- Preview of the new wind system for the update 19. This time is the new rain code. Now angle, volume and density is working together with the wind setting. Also a new rain spawn system to improve the rain density with the same quantity of particles.

@@ThaHouseKid I do pay quite a lot of attention to stalker, but the modding community it has is absolutely amazing, and extremely talented. So anything I'd want to add into the game - somebody already did it and somebody else perfected it. So all I do - enjoy the game, instead of losing my sh*t trying to create some mods for it =D

Honestly, X-Ray has so much more character than soulless engines like Unity or Unreal, what modmakers like you are doing is making the REAL Stalker 2. You can't make a good game if you outsource half of it to some guys who put in barely enough effort to only meet the minimal requirement instead of having actual passion people like you have.

Thanks... but there's plenty of AAA titles with amazing weather systems. I know some companies are lazy, but there's plenty of extremely talented people working on AAA studios doing marvelous things.

I've followed your work since the beginning of SSS and I and probably everyone else can clearly see what you are capable of. Would it be possible to create a shader or effect where blood is splattered onto your mask glass overlay somehow? That there is a chance when taking damage that an amount of blood is splattered on the mask HUD which you are able to wipe off or let the rain remove for you?? Just a suggestion/thought for something that could be really freakin' immersive!

@@nakakal Well, there's no per branch motion, I don't have access to the trees meshes to add some data to include the feature. The branch will just follow the trunk bending.

No... Vanilla Anomaly is already doing a vertex manipulation to every tree and grass when you're playing, this is just a new method. A little more expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Generally, vertex shaders are a lot less expensive than pixel shaders; for example, a blur/bloom post-process can be something a lot more "dangerous" because you need to sample multiple times a texture for each pixel on your screen, at 1080p you got 2.073.600 pixels.

The HUD raindrops are already affected by the rain density. Maybe I need to increase the impact of the value.

The only problem with the volumetric clouds is the required time to create a complex enough system to create inspiring skies. Volumetric clouds are typically done in screen space.
Crazy to see what people can accomplish on their free time on a 15 years old engine when a lot of AAA studios out there can't release a functioning $70 game.

Does the direction affect water buildup on the face mask? Like if it is being blown towards your face does it build up faster than if it was blowing away from your face?

Will the new SSS be compatible with GAMMA? Wanted to support you on Kofi but heard GAMMA always needed patches for latest SSS to work.
SSS is always compatible with GAMMA, sometimes it can conflict with some things when a new version of SSS is introduced, but Grok and the development team of GAMMA is always working on it.

hello buddy, sorry for being intrusive, but I would like to advise you to look at the “живая зона” mod, the name is better written in Russian because I didn’t find any reviews in English, this mod, or rather, the map was created for 10 years by one person who lived for 10 years in a real exclusion zone and completely suffered the entire city of Pripyat on the X-ray engine, the version of its engine is multi-threaded, so the fps in the game is excellent, this map is simply colossal in size and it is a truly seamless world without any transitions. Fully populated levels with a running alife simulation with acceptable performance will support no more than 1 square kilometer size in xray.
Therefore, this Pripyat can be easily used in stalker but you just need to divide it into at least 6 parts, and preferably more for greater productivity.
For example:
- 1 microdistrict
- 2 microdistrict
- 3 microdistrict
- 4 microdistrict
- 5 microdstrict
- 5A microdistrict
- 6 microdistrict
- 7 microdistrict
- Center
- North-west outskirts of Pripyat
- South-east outskirts of Pripyat
- Jupiter outskirts
- Yanov outskirts
= need to divide Pripyat from Living Zone into at least 12 levels
I also don’t really understand why people say that this map cannot be used anywhere and that it is too big. They actually SEEN that Anomaly has Pripyat from SoC as central Pripyat and Pripyat from CoP as east Pripyat...
The main problem is to fill and make competent transitions from levels like in half life, so that when moving to another part of Pripyat, the player visually ends up in the same place from where he came. Modmakers know what I mean - LODs, AI mesh and invisible walls.
Conceptually, if you do this, you need to completely abandon all fictitious ground levels from the original, that is, literally all levels with the exception of the CNPP, the Pripyat from CoP and the laboratorkes. Replacements for events at levels from the original game must be found at some point in Pripyat in accordance with the distance to the CNPP. Everything is done on the GPU... and really fast. It's just a vertex shader.

Ещё бесшовный мир и многопоточность. А их никто не сделает, и по этой причине все лучшие модмейкеры убегут делать моды на С2.

@@raysfникто не будет переносить. Большая часть того на чём выехала аномалия это графон и локации сразу из всех частей. Это в С2 будет сразу из коробки.
