I think it was that Ken was always stronger actually. However, because Ken has a life ( wife, child, family company to run, etc) & Ryu's life _is_ training & fighting, Ken has slowed down and Ryu has since surpassed him

Ken has a natural talent that enables him to go for a more inventive, unpredictable fighting style, while Ryu isn't a natural, but makes up for it with his daily training, focusing on mastering the basics. That's why Ken is usually stronger gameplay-wise. At least that's how it appears to me.

forget street fighter v. this is the best street fighter game ever. graphically it's still good considering it's 2D. the music is badass, the combat is beyond fun. the game modes are insane. world tour is something I still miss about the game. they should bring it back
