@@yanisgribissa2057Ambush is the second best use for a Crucifix tbh, the best one imo is Figure on Door 100, when he starts chasing you, giving you a chance to get away while he's stunned temporarily.
Honestly, i find it stupid that you have to go through ALL THAT EFFORT *just* to get Dread to spawn, and you don't even get an achievement for spawning it or using a crucifix on it.
I think they plan to make him actually a decent threat later on and just a easter egg for rn, still think th3r3 could've been a secret badge ngl
as of now dread is merely supposed to be a rare easter egg, you shouldn’t look so deep into it

Eyes doesn’t immediately get crucified and instead the first time he tries to damage you while holding a crucifix, his Repent sound will play instead of his attack sound and do no damage.

I like the Dupe crucification animation because the number on the fake door falls when Dupe gets crucified, and the fact you’re thrown out of the door before you see what’s happening inside is creepy because you can only hear Dupe’s screams.

Fun fact: the reason why we cannot see dupe being crucifixed it's because it was preventing us from seeing dupe's full body

you can only use Crucifixes on Canon Entities. Void and Glitch are failsafes, Void being if you're left behind, and Glitch being if something goes wrong with Room Generation
Glitch and void are technically Canon entites however it hasn't been confirmed nor denied. Closet we got was a tweet was where Redibles said he wasn't, but also confirmed by LSPLASH (presumably)
A quote from the Offical Wiki: El Goblino mentions encountering a "purple and weird" entity that might be referring to Glitch, though this will be updated to avoid inconsistency with what is canon to DOORS.[6]@@MrWerd.

“After the in-game clock reaches midnight (1 hour in-game), if Door 13 has been opened, Dread will spawn, causing player's screens to darken and exhibit a monotone tint. It will slowly chase players while remaining scarcely visible. If Dread reaches a player, it will immobilize, jumpscare, and then kill them. However, if Door 14 is opened (via a player or an entity) Dread will despawn immediately, and will not appear for the rest of the run.”

Why Guiding Light doesn't have a death message? Is it have enough or what? (Can be seen, if Seek and Figure kills player.)
If a modifier is activated, the guiding light message doesn't show up
When modifiers are on, Mischievous Light somehow "silences" GL and replace her... but they don't want to speak to player, therefore ML's death message is just one frame of red screen

I am yet to confirm this theory, but I think you can actually bring the crucifix into the backdoor sub-floor.
On my recent playthrough, I made it from the backdoor to the end with the big potion bottle you get for 100 gold after beating the subfloor. I wanted to insert the potion into the rift to preserve it (as it was the only item I had at that moment), but instead of staying in the rift, the item disappeared and created a smaller orangle-yellow glowing rift.
I think this allows you to bring a normal run item into the subfloor on your next run, which could include the crucifix. Now the question is will it work?
that one doors exploiter youtuber brought crucifixes to the backdoors and apparently some of the props in the game are ‘crucifiable’
