Looks great - and i don't have to go and find any obscure ingredients like nagari or depleted uranium microscopic bacterial cookie pieces from Atlantis.... Cheap, easy and effective - everything a professional chef could ask for. Good yoke at the end! Nearly missed it!
Beautiful recording. So peaceful. Finally we've found the channel with no "music". The kitchen sounds are the best music ever. Thank you. Oh, and the small pottery plate is beautiful too.
These videos should be tagged as ASMR because the quality is so amazing and definitely produce the head tingle sensations! I love these! Thank you for your videos!
@JBL NYC My comment was a response to someone else's hateful remark that's since been taken down. So I see that my comment may seem like it's directed towards Audrey Lysle, but it's not. I would not insult someone because of their sense of humor lol, that'd be f***ed up.
This is by far the best recipe video I’ve seen yet. It was like using a meditation app, and it makes me want to make it right now! (Only 2 weeks vegetarian now, so arming myself with all the cuisines, and this is so quiet and beautifully made, thank you!)
0-0 OH. MY. GOODNESS. This recipe just made my life easier. I tried making chickpea tofu with chickpea flour, it was a fail (and spoiled in the fridge). But after seeing this method? Oh goodness. It's such a lifesaver in the kitchen. I absolutely applaud you for this, sir. Thank you so much for posting this. It will certainly work with canned chickpeas. I will do this first thing tonight! :D
Wow this looks so easy! I would love to see some follow up videos using this tofu as an ingrediant. I already watched ( and liked ) the muffin video using the garbanzo "paste" that is left after the liquid is pressed out. Those muffins looked wonderful:)
Wow, that's a great idea! Far less complicated than soy tofu! I love the peaceful and efficient way you share your awesome creations. Thanks for sharing!
I read your comment before the end came and I didn't think you were being serious. At the end, I said to myself "awww it's soooo Cuteee" in a whisper yelling voice
Cheers for not subjecting us to your favouring song or really annoying tinky dinky music in the background! Love your presentation, simple, clear, to the point. Thanks very much! :-)
Wow, beautiful and creative video, as always. I appreciate that you used water to get the rest of the chickpea mixture out of the blender. I do the same thing. I don't like in cooking shows when they pour a mixture and half of it is stuck to the sides of the bowl and they just throw it in the sink, wasting it. Did you make those plates too? They are gorgeous.
Maybe just try a tofu recipe, and just substitute this for the tofu :) I'm yet to make this though, so I can't be sure it will go. Seems like a simple recipe though, worth a try.
It's not for cooking in the same way as soy tofu. You won't be able to just toss it in a stirfry. Try pan-frying it by itself first, in plenty of oil. The French have a similar dish called "panisse".
bloom4mee asian people lokrs to eat soft or silken tofu as it is. no cooking. just put some tamari and toppings of your chpoice (onion leeks and pickled ginger)
Yum! Delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe. My garbanzo beans are soaking so I can make this tomorrow! I am also soaking navy beans to make Sakura Anpan tomorrow. So excited!
Aaaaaaaaaagh.....!........this channel is a breath of fresh air...........in love with everything......videos are like a meditation ........watch them over and over again......blessings to you beautiful soul and all this yumminess......
Wow! I thought using a coagulant like nigari or even white vinegar is a must when making tofu. Didn't know it could be just water and soybean. Thanks for the recipe! ❤️🌺
What sticks out to me is the three videos I've seen to make this using regular chickpeas use the straining cloth method (which I don't have), while the Wikipedia article says that after blending the soaked chickpeas with water it should be allowed to set, the liquid should mostly be skimmed off and it's the puree instead the one that should be cooked to make the tofu!
Will try this version! I usually use chickpea flour and water like I see on many videos. Good thing I have regular dried chickpeas. 😄 love how it jiggles like jello. 😄 looks yummy!
What is described in the video is the process for making a variation of what is traditionally referred to as pease pudding, or pease porridge in the British Ises and NOT tofu. Liquid containing garbanzo bean starch is extracted from garbanzo beans, or chickpeas, and then heated to thicken it. Heating the the liquid causes the starch to break down and gelatinize. The resulting paste is poured into a mold or pan and allowed to set. Split-peas, lentils, and other starchy legumes may be used to make a similar product. It can also be made with garbanzo bean flour or roasted garbanzo ban flower and has different regional names. The process for making tofu requires the use of nigari or some other coagulant.
Jerry Detres you added cinnamon sugar nutmeg and condensed milk and ruined it. No tofu is seasoned not even white soybean tofu like somebody said without salt or seasoning it will be Bland that is the point of tofu you add what you want and it takes on the flavor not even white tofu made with soybeans in Japan or at home in America has salt no salt. These things are mainly for vegans as a protein source not a sweetened condensed milk warm spiced pudding.
I just made this earlier. I used a 9×5 loaf pan for this recipe and it came out exactly the same as the videos. Gelatinous and jiggly. I'm definitely gonna do this method using soaked chickpeas and water instead of the chickpea flour and water. I'm gonna use it in some dishes I'm planning on making. Like vegan quiche 😄
Much thanks. I can't find dry Soy beans, but I can find dry Garbozo beans. I've heard tofu made peanuts that is popular in southern Japan. Also, you can whip the bean soaking juice into whipped cream type product.
That seems more like a pudding than tofu XD I wonder if you just put a bit of vanilla and sugar in the liquid before cooling then putting more sugar at the end then blowtorching the sugar: would make a vegan creme brule?
I tried it and it tastes amazing 💕😍 because when I tried to drink the oat milk it tasted different so when I was making this recipe I preferred adding sugar and vanilla essence... You can try too.. Turns out to be amazing
I suggest whilst is warm and curdy, you put caramelized brown sugar and tapioca pearls. It's a perfect go-to breakfast here in the Philippines. It's called taho.
No seasoning at all ? Perhaps a follow up demonstration how you can enhance the taste , savoury or sweet would be much welcomed . Thanks , glad there is no distracting background music
Love your videos, they're like art! This looks more like a flan similar to silken tofu in texture, but it probably doesn't hold up well when cooked. Maybe it's better as a dessert?
A nice blank slate I can add whatever flavors or spices to. I might make mine with crumbled bacon in it. Spread that on an english muffin? Mmmm, Breakfast is served.
Looks great - and i don't have to go and find any obscure ingredients like nagari or depleted uranium microscopic bacterial cookie pieces from Atlantis.... Cheap, easy and effective - everything a professional chef could ask for. Good yoke at the end! Nearly missed it!
+Logical Phallusy true.
i wich i could like this twice
Stop please..... 🤣🤣🤣
JAJAJAH This made me laugh a lot, sometimes they ask us for strange ingredients extracted from atlantis as you said
hahah
Ever heard of lemons. Works just as well as nagari ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love the silence of your recipe. Just the sounds of pouring. Today this is revolutionary.
Cinematography so soothing
Beautiful recording. So peaceful. Finally we've found the channel with no "music". The kitchen sounds are the best music ever. Thank you. Oh, and the small pottery plate is beautiful too.

He's put them in a playlist with ASMR in the title :)
yea my husband asked me if i was watching an ASMR video too lol
The joke at the end haha. You got me. I like your kind of humor.
That's not even a joke...
What an amazing remark you made. I'm truly astonished by the mere amount of brain capacity and cynical personality you seem to possess.
Audrey Lysle this is the equivalent of a man white knighting a woman
@JBL NYC My comment was a response to someone else's hateful remark that's since been taken down. So I see that my comment may seem like it's directed towards Audrey Lysle, but it's not. I would not insult someone because of their sense of humor lol, that'd be f***ed up.
i love the 'no music' versions, it's my lullaby to sleep. please make more! #goodfood #healthyfood
u actually showed the recipe rather than acting...I m in love with the simplicity of its...keep going...god bless you
Your videos are always so beautiful, like art
Agreed.
This is by far the best recipe video I’ve seen yet. It was like using a meditation app, and it makes me want to make it right now! (Only 2 weeks vegetarian now, so arming myself with all the cuisines, and this is so quiet and beautifully made, thank you!)
PS: Liked and subscribed. (I would have done it multiple times if I was able to do so.) Going to see your other work, keep it up! 😊

Love the way it looks at the end haha so soft and adorable :))))
I read your comment before the end came and I didn't think you were being serious. At the end, I said to myself "awww it's soooo Cuteee" in a whisper yelling voice
The "Nah, just kidding. I made two different sizes. lol" made me smile, thanks for another great video~ ^_^
i was not expecting the joke, i really laughed hard at it haha
Which joke?
Cheers for not subjecting us to your favouring song or really annoying tinky dinky music in the background! Love your presentation, simple, clear, to the point. Thanks very much! :-)
uau! it looks wonderful! I have tasted garbanzo tempeh.... but tofu!!!! so grateful to have found your "channel" :)
I love your videos, I have watched every single no music cooking video twice!
I was delighted enough to bump across a silent, contemplative chickpea tofu recipe, when you said 'nah, just kidding' -- won me over lol
With many thanks Its so clear and no music interrupt I really like it
Wow, beautiful and creative video, as always. I appreciate that you used water to get the rest of the chickpea mixture out of the blender. I do the same thing. some serious video production here well done man
Could you maybe do a recipe using this tofu? :)
Maybe just try a tofu recipe, and just substitute this for the tofu :) I'm yet to make this though, so I can't be sure it will go. Seems like a simple recipe though, worth a try.

I think can make it a dessert too with just maple syrup!
Thank you. I appreciate no music and no moronic commentary. Just the facts, ma'am.
Fascinating! Never considered using garbanzos before.
Thank you for NOT PLAYING MUSIC.
Very peaceful
Yum! Delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe. My garbanzo beans are soaking so I can make this tomorrow! I am also soaking navy beans to make Sakura Anpan tomorrow. So excited!
Easy peasy the way you demonstrate. Thanks for the video.
Aaaaaaaaaagh.....!........this channel is a breath of fresh air...........in love with everything......videos are like a meditation ........watch them over and over again......blessings to you beautiful soul and all this yumminess......

お団子のたれとか合いそうですね!週末作ってみます!
I'm so glad I found this channel. Like these videos are so good and relaxing, like dayumm.
This reminds me of Burmese tofu, which is made with chickpea flour. Thank for reminding me of it cos that thing tastes divine.
really love the bowl as much as the tofu. Thank you
Aah, your videos are so beautifully made! :O
So beautiful, nearly shed a tear
Yea me too. A best recipe, yeast freaks me out and this method is out of it. So appreciated.
Beautiful! It "sounds" like the movie "The great silence". Thank's for that
Thank you. You showed me what to do, and it was very pleasant to watch too.
I love the sound of the process
Thank you for (no music) and this recipe. I recomend it with melted butter.
The sound of water amidst the silence was sweeet.

love this, and that sound quality is killer
Love your efforts! I never dreamed you could make garbanzo tofu!
It is looks like delicious, and so cute ! Thank you for unique Tofu !
This movie is simple and beautiful.
Thank you for no music! This is easy and awesome, also nutritious!
Wow! I thought using a coagulant like nigari or even white vinegar is a must when making tofu. Didn't know it could be just water and soybean. Thanks for the recipe! ❤️🌺
It's not soy beans it's chick peas. 👍👌🙏
I've tried chickpea miso and its fantastic so Im excited to try the tofu
Thanks so much for sharing this! I've been looking for a way to make this without flour!!

LOL the ending. The small size is cute ^^
I will definitely make this, looks so good.
I've made this in soya beans years ago. Thank you for sharing the possiblity of using garbanzos instrad..
I would love to know how the vegan quiche with this bean tofu came out
As a person with thyroid problems and can’t eat soy.
Thank you so mucchhh
This recipe looks so easy! I would like to try someday!
Much thanks. I can't find dry Soy beans, but I can find dry Garbozo beans. I've heard tofu made peanuts that is popular in southern Japan. Also, you can whip the bean soaking juice into whipped cream type product.

Aha I loved that April Fools joke :D! Your videos are so beautiful and mesmerizing! I could watch for hours ^_^.
Beauty! A pleasure to watch.
The aspect and the cooking actually make it more like a custard. But still, it's amazing. Would taste great with sweet flavours.
THANK YOU! finally a ...peaceful kitchen ;) thank you thank you thank you
That seems more like a pudding than tofu XD
I wonder if you just put a bit of vanilla and sugar in the liquid before cooling then putting more sugar at the end then blowtorching the sugar: would make a vegan creme brule?
Kuya Leinad yes, and maybe use alittle almond or coconut milk instead of just water

😌 peaceful😌 lovely 🌹🙏
I was waiting for him to drizzle some sauce in the tofu 😍😍but it's alright, fresh tofu does not need any sauce to taste good
