Welcome to the Grimdark Dave! I am sure you'll love it! 👍💙💛💙 Also I almost choked on my coffee when I saw my board thumbnail at 1:11 ! Also I think you mentioned that you only have 500 gc to spend, if you're playing Marienburgers then you get 100 gc more to spend so 600 gc all in all! Get those helmets! 👍🤣
Please keep the Mordheim content coming. This game is from an era of GW that is gone. It was horrific, it was silly, it was unnecessarily random, and it encouraged kitbashing as a huge part of the game. And on top of all that it delivered an astonishingly fun play experience for anyone willing to show up not to win or table their opponent, but showed up to have a game and spend time with friends or make new ones. I still have most of my original Mordheim box contents that I bought the week it came out. I’ve played off and on since the game was new and been through multiple campaigns. In all that time I’ve never had a negative experience with this game.
Very excited you're jumping into Mordheim, Dave! It's hands down my favorite game and you couldn't find a better guide for the journey than @miscast. If you really enjoy it, you should try to come to the New England Mordheim Open next May. We had almost 100 players and 50 custom boards this year. It would be awesome to see you there.
I would love to see more about Mordheim! Always searching for a nice game to play with my boyfriend ❤🔥 your warband looks epic, please paint them! Nice haircut 😉
Just FYI Dave, the henchmen don't need to be equipped the same if they're in different henchmen groups (And they should be split into groups consisting of single dudes)
i dont think i ever even had any henchman when i played. i thought of it as you have to play for a while before you can afford them. and that it should start of being mainly just "hero" characters who cant afford to pay fighters to work for them.
A fantastic STL company is MMF's VaeVictisMiniatures, wonderful sculpts. I use them for Pathfinder myself but they ooze charm and they're great for making personal armies without getting into expensive GW OOP stuff. This video is fantastic to see TTT, and looking sharp Dave.
Hahaha, that naive and happy youngblood is amazing. Our group always try to run WYSIWYG, except for armour and misc equipment - we buy that later. In addition there is some flexibility between a two-handed axe and a halberd as an example. It is about having fun!
as someone getting into mordheim for the first time i love this video series. you and trent both are showing two very different approaches to creating a warband and how they both work :) best of luck at pax 💪🏽
This system looks like a lot of fun! I'm excited to see what has Trent so hyped about it! I hope to see more videos on them in the future, painting them up and telling their stories! Also, the haircut really looks great, Dave, and holy god, your hair is thick!!
I used the Manaan's Blades Command, mixed with the AoS Cities of Sigmar character set to make a Pirates crew. Like the Field Surgeon as Ships Doc, armed with sword, dagger, and throwing knives. The Manaan's musician is one of the Mates, in this case a Bosun. Lovely to see the old and new models working together to sell a theme.
Great stuff, I am currently half way through building my first mordheim table and I finished binding a custom a5 rulebook today. Those forgeworld models are fantastic.
I ised some of those models for my Hochland merc band, very cool. I also used the long rifle for a bounty hunter you can add to your warband the Hochland Huntsman
Stumbled across your website. Love Mordheim. Love the links to making your own style of models. Great way to start my day war gaming. Thanks so much for posting this.
Mordheim IS THE BEST GAME!!! The trick is no one gets armour to start, MAYBE the leader but I used to let em earn it. Henchmen don't get squat, sword or axe or whatever Yea I wanna see you paint it
That and a healthy dose of community support and a big patron influx making us feel loved and slightly less like we are about to lose our jobs. It all helps immensely
Love that your getting into Mordheim... I played it back in the day and have been making new warbands lately even tho I haven't anyone to play with currently in Sydney. One thing I can suggest you can put your henchmen into groups of one so you have more chances to upgrade to heroes but also can give them all different weapons as you model them.
i remember when this came out, after i'd been into 40k for a few years, and been used to just picking pre existing models were you essentially have very little to no creative options beside maybe picking a painting scheme, and a few weapon options. it was so much fun to just look around the warhammer models i hadnt really looked at at all, and pick out whatever i wanted to make my own group of fighters and make my own characters
Great-looking warband! Welcome to Mordheim. I love the game, and been playing it since its original release. We still play fairly regularly, although for years we have generally played collaborative scenarios, as bad things can happen when my wife and I play competitive war games :( (although at least we have a more comfy couch now). Traditionally, when we start a new warband or group of warbands we run the "Escape from Mordheim" scenario, written many long years ago by my brother Jim. You can still find it on teh internets with a search. It also works well as a solo scenario. Enjoy! Great game all around. -Michael P.S. Today a friend and I test-drove a Savage Worlds/Deadlands skirmish game we knocked together, which is very much structured on Mordheim. Can't keep a great game down, even if you don't support it!
I've always thought games like this where great, and if I ever start a band for myself I think magnetizing the arms and heads if the mini's would be a fun way to be able to upgrade them and change them over the course of the champaine and when your done you can strip them down to basic to use for new ones.
Last time I saw Dave with that Haircut, was the first time Jazza introduced us to him 😂 great video Mordhime is one of those games I wish I knew about when I was younger but am happy I'm learning about it now
Model selection looks great. Hope you have a blast. You'll be building broken, burned, and delapedated houses and collapsed bell towers before you know it.
I think Mordheim campaign, necromunder campaign, or bloodbowl league between all of you is the studio would be a lot of fun. It would be cheap to record and would be a fun ongoing story like the RPG's are
If I remember, back in the day Marienburg as a faction got a bonus of an additional 100 gold pieces to represent their wealth, while the other Empire factions got bonuses in combat. I that no longer the case? Probably still wouldn't be enough to buy all that armor, but it might help a little.

@@ericlee2537 Thank you so much! Working on it! 👍💙💛💙
I told the editor to "find an awesome example of Mordhiem looking sweet" so there you go! The pick of google image search
@@TabletopTime Nice. As a fellow one-person content creator, it would have been nice, dare I say curtious, with any mention or credit in ANY way! 👍
Miscast and Tabletop time collabing is like my avenger's endgame. 2 of my favorite miniature youtubers - this is awesome!
That cut is lookin tight!

SHORT HAIR DAVE! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! ITS SHORT HAIR DAVE!
Looks great man, and models look amazing as well
Mordheim looks cool, really enjoying Trents videos and loving Dave getting involved. Be cool to see what Jen and Murray would do as well.

the Birdmen of Catrazza!!! oh no, dave will cry if that model looses any limbs. Also hair cut looking good
Hair cut looks great Dave, I would love to see more of you and Trent kitbashing and playing the game.
Hell yeah! Bring me back to 1999! This game was amazing! I’m building my new Witch Hunter Warband right now!
Just FYI Dave, the henchmen don't need to be equipped the same if they're in different henchmen groups (And they should be split into groups consisting of single dudes)

This game is so well loved by many
Nice haircut Dave! I bet it feels strange to have shorter hairs again. Cheers!

I have very fond memories of playing this back when it was released. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
Love the hair cut
Looking forward to seeing them painted up, how you enjoy the game, and myabe in the future seeing jen and Murry joining in.
Love fantasy miniatures and the personal touch to the warband! Painting video and maybe even a recap of your practice games pls!
as someone getting into mordheim for the first time i love this video series. you and trent both are showing two very different approaches to creating a warband and how they both work :) best of luck at pax 💪🏽
love the collab, Trent is one of the most exiting creators on the platform ! keep it up, cannot wait to see them painted !

Very smooth, Dave. A palpable sense of joy coming across. So nice😊

Absolutely want to see this become a long thing between you two. Having the characters progress and grow would be awesome to see.
Great looking warband! Can't wait to see how you paint them.
I've been excitedly waiting for this video ever since miscast called you out. Hell yeah Mordheim!!
Can't wait to see more on those guys, really looking forward to you painting them :)
Looks like a great team, hope you do well. Can't wait to see them painted.
Love the collab with Miscast !
Dave love the energy and love that watching this has put me at my closest to ever buying a GW box of sprue
I adore Mordheim. Haven't played in many years, but it was the most fun I ever had building models and playing a mini wargame
Henchmen don't get squat, sword or axe or whatever
Yea I wanna see you paint it
YES!! More Mordheim!! I want to see the painting, the characters, the history, the lore, and of course... the battle report...
Did that trip to Norway refresh ya? Really a spring in your step!! Awesome to see you guys be able to breathe and get back to the creativity.
That and a healthy dose of community support and a big patron influx making us feel loved and slightly less like we are about to lose our jobs. It all helps immensely
You have so many bits and advanced Hero Forge skills, should be easy to make a Birdman on foot model for the start of your campaign.
Love the old forge world, and you turned it all into a very Mordhiem warband
Heck yeah your warband looks so cool! I'd love to see how you paint it. :D
Love the haircut, lookin good

Loving the past few videos. Really turning this around! 🎉
I'm so happy to see my 2 favourite hobby channels collab, hyped to see more

Those Squires are seriously the MOST historically accurate. 😆 Awesome pieces, looking forward to hearing about the match!!!
This was such a fun wee video, i really smiled at the excitment for Dave playing Mordhiem, and glad he got himself a haircut, go haircut!
Mordheim was always top-tier IMO. More of this plz :P
Haircut on fleek of course.
Mordheim is great!
Wait! What? Haircut? And Trent? This video is full of surprises :) Looking forward to following this little storyline :)

Fantastic video, Dave! Just taking my first step into Mordheim too, so very inspiring!
I'm so excited you got into Mordheim! You are gona love it! It's not the best but it's the best 😄
If there was two like buttons I would click them. One for Mordeheim getting some attention and the other for the hair cut. Looking dapper sir!

Mordheim is such a great setting. I'm really hoping these get painted up on a video.
Last time I saw Dave with that Haircut, was the first time Jazza introduced us to him 😂 great video Mordhime is one of those games I wish I knew about when I was younger but am happy I'm learning about it now

Love the hair man. Looks awesome
Model selection looks great. Hope you have a blast. You'll be building broken, burned, and delapedated houses and collapsed bell towers before you know it.
Hell yeah brother!
Love the creativity the excess coffee has unleashed.
I think Mordheim campaign, necromunder campaign, or bloodbowl league between all of you is the studio would be a lot of fun. It would be cheap to record and would be a fun ongoing story like the RPG's are
Love the hair cut. Looking good!
I’ve played Mordhiem on table top simulator, it’s something I’ll have to sink more time into to really get into but it’s definitely fun!
I've always wanted to get into Mordheim, Its so thematic. Alas I don't know anyone else locally who'd be interested.
new hairstyle goes hard
Definitely want to see a painting video!
Me with 16 minutes and 39 seconds left in the video having seen Mordheim in the thumbnail: 👍
This looks rad - Collab Batrep w Miscast please
would love to see more Mordheim, and good luck in your game.
If I remember, back in the day Marienburg as a faction got a bonus of an additional 100 gold pieces to represent their wealth, while the other Empire factions got bonuses in combat. I that no longer the case? Probably still wouldn't be enough to buy all that armor, but it might help a little.
It is the case yes, I'll have 600 crowns
This rules! Minis look fantastic.
Great video - great haircut. Win win!
PS. excited to see how these turn out
Holy smokes check out that new trim (also yay Tabletop Time)
Loving this crossover/callout lol 😂
So good. The enthusiasm has rubbed off on me.
More Mordheim! I need to see these awesome lads painted up!
You are a heroforge WIZARD. I'd love to see more insane shit like that awesome walking skeleton pirate ship from a couple months back.
Can't wait to see you paint this band of merry fellas!
I love all Tabletop Time videos!
