It was nice to see Tribute Park, the neighborhood, Rockaway Park, and Rockaway Beach. The beach stretches far, and it's much cleaner than Coney Island. 👍 44:15 Wow, you mumbled your thoughts about the beach in this short insert. 😂 I read on the park's website that the work of this construction is to "protect the community from the effects of severe storms, slow down erosion caused by climate change, and ultimately expand beach access." It's all for improvement and future enjoyment. 😎 Thank you for sharing this stroll, AK! 🤗
6:17Jamaica Bay looks beautiful 10:04 lots of nice looking restaurants , cafes etc along your walk 😎 16:29 Beutiful Memorial 18:23 Closed beach not good at all😕 24:21 Although we get to see the beach even a little which is great😎Thank you for sharing this opportunity to see the Rockaway Park despite the signicant changes A K🙂👍!!!
Thanks for the video AK! It was too sad to see all those shops closed up and the some of the beach area 😢 It was very windy there! A tropical storm with no rain The video starts at 44:13 😂😅
I'm glad you enjoyed your walk in Rockaway Park B 116th Street once you got off the subway train and went to Rockaway Beach with that it's in Queens ActionKid!🤩 And Jamaica Bay is glorious!😍 Thanks for that review AK!😎🤗
Nice Actionkid. My mom Emily used to work at the post office on 11325 Beach Channel Drive Rockaway Park NY 11694. There used to be a nice Chinese Restaurant next to the post office that I’ve been to which was owned by David until he sold his business to a new owner. There used to Dr. John Shure dentist on Rockaway Beach Boulevard until he retired and sold to a new person. I have been to that dentist. Will be coming back here soon to visit my mom’s friend who lives nearby in the area that you explored in this video.
I used to go to beach 105 as a kid. What happened to the boardwalk? I think that caracas used to be a pizza place or close to it. It looks so different.
I bought a house in Bayswater area of Far Rockaway and in 2012 Hurricane Sandy came in and destroyed most of the boardwalk and cause a lot of destruction but to the cities merit and Federal help the Rockaway beaches/Boardwalk was rebuilt better then ever and is more resilient now. No more wood boardwalk planks to splinter and rot away. I often ride my bike from the East end of the ROckaways to Riis Park then over Gill Hodges Bridge AKA "Marine Park bridge" to the Belt trails and back. About 27 miles round trip. Its a nice place to live and is a far cry from what many think it is. Many people think its a Ghetto and unsafe and crime ridden. I've lived here now for 20 years not one issue. No homes broken into in my area, no cars stolen, I ve never been mugged or robbed etc.
Rockaway Beach is about 10 miles long and by far most of it is open. Just not the bit that AK visited. (I go there regularly but use the ferry which is far nicer than the subway). There was a day where shark sightings closed the beaches for a day.
Didn't you once ride your bike there with that Italian girl UA-camr? What was her name? Something Mary Jane? I think you rode there on a bike with no gears or something? Or maybe that was in Manhattan?
Thank you so much for making these awesome videos!

Hopefully the beach can be improved. There's so much potential in the Rockaways.

Much appreciated, it was nice to see Rockaway Park again. There have been so many changes here.
My favorite beaches are in Southwest Florida where I used to live. Although, great to see this beach as well.
Perfect

The ActionKid is saddened to see so much of Rockaway Beach ⛱️ closed. The beach made famous by The Ramones song. 🐼

Great video
Greatest 2 block area in the city if you ask me!!!
I really liked Ciro's Pizza also. Ciro's had been around since the 70's.

I see!
Reminds me of Staten Island
Good
I went to Beach channel high school which is on 100th but on the Bay side. I don’t think it’s called beach channel anymore.
It’s call that but it has 3 different schools in it now

We were just in NYC less than 2 weeks ago and I’m glad we didn’t go here. That would have sucked with the construction.

Walk around nearby JFK Airport..........
