A book i recommend to every one and think every single person should read because its just such a great book is Swan Song by Robert McCammon Hope you take a chance to read it =D
I was always anti bullet journal because it felt like too much. Mood trackers, ten million habit trackers, documenting things that make me go "WHY?", like tracking episode of a show they are binge watching, all that damn calligraphy (not my thing) etc. But yesterday I was trying to set up my planner for March and kept getting annoyed by having to alter it to such a point to fit my needs (and still end up not having what I want together in the same place) that I might as well just make my own spreads. Digital planning was the same, just never seemed to fit my needs. This really did inspire me. Stupid, I know, I should have known that the whole point of it is to make it fit me and my needs. But this felt real. You fucked up and you showed that on camera while it often feels like people do these perfect spreads and whenever. I did spreads for readathons (on loose leaf paper to go in binders with other crap) I'd waste a ton of paper in my quest to get a perfect spread like the ones I was seeing everywhere. This has enough colour and such to be of interest but it doesn't make me feel like "Oh hell no, I don't have that skill or time". It is not exactly how I would do it, but it really makes me want to get out this pretty little dotted notebook I had forever and all the pens and markers I already have for language learning and colouring (plus the cheap washi I can never resist) and make some spreads for my self care habits, language learning, readathons, to do/goal lists and tracking progress in my memrise flashcards without going for damn perfection. Good luck. I hate hate HATE the dentist. I'm off to set up my personalised bullet journal :) PS: It feels good to be able to swear in a comment. I usually hold back so I won't get told off but since you swear in your vids, I thought it was okay.
Oh my gosh, I just love your videos so much. You are so real and funny. I had a bad day today, and your humor picked me right up! I am a great gardener, but man do I suck at consistently teaching myself to paint. I love it when I do it, but I get in my own way when I have free time for it.
Needlework. Hand embroidery. Like handwriting, it takes muscle memory to perfect your stitches. So far I’m great at making a mess. I do not enjoy practicing my stitches. I’d much rather practice my handwriting. Your book is ordered and supposed to be delivered on 3/11. I’m so excited. Thanks for the monthly updates...it helps to work on my journals with you, and several other planner influencers.💕👍🏼
I was feeling like crap today too. Down with the flu, but this made me laugh.. needed that. Love the realness of your bloopers and colorful language !! 😂😂
Hi Cindy 👋 Banjo is my hobby that I want to be good at, eventually. I had a good start, but it went downhill when I broke my arm a couple of years ago. I just haven’t made time for it, so it sits in the corner taunting me. I may put it under the bed until I feel like picking it up again. Someday, though, I will be a real banjo player. 😊
Knitting is something I keep sucking at but I'd like to get better with. I really lack patience and the need for warm clothing but I keep going back to it. It's like I need to master it because I hate the thought that "I cant do it". And it taunts me lol. Because you need more books? I think you'd love Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. It's especially delightful on audiobook, narrated by the author. Absolutely my favorite.
My two tips for you (from a fellow plant serial killer) are: A) line the bottom of each pot with hydroponic clay balls (pretty cheap at Ikea) for good drainage and then they give off the water they've absorbed when the soil needs it B) Pothos plants. Jade Pothos. Golden Pothos. Marble Queen Pothos. Any Pothos! They're vibrant, gorgeous, vining, and the only plant I've never come close to killing. Good luck! P. S. Consider putting a link in the description to your Goodreads?
I second pothos! Also, Dracaena and mother in law tongue/snakes tongue (lost the cards with the REAL name) have also done well for me. I have regular attrition but those have lasted the longest!
Jewelry Making is something that appeals to me but every time I try it, I get so frustrated with it lol. I think it’s the holding the small stuff, my hands shake but I can do crochet.. so whatever works lol.
I'm all about lack of precision, but I'm still pretty sure my lettering doesn't look as nice as yours. You have gorgeous handwriting. I love that you make mistakes and leave them in. Real life journaling!!
Another amazing video! I love plants. My heart hobbies.... piano playing. As a child, I took 10 years of Classical piano lessons. I SUCK playing now! I wish I had kept up my playing. Have fun in Chi Town. Blessings for next week with your surgeries next week. ❤️
Had the same problem, played the piano for 13 years, stopped after school ended and I recently just started practicing again after a 10 year break. And surprise surprise: I slowly start getting better. Small steps...
Same here. I took lessons from 8-16 but started having issues with my wrists and hands and had to stop. I was devastated and haven't played much since. I did teach from 12-21 so that helped a bit, but man do I miss it 😢
Not too crush your green thumb; but you’re setting yourself up for failiure growing veggies in a small window box. Try planting them in larger heavier pots that set on the ground or on a patio. Water them regularly (tomatoes need a lot of water when they start producing tomatoes) and stake them as they grow & get heavier. Herbs maybe in the planter box but I still like to plant them in medium sized pots, grouping them together. Have fun..can’t wsit it to see your progress! You & Mr. Greenjeans (clearly I am old enough to be your gran!!)
I'm watching this very late but, OMG. i just found the Pantene Fortifying Damage Repair Overnight Repair serum and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT! I literally was about to cry about how dry my hair was and how brittle and then I found it. I have shoulder-length hair and I only need one little pump of it. It is amazing! I used two pumps the first time with dry hair and the next day my hair was a bit oily. But the second time I used it after washing my hair and just one tiny pump. And WOW. Just two uses and my hair feels amazing. I love that I can leave it on and literally sleep as it works. Totally recommend you check it out. I do have curly hair and my curls look great but not freezy. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
currently reading: the butchering art: joseph listers quest to transform the grisly world of victorian medicine by Lindsey Fitzharris AND the trivium: the liberal arts of logic, grammar and rhetoric by sister miriam joseph. I will be adding you to my Goodreads by end of day lol
Your bullet journal makes me feel so good about myself. Not that yours is shitty or anything but because I am not that much of a creative person but I try sometimes so it ends up being like yours (meaning it has nice titles and sometimes a little washi or sth but not much more). when all the other youtubers make me feel so depressed because my bullet journal is more efficient than pretty
You cant murder mint or thyme. They overgrow if you dont contain them and get everywhere. Some people consider them to be nuisance plants. I happen to love them because they come back every year in my raised planter.
i've been trying to get through Dune for literal years. my dad LOVED the dune books but I always fell asleep reading them. I've finally made progress on the first one, so I'll be sure to leave my thoughts somewhere!
Yarn spinning, with a drop spindle. I tried for a year to get it to work, because it looks so calming and then you get yarn. I got. Short pieces of fluff. It takes too long coordination, I guess. I have a really quick and dirty lettering trick - I write the title in light marker or Mildliner, in manuscript or cursive, and then I use a black fineliner to write in the same style over it, so it looks like I outlined the black writing with the marker. It takes no time, but it pops.
Dont give up on the spindle. It will be crap and that's ok as long as you keep at it, while watching tv or other stuff because you dont have to eyeball it while you do it. But I agree its calm and soothing. I need a new spindle.
@@SoFarmish I have coordination issues. And I tried it for about a year, getting lessons from every spinner I could find. I used the air, I used my leg and nothing worked for me. If I get access to a wheel, I'll try that.
I suck at trying to grow indoor plants. I don't have any place to actually put them that they could get enough sun. I know I could probably do zucks...but I have to admit, they don't really appeal to me or the style of decorating in my house.
Also: sketching. That's my habit I've tried. I have picked up sketching like 5 times. I have bought art courses from Udemy. And I just. Freaking. Can't. Stick to it.
I don’t know about outside but for indoor spend $60 and get a soil moisture meter , hygrometer, small humidifier and you won’t gave issues anymore promise you
Speaking of books, can I self promo on you 😂 I write fantasy and I finally got my shit published like right before Christmas. It's called Sable's Journey and it's on amazon.
