For me, ankle bug bites are usually from chiggers! They are little bugs that live in grass (usually taller grass, but they can sometimes be found in residential lawns). You can spray a little bug repellent on your ankles to deter them if you know you're going to be walking on grass.

I don't think it's chiggers because I haven't been out in the grass at all (I'm like the least outdoorsy person I know 😅) and they're not red like chiggers typically are, but I think it's something related based on the type of bites. I have, luckily, located the source and started the process of dealing with them, so things are looking up!
