Thank you, everyone! I'm trying my best to get a video out every Friday. I just need to plan more and optimize my time better. I hope you enjoy the video we just recorded, Grampy VS, which we did live on Twitch. We're also planning the next Road to Rank 1. Stick around-I have a lot of content I want to create, I just need to find the time.
Aww thank you bro, I'm really trying my best out here, trying to take everything I learn for you! Also all the background stuff is in my discord free for the good people to use.
Well, the Japanese and North American arcade and Neo Geo versions include all of the stages and vocal songs, but the "exported" version is quite lacking in the presentation department. Also, I modded the PS2 version to include instrumentals from the Japanese version of Gran Turismo just in case players are bothered by the vocal soundtrack of the original game. Not to mention I gave Sissy's stage a replacement theme of "Keep In Gates" from Guilty Gear XX Slash. If you have a modded PS2 that can run backup discs or digital game data via Open PS2 Loader, then you can give my mix a shot.
I need to learn to learn the lyrics for this game. I like the song with the sad lady in the background and the metal song, but I just don't know what they are saying.
I really don’t know if Bobby Strong would be “problematic” given he follows Bobby Ologun’s actual schtick. I mean, not a fan of the self deprecating ethnic humor but there’s way worse.
I don’t think it's problematic, but in today’s times, you give an inch, and they’ll take a mile, calling everything problematic. That’s why I love growing up in the '80s and '90s. I agree, things have been way worse throughout history, but like most history, people either don’t know or choose to forget about it. Power Instinct Matrimelee is a game, a fun one, and that’s what I really want to showcase the unknown or forgotten games of the genre.
I first discovered this game years ago through OnTaMaRaMa, which was a DS Rhythm game also by Noise Factory and Atlus. "Let's Go! Onmyouji" is one of the included songs, and I ended up discovering that it's become a meme on the Japanese internet.
Rhythm games, now we're talking! Rhythm games are my secret love. I just looked up the 'Let's Go! Onmyouji' song-it's one of my favorite song in Matrimlee games
i love this series, even groove on fight, most people really don't like this last one, but i like the combination between the darkness of their world and the goofiness of the characters, pretty underrated games imo. great video btw!!!
Yeah, I owe it to all the good people here. I still have room to grow, and I'm working on the next 'Most Known Unknown' a 500 sub special. Thank you for giving me a chance.
This hame is so fun, I have it on my Neo Geo Emulator. Great Characters, Art Style, Dope Backgrounds and Soundtrack Bangs too. I'm surprised it didn't get more exposure because it is a treat to play. ❤
Bob Sapp as a final boss would be wild! 90% of the screen filled by this muscle mountain, with his only attack being a jab that takes up the other 10% of the screen. Lol! I've been watching MMA for so long, I'm about to watch some Bobby Ologun in K-1 now.
The thing about Bobby is that he's based on a real person. If someone calls him "problematic", they'd be calling a real black man "problematic" just by looking like himself.
Agree, I love it. He's a cool dude; I've watched five of his fights and some of his TV show 'Why Did You Come to Japan?' But you know how people today are in a no-fun zone. Oh yeah, thank you for watching the video.
Ologun is both a fighter and a comedian, they wont think he is problematic, just his character. Not me, though. I lean fairly progressive but this is far far far from actual bigotry disguised as humor.
I definitely see the ROD influence here, and having not played it myself, I do feel like it would probably handle more like that title than anything else. There's a lot about the engine that pulls me to that.
Yes, the moment I saw it, I was thinking of ROD, and then I found out both games were developed by Noise Factory. I really enjoy this game. ROD is getting a release (awesome!), but we can't get these games in a collection pack or something. Time to show them my Jedi meditation.
I never playd this game but it looks very interesting hopefully I get to play it someday some these for gotten fighting games need to be Rom hackt on other old consoles
@@michaelgarcia5493 3DO, that's madness-putting Tomb Raider on a 3DO! But I also think that's awesome! I'd love to see someone put this game on an N64. If they could put Resident Evil 2 on the N64, anything is possible.
senzo kuyou, the last game that came after these is seen as the peak. also its considered number 5 in the series. gaiden/legends and bonnou kaihou arent considered main titles
Thank you for watching the video. One of these days, I will play Senzo Kuyou. When I mentioned the number of games, I was referring to the installments, not the canon timeline. I know P.I. has two side games and a shoot 'em up-style game. I'll make it clearer next time.
Yes, I was referring to installments in the game, not the canon timeline. I know P.I. has 2 side games, but with my small brain, it was just a way to explain it. I thought I did mention installments, though.
Little kids are like unstoppable tornadoes. They can't stop, won't stop, and there's no room for forgiveness. They'll spam the same words and moves until you give in. She's the perfect storm.
You're right, I don’t know why I didn’t realize it sooner. I guess it’s my amateur side showing. I try to do everything in one take, and being a father of four, I only have so much time to make this happen.
Strong was designed after Bobby Ologun. Not Sapp. He actually voiced and gave his likeness to the character, which is why there’s live action stuff there.
Yeah, I think we talked about this. I was referencing when Macho Man Randy Savage made a rap album named Be a Man, with a song called 'Be a Man, Hogan.' I was hoping it would be like that, but with 'Be a Man, Sapp

My favorite in the series will always be "Groove on fight".
We need a collection!
I agree. I just played Groove on Fight last night at work during happy hour. We need a collector editor.
It is a shame that it doesn't have a collection.
I think we need to voice what we want, and make a pie chart that shows how many want this and don't want this
The final Power Instinct title is even better than this one! But, sadly, hard to find and emulate. I think Fightcade finally supports it, though.
I guess it time to find some files and Fightcade this bad boy.
I absolutley love your background! I love your channel. I learn about so many fighting games I've never heard of. I appreciate it so much!

Your a mad scientist and I like your style I need to get on your level.
Matrimelee's soundtrack is an all time great. Where else are you gonna hear a song about overclocking your CPU? 😅
I need to learn to learn the lyrics for this game. I like the song with the sad lady in the background and the metal song, but I just don't know what they are saying.
Did you know Grampy, your like my 100th Favorite person out of 100.
Who's in the 99th spot? I'm coming for their spot!

I completely agree with everything you're saying. I would 100% buy a Power Instinct collection.
always did mistake Bobby Strong to be inspired from Bob Sapp
but it was based off on Bobby Ologun 😁

awesome video bruh, subbed!
the part where u did bobby strong's voice killed me lul 🤣
Hey, thank you. I'm at work, and this just made my day. I'm trying to have fun. If you can't have fun, then why try?

Thank you for watching, I'm trying my best, and seeing this keeps me motivated, I want to earn my subscribers

Hell Yeah, That's the plan: to get people to try games that have been overlooked or region-locked. I hope this game gets some Retro Achievements soon!
@@GrampyTV ya I could see this game on the n64 as well i mean I have seen some one port Tombe raider on the 3DO wich is a old console.

Is the art by Range Murata???
Yes, I have to say you know your Japanese illustrators. You have an awesome mind and eyes Richard The Gallerist
That story mode looked weird asf but fun? Idk lol
It sure is, but that Power Instinct, crazy, and off beat; but its awesome
that bobby guy did age horribly but not in the way you expect
he was based on bobb sapp who is a terrible fighter apparently
he has a rap song too
