I've been to stores a couple of times and compared headphones such as beyer dt 770 pro, sivga, sony wh100, audeze mm100, fostex to60rp, sennheiser 620s, austrian audio. And I can say that with a good amplifier I liked the 620s better. In comparison, the 770pro sounds more restrained and smooth, while the 620s has more life above the detailed highs and mids. As for the bass, it’s there too, but it’s natural, the way it should be. Bayers are also good, but senheisers are of higher quality. They sometimes sound more neutral and balanced, with a wider stage and the effect of presence and immersion in sound is in the 620S. Of course, you need to listen to high-quality recordings and good tracks, then you won’t hear any recording noises and creaks.
I have an opposite experience with the imaging and space from the 620s. But i also have a much more expensive stack. And the magni modi stack is already not that spacious but are fine for their price. Guess the 620s just scales well with better equipment. Nice video fam!
Just got DT 770 PRO X and hated them. They got better with oratory1990 EQ but sent them back. Just ordered the 620s and love my 560s (or rather 400 hd pro). Enjoying sound is just subjective.
I have had two 770 pro x and they both had an issue where i got rumble and buzzing from the right ear cup when playing bass and some treble at normal volumes. Actually it happened on my dt 1990s too. I now have the 560s and the 660s2 and not an issue at all and i prefer sen sound signature also, even after using beyers for years.

Beyers have their signature V shaped sound which is fun but definitely not for me! I love sennheisers sound signature and if these 620s have decent bass with great midrange, then they’re definitely on my radar! But will have to wait for more reviews before buying them!
That little piece on the backside of the driver has ruined so many Sennheiser headphones for me. I think I have "average" size ears, but that piece always makes contact and after an hour or so I just can't wear them anymore. It amazes me that they haven't totally changed that by now, it gets mentioned in every review because it annoys so many wearers LOL. Thanks for the review!

It doesn’t compete basically. There was another reviewer on UA-cam that heavily criticized it but however his video got taken down without any explanation. If the 620S really is a overhyped headphone then I hope other reviewers might have a similar opinion to this. I will consider waiting for more perspectives before forming a final judgment, as more comprehensive reviews may provide further clarity on the 620S's performance and value.
Maybe you should be listening to cd quality atleast.😅It sounds to me like the sennheiser driver is showing you the quality of the sound you are listening to..
You are so right they can never get a closed back headphone tuned or done well I’m giving up on Sennheiser for closed backs their open backs are superior

Saying 'I like this one more than this one' is completely subjective and offers little value to a potential buyer, other than putting them off of something they may totally enjoy. So yes, I did watch the 'review' and my point still stands.

Angled transducers is one of the reasons I am interested in this headphone.

Problem with pleather pads is that they will eventually split/rip. Happened to my HD300 PRO. Had to pay for replacement pads.
Wish they kept the same build as HD400 Pro for weight and comfort.
