Well, it kind of is an experiment on how to sell the least food for the most money while still retaining your customers. I get mcds is cheap and available but just look at the burgers he prepares the most, they're usually just a patty with some mao yo and cheese between two buns and the whole thing is very small, and not filling. Im sure you can buy a decent burger for not so much more money
It's actually the opposite that has always been the key to McDonald's success. Sell the most food (pump the most out the door) for the least amount of money(food cost). You can go to a sit down restaurant and get a higher quality burger for around the same price of course. But not even close to in 3 minutes or less. @@matiastripaldi406
Hi Stephen! I always love watching your content, first seeing you on TikTok. I work at a different franchise and love sharing your content to my crew, keep up the amazing work! ❤
Things are so different and yet similar than when I worked at a McDonalds in 2003-4. Never any meat seasoning, and now grilled onions on the basic burgers. I also advocate for the snack wraps return, those were the best.
I think it just depends on the location because I’ve seen videos of places that still don’t do that even though I work there currently and that’s what I do
I give you a lot of credit as I never realized all the work that goes into working in a McDonald’s. I have seen many of your videos and I swear I’m Looking at my phone like 😳. Your job is very fast pace. I guess I never noticed that. I saw a couple videos you did, one where you made 100 burgers and I was like I lost count. You do your job well. I do have much respect for anyone working in the fast food industry as it’s not easy. Thanks for the videos.
Just tried a hamburger at my local McDonald's in Ohio. They are using the new (old) method. The hamburger tasted just like they did 40 years ago. A noticable improvement, to me, over the recently discontinued method.
I remember when I used to be a manager at McDonald we don’t even have those grill. Ours were only those 4 grill not like how you guys have. I was the kitchen department/full time manager. I was in charge of doing truck order and everything from food cost waste and inventory every 2 weeks and end of the month inventory. So it was much
Im not trying to speak for everyone or every place but this is the most professional and cleanest McDonald's I ever seen on God, and this gentleman here is a beast very hard worker
@aaaaaaa2309 I appreciate fast food workers, but as someone who has been a chef for 15+ years mcdonalds isn't complex. They make it stupid simple for their cooks.
❤️The joy of "Prepping"!... Labeling & Stocking... calming & refreshing. I could do that forever... just putting the Onions in the Shaker... and splitting the sleeve of Cheese and Labeling... Smile! That McDouble and the s m e l l of those Fries! I kindly made sure that 2 of the Onion Shakers were properly Washed, cleaned, stocked, & placed in the Walk - In, where the Burrito Mix is located.
What is old is new again. We (McDonald's) put the reconstituted onions on the 10-1 patties while they were on grill 40 years ago. Except we just used our fingers instead of fancy onion shakers.
Do you think it would be a noticeable difference if the onions went on before grilling the patties? I could be way wrong on this one, but it seems like the onions didn't get a chance to cook?
So...when you're prepping the buns with the toppings, you no longer pull any onions from the bin? The only onions will be whatever hopefully stuck to the meat from the grill?
So you are using the new technique for onions, but they also said the cheese was going to be melted from now on. How does that work? Also, I wonder how this is any different from before, whether you put the onions on when they come off the grill or during burger construction, because either way the onions aren’t being grilled/cooked.
@@gitgeronimo9375 thats the thought but trying to get the slices of cheese apart when its at room temp is so annoying I usually just put them back in the fridge till I need them
the cheese is tempered - so it’s warmer to start with and melts faster . the onions cook in the cabs ( the thing that holds the trays of food ) its heated & cooks them ..
To save a few cents I prefer the McDouble. I've always wished I could have a whole case of Filet o' fish patties, there are no frozen fish patties as good as McDonald's filet o' fish patties.
Are all McD's utilizing the onion grilling process now? I was at one of my local franchises yesterday and saw the signage....but when I got my Big Mac, the only difference was they doubled up on the Mac sauce. Quite disappointing.
Perhaps you already have a video and I haven’t seen it, but have you ever posted the average statistics of how much of the various food items you go through in a single day at one of your restaurants?

Man. I have to say, I was just in Mexico after 18 years and yes, I had to have McDonald’s, and I tell you what, it’s better than in the US, it’s what McDonald’s used to be here, better, taste, burgers, and nuggets are larger, a big Mac is actually big, and, it’s cheaper!
