. The amount of love and detail you put into this. The way the hearts pop up, the ears turning back before Midnight turns around, Nero's eyes flicking to the beat, just, mwah chef's kiss💖 So excited to learn more and see what happens to Midnight! Baby boy 😭
