I have been using the free version of DaVinci for a few months now and it's amazing. Even if it looks really complicated at first just watch some tutorials and use the basic functions of it to make simple edits, then slowly start incorporating more advanced effects when you feel comfortable with the ones you know already. Also that may be a personal thing but I really like fusion. The idea of connecting nodes like building block to make your edits tickles my brain in a really nice way.
shi ur better than me when i was starting off i did use davinci but i couldnt understand fusion all that well and went to capcut ngl davinci is cool n all but capcut be havin it more simplistic and u wont have to get like individual transitions thats not on the set thats already on there like davinci bc they always updating and adding more
