    Would be so bad ass if they released these figures like the retro line. Street fighter too!

      That would be cool to have them released again!

    I had these toys when I was in Kindergarten lol I had no idea what Mortal Combat was but I loved Ninjas. I even had the Goro figure I remember we got it at a yard sale for a nickel. I didn't realize what it was but he was always what stood in for a Rankor in Jabas palace

    The bigger Sonya is from a company called Toy Island. They had the rights to the molds. But they didn't make GI Joe sized sculpts. Not sure why.

    I had all these black rubber band hips & shoulder sockets figures back in 94' with the felt vests but I remember Reptile was a bonus figure that came only with the big boat with missiles toy & looked the same mold as the Scorpion & Subzero except green obviously then I bought Smoke when he came out because I figured since he was the newest figure & the rarest because MK2 just came out & he was the secret character so everyone wanted the figure I had !!!!!! I had all the figures it's too bad I was too young to understand that they would eventually be collectables ☹️ Been a MK fan since the OG arcade game with the gold dragons on the side of the machine!!!!! I even had a Scorpion figure with a removable felt vest that had a blue sub zero face mask & a all black under suit / leggings!!!!! It was goofy looking but I wanted the felt vests for my Scorpion figure!!!!!

    I have a few original purchases from my childhood. I've since bought a few more. I have most of the original lineup collected. But they are getting stupid expensive nowadays.

    I have the Sub-Zero one, because he’s my favourite MK character. I want the Special Edition Sub-Zero figure and I really wish there was an official Ermac one.
    Edit: I got the Johnny Cage with the silver gloves, black pants and blue ninja gear on the chest. I want to get Scorpion, the other versions of Johnny Cage and the Reptile figure. Then I’m satisfied.

    Mom prevents son from enjoying toys as a kid. Son grows up to be a toy collector.

    The thing I found amusing about the "movie" Ken and movie Raiden was that the face sculpt looks like an old man. So it looked good for middle aged Christopher Lambert, but weird on 20-something Ken.
    I still have both game and movie version Raiden figures btw

    My local video store (which was only a block away) had MK in the front and I played the heck out of it-first arcade game I could beat on my first quarters.

    I always hated the way that Sonya figure looked, but despite that I had like ten of them because she’s always been my favorite lol

      Yeah, they should have at least painted the torso and waist a different color on the green figure to make it more match her video game look.

    Why were they never branded g.i.joe mortal kombat.

    • @Pegwarmers
      @Pegwarmers  7 місяців тому

      Either Hasbro or Capcom didn't think it needed the crossbranding.
