- James was a slave to crystal meth for nearly four decades. And his addiction stripped away everything he treasured, including family and friends. Then he turned from Skid Row to Union Rescue Mission. “My first moment walking in the doors, I knew I was surrendering to God,” he said. “I knew this was a place that I was supposed to be.”

Just met James today at the orientation. He showed us around with kindness and great sense of humor. It's incredibly inspiring to see how he was able to turn his life around and now a great servant of God. Keep up the great work James!!!

I love stories like this, but back in like 1991 i was at the old mission and was kicked out for being gay so that's why i don't donate and back then I new a lot of people who were big time people who donated so they stopped donating and it was a lot of people until I see different i just can't donate to hate
