So this video is really about 5 reasons why *my* scissor sweep sucks, not 5 reasons why *the* scissor sweep sucks. Good, I was afraid you were bad mouthing my favorite sweep.
@@InvisibleJiuJitsu haha I liked it once I realised you weren't dissing scissor sweep 😁. For me it's one of the best techniques in BJJ that will work all they way from white to black, a lot of people discount it as a beginners' technique. Probably because they are missing a lot of the pointers you are showing here.
I will generally bait the scissor Sweep as an entry into Ashi Garami or Single leg X... but if the bottom guy were to sweep me like you show it’s is very unlikely I would never even get close to Ashi. Great tips.
@Arturo Fernandez we used to do it in tournaments. In Japanese karate sweeping is legal. So we used it a lot. It’s not as common as it once was. And I’m not the best at it myself. But it’s a great move. I knew a lot of people that did it. But it’s a hard move to do and then you gotta strike after. Super risky too at least for me. But still karate people used it. More less for a striking opening rather.
That detail about bringing your hips in after the sweep, before the mount, is gold!~
That one is a game changer against good guys!
This is a really good scissor sweep video. Thank you.
Thank you! Thanks for watching ❤️

BEAUTIFUL! I'm going to teach my kid this way of perfecting the Scissor Sweep. Thanks

Depends on the fighter. I’ve seen it work well for karate fighters

These are Akatsuki clouds! But the collar is waaaay to short ;-)
Haha can you imagine a go with a realistic Akatsuki collar? 😂😂😂
This is something I would die to watch!
The clickbait worked 100%
😂😃
NoGi Version?
Same thing but with a collar tie and a grip of the tricep or wrist 😊
If you're top guard is that loose, you deserve to be swept.
