I played one at store on King Street on Oahu. Incredible for $330! Like a 000-18 that I could never afford or touch by the proprietors guidance. Wonderful guitar. Stick a K&K pickup in you’re good to go!
Love this guitar - bought myself an E8OM 2 years ago and since then it is my main acoustic guitar; my 000-18 and my J45 are a bit jealous... but so what! Thank you for making this/these video(s) - there ain't much content for this exact model and it might help many future buyers! Since I can't really afford a 000-28, this guitar might be the closest I will be ever willing to spend... And for any "doubters": You'll never get the feeling, that you are holding "only" a chinese instrument! In fact this guitar did change my view of instruments from far east... martin couldn't have done it a modicum better!!! Greetings from Hamburg, Germany & sorry for my bad english Philip :-)
I have both 000 and OM. It really sounds just like my OM 28, for a fraction price.. If it is a short scale, I believe that makes it a 000 . Now days a lot of 000 guitars have 14 frets, but the space between frets is less. It makes short fingers go farther. It puts the bridge in a different spot, they usually sound more open and the top is excited more easily, with a lighter touch. You get less tension, easy to bend notes. Your fret hand is closer to your body and the comfort is astounding. An OM has the same comfortable body as a OOO, but has the scale length of a dreadnought. You can drive it harder with a pick, so it can keep up with bigger guitars. An Om is great for people that play all different styles, a pick one minute and fingerstyle the next. If your a dreadnought flat picker and your shoulder and back hurts, the logical choice is to sit down and try an OM.
Hi, I've just ordered a eastman e8om-tc but the headstock has a satin finish and not glossed like this one. Is there a reason why some aren't gloss finished? Thanks
To people complaining about the playing, sorry he's not playing blues licks. Excellent demo.
Nice, thanks. Looking for an OM with solid rosewood back and sides. These Eastmans keep coming up. That E8 sounds great.

I really enjoy your videos! I come for the guitar and stay for the comedy. :-)

Wow, what a sound! I recently got myself a DT30D, but this one here makes me want to buy another Eastman...
We have a great in-house financing plan, if that would help. This one won't last long!
It really baffles me how little attention Eastman gets as a company. Such a beautiful guitar

You're an entertaining fellow.....keep the videos coming.....
I almost fell out of my chair laughing! He is so funny!! And a good guitarist!

Great
could you do a comparison of E8om tc and e20omtc ..it does not exist here in youtube :)
Basically, the E8 is somewhat softer/sweeter sounding! The E20 is more brash, but it evens out a bit when the adirondack top opens up

Love the guitar but terrible humor. Just annoying. Can we hear the guitar
REDO THIS VID AND ACTUALLY PLAY THE GUITAR
Tip 1 point mics at the guitar. Tip 2 hire somebody that plays the guitar.
