As a jogger I definitely agree with Noem about some dogs I run into.
I’ve never been chased by a dog. And I’ve run across the entire city of Raleigh for decades. Main roads, Back roads, everything. I was a Paid campaign runner in 2014 & 2016 elections and covered 3 counties. Never had a dog chase me! I feel neglected now! Hahahaha….. keep running!!

Putting a dog to sleep is exactly what the phrase states, so you've obviously never held your pet as it was fading away peacefully, however a puppy like the one she killed, could have been placed with a family that would have cherished it.

Now they live in town with our son and they learned to get along with his pet rabbit. He just gradually let them know that the rabbit was part of his pack. Bird dogs instinctively go after birds. Why didn’t she keep her leashed when near the chickens?

Word of interpretation - the weather in the Midwest was life threatening & home destroying. Noem did the correct things - being with her people where she may be needed.
