My camera was set up on wifi then moved to another location that doesn't have wifi. I want to check the recording from my phone when standing near it without having to remove the sd card. Is that possible?

Nope. You'll still need wifi for the camera to connect with your phone.
You could set up the camera with your phone hotspot. Then just enable the hotspot when you are near the camera and you will be able to view the clips

@RCCT77 your phone hotspot is probably on 5ghz. Switch to 2.4ghz
There should be an option to 'maximize compatibility' or 'extend compatibility' in your hotspot settings, depending on your operating system. Turn that on

My Wyze camera has an sd card and I’ve formatted it in the app numerous times but it still won’t record continuous. I scroll to playback and it shows nothing is there. I can see live and it will show some motion events but the card always says 14.25g of 14.81 Not impressed with these cameras

what if you dont have a wifi network can it be setup and configured with a cellphone hot spot????

@digitalbilly yeah you can. But you'll have to enable hotspot on a second phone, if you are usung your phone for setting up.
Also you'll need to have that particular hotspot turned on whenever you want to sync your wyze camera to your app

@@blinqblinqtech I figured it out. I’m on iPhone. So setup by turning on your hotspot. Create the QR code manually use the same SSID and password (because the hotspot ssid will not automatically show up)you configured for your hotspot and it just works. To use just turn on hotspot wait for iPhone to show 1 connection open the app and good to go. No need for second phone!!!!

No you will need wifi for that.
You could use a microsd card to store recorded clips and then view it on your pc. But that's still not live footage
