Ok, I can’t read another one. The “rifle” I’m refusing to use against the dude on the roof is a 9mm SMG. The shotgun had slugs, which whilst hard to use is much better to use in this scenario than 9mm. I needed potentially one or two hits to kill with it, not 6 with the 9mm.
People telling me over and over again how dumb I am is a lot of fun when they don’t seem to understand the game themselves. I had no good gun, the shotgun with slugs was the best of a bad bunch. When people try to kill me, I try to kill them back, I very rarely run away even if I’m outgunned. It’s more fun to take the fight!

A slugged shotgun at range witha 20+ inch barrell.....far more effective than a pistol cartridge from a 9-10 in barrell. You made the right call.

Tough day, even I felt it watching. There's no winning on Z, but it's sure feels good to prevail.
When you have a solid consistent squad there’s definitely victorious feel good moments that are W’s fs.
Also the all time lows where you’re all killed in a active base defense & they get away in vehicles in a moment between fresh cycles. Beauty of the game, a lot like real life. A train wreck with short commercial breathers that make you forget

Majority of the players in DayZ just kill on sight. I don't blame you for killing the guy at all, especially after giving him a chance to leave.
I KOS almost always unless the circumstance is unique or I am on the coast fully geared meeting a friend. I will avoid KOS'ing players then, cause well, that's trashy and toxic.

(Not even a situation where you down a go, he goes conscious and goes "Hey, you won." type of deal, it's normally a "Crap, these fresh spawns I have been killing have cornered me into a spot I can't get out of!" and then they go all "Hey I'm friendly now!")

A lot of the luck is who sees who first and how friendly they want to be. I am often friendly to single players but will attack multiples to improve my odds. Without knowing who they were, I was friendly to Lottie, Tope and M1nder and all in military bases and gave them weapons. I killed 10 in Novi Grad the other day because the first one I met, pissed me off.

It helps to have a sense of humor. Paul is very entertaining even when he’s a nutter.
Took a long break from DayZ playing Tarkov and FF14 a ton. Nothing gets me more amped up than a firefight in DayZ. Going (sometimes) hours without seeing a single person and then hearing the snap and bang of a rifle far away makes makes my heart race more than anything. Tarkov jump scares me sometimes but it quickly goes away. You're expecting combat everywhere. You are in DayZ too but when you think you're safe in a remote part of the map there are probably people really close on a full pop server. It's the illusion of safety and the size of the map. A lot of things make firefights in DayZ so amazing. It has its bugs sure but you can experience some really crazy and awesome unique things that make everything worth it

Late comment but next time you're in a scenario like this you should try using the 12x70mm buckshot, i'm not that into dayz yet but if the ballistics are close to real life the buckshot will spread out but it should travel far enough to hit, the spread also allows you margin of error when aiming. Great video!

I can die in the most annoying ways possible in this game and I’m fine! BUT….. When I’m playing with my wife and someone kills her or kills both of us that really really strikes a nerve for some reason.. it’s so hard to want to continue playing after that Lol!

Why does not killing someone = a bad day on DayZ.. ive spent multiple days running a map without being killed or killing anyone in med to high pop servers
Who said it did? In the intro people tried to kill me and succeeded. In none of the clips was I the aggressor. Getting killed 5 times in 5hrs is a bad day in my book.

I've got a good 900 hours in dayz(which is pretty miniscule compared to some of these chaps who really run it hard) but its ALWAYS worth it in the end for me, no matter how many times I bite the dust. Getting just one cheeky kill can make up for hours of rough runs. Good stuff man, love the message.

9mm is weak as hell. One hit with the slug could kill him. I might need 6 with the 9mm.

Thanks for showing all those deaths at the beginning. DayZ is my favorite game but I no longer have a computer. I have Xbox One X and the controls are pretty difficult for me. I always get overly excited/nervous in PvP situations and usually end up dead. I watch all you youtubers have these awesome adventures and rarely die so it makes me think I'm totally trash. Nice to see it happens to the pros as well.

Does someone wanna tell Paul how a shotgun works? Shops spread out over distance... which means ya less likely to hit someone with a significant shot across more than 50 meters

I could almost get into this game - the post-apocalyptic survivor/scavenger element is appealing but zombies don’t exist and wouldn’t exist after an apocalyptic event - I don’t like the idea and I don’t want to/can’t suspend my disbelief.
For me, the Z’s are a deal breaker.
Often, I get killed and I put my hands flat down, very controlled and calm like... then I swear that I'm never playing that fucking game again! 10 minutes later I'm up and running across that fuck all field near the barricade and the single farmhouse in Livonia again lol! With high chances of being put down again soon enough. There is definitely something about that game. Treyarch nailed it as well... probably both of them have zombies, go figure. both spin offs from a main game that are so addictive they took on a life of Their Own. Fuck all those guys oh, Paul! You go on and play exactly the way that made you try again and again and again. we are all here watching you because of that. Beware, you give power to that what you name... name it not, nor give it voice, then naught is it known and for you soon forgotten.

Ol' Paul still has situational awareness as ever. The fight still in him + skill (map knowledge as any may know). Just a shame Robert was the tm8... hahaa jk. *3:40 forward in that short bit of: "player across the road"; Tope is truly a great shot/coordinator of situational positioning. I happened to catch that live via the two separate stream's, (which I've never done prior). So thankful when TRMZ can edit. TRMZ is very, VRY engaged with his chat. That leads to loss of view on the pvp/situation. I appreciate the edited footage very much. Especially cutting what many steer clear of via YT: (twitch chat "bollocks"). All love and a hello from ghosts of the past.
I like when you KOS, it's funny. Half the fun of the game is the fact that it's hard, unpredictable, and high risk. Sometimes you KOS, sometimes you don't. As a player, you get to decide how to do it. You don't have to log into DayZ and give a fuck about peoples feelings, in game, or in these rotten goddamn comments
Why bother trying to kill someone with a shotgun from 100 metres away....No wonder you can't hit him🤦🏼♂️🤣 best option is to probably not pick a fight with no long range capabilities and you have no options. Great game of cat and mouse tho, love that aspect of dayZ👍
The guy on the roof was definitely using a Pioneer as well btw. I'm pretty sure you're right, it's the guy that had the ACOG on it. It's a wonder he didn't kill you in the first half of your standoff, he had an enormous advantage over you.
I'm wondering whether you would have pushed him with your SMG rather than trying to outsnipe him with slugs, of all things, if you had know that he had a sniper rifle. I suppose that's what some of these people here commenting you should have killed him with you Vityaz are actually suggesting.
I'm not a big fan of pushing people in a building in this game, DayZ is built too campy to have these encounters be balanced or fun, so I would've played it out just like you. I probably wouldn't even have tried hitting him with the slugs (although you even hit him once, kudos) and instead would have looted the first body right away, but besides of that I definitely wouldn't have done it better than you. And in the end you still got *them* so I guess theres nothing really to discuss.

Persistance is a great quality in many things came across alts users on PSN (ps4-ps5) and we were newer and we got killed many times but theres a certain saying that u can have 5000 hours and even get killed by someone who as 200hours and we proved them right we were very persistent at a point that they wanted to us to join them in there "conquering the server" funny all about experiences and persistence!
Bad runs? Dude I deleted the game cause every single time I met someone I died. No one at all on ps4 tries teaming up or working together. They think its fucking cod or warzone or some shit. They are always geared and kill me as a new spawn for no reason like bitches. So I gave up. I'll watch your streams but I refuse to play that game ever again
It seems you're often replying to people who are bothered when you kill other players. But if there was no hostility between players, what would be the whole point? If everyone was teaming up, there's no threat. I've just started KOS'ing everyone unless there's server rules against it or I just don't have the firepower to do it. It's happened to me too many times when I try to be friendly, so I don't see the point. I have my group of friends I play with, no need to spit resources even further. Stirs things up on the server and makes it more fun, tbh.

I think advising him to take a different loot route(for his and your own looting benefit) is the kindest gesture, short of teaming up with the guy which you already said you weren't interested in doing.
Him not listening to the friendly guy with the gun (for whatever reason) is an indirect threat to your players longevity, I have never hit a shot against another player in DayZ but I don't feel that you should explain yourself in these situations, he knew you were armed and didn't want him to go that way and was trying to be snakey anyway.
Being an older gentleman I can safely say opinions are a lot like a$$holes. Everybody has one. Kos or not Kos, you have to do whatever it takes tur survive. BTW got the hulk reference. Very old school. -coop
play the game how you want to play it, if people dont like that you sometimes KOS, they can just watch someone else
personaly i KOS quite alot but thats just because ive had so many experiences where ive been friendly and then as soon as i turn my back ive gotten shot or stabbed or whatever, so i just have trust issues in the game.
good example was just a few days ago, i met a freshspawn, i had been gearing up for about 45 mins so i had some basic gear and a pistol and shotgun, the guy i met had nothing and was getting chased by zombies, i helped him kill the zombies, then we went in to a house and i asked him if he nedded anything, he said he was starving.
i was feeling extra nice so i gave him 2 cans of food and some apples and an extra water bottle i had found, i also gave him a makarov i had found that had a few bullets, i then helped him get a backpack and we looted together for about 5 mins, then he asked me if i could get him some sticks.
while i was cutting down a bush he pulled out the makarov i gave to him and shot me, i almoast got him back cuz i only passed out, but as soon as i started moving he put one in my head.
thats just one of the things that has happend that makes me personally KOS alot.

I played dayz a couple months ago. I got sick of it. I get that it's survival based but I'm not good at those types of games. I'm better at run and gun. And even then with my eyes, and the stigmatism I have in my eyes it's difficult to play certain games.
I wish I knew some of these lightly modded servers, I can only find ones with base building and traders, I'm just looking for nice servers where it's a little easier to find food and guns...

Yea the shotgun is OP in dayz, them slugs hit hard on vest , the 9mm would basically bounce off it until it was badly damaged then maybe make em bleed but would take a load of them from that far to kill em, you did right.

I think people may be referring to the pioneer seen at 17:21 on the guy you killed but its badly damaged is why i presume you didn't pick it up unless you actually didn't see it. Either way play the game the way you want and just ignore the backseat gamers. Keep up the great content

Heads up, that firestation in zeleno... you can't shoot out of the kitchen windows. Used to have a base there and people could shoot in but you couldn't shoot out. It's like invisible glass that stops you
dayz goes either or its either the worst game in the world or the best at times... like example i played 30 hours and a charcter just to walk out of a shed and get one tapped by a guy i couldnt see or hear in the pitch black of night wasent happy lol...
99% of people on DayZ Kos, 99% of the people who comment here Kos. They want you to risk your gear but they are unwilling to do the same.
