Bright view !!!!! Keep it up !!! They took a big account from he is was getting 10,500 month !!! No sweat though when your working for Fortune 500 companies , things change.
not bad mouthing the incumbent is a great way to approach it. Companies that do that are basically telling people that they made a bad choice or makes them feel like they were stupid in making the choice they did.
Wow i think you really put a lot of details in this I'll pick threw this video at least 10 more times. I was talked out of doing my first big apartment this year maybe for the best... maybe??. I'm try to get some larger account my self. Need to get a little more equipment yet.thx you have awesome videos
sam thanks Sam. I'll tell you, it is a beast doing these properties, but if you have the confidence do it, if your guts says to wait then wait, just don't be afraid though to jump...!
Good video, Wally. Gonna refresh myself with a couple Wally Wood Commercial Property videos before I head out to make 2 big commercial bids. Owner on site. That’s what I’m taking away from this one. Thanks. -Craig
Up north east it costs $17 an hr with WCOMP , And the employees should get 12.50 hr . So basically if you want your men to receive 13.50 hr The owner needs to pay 17.50 hr including the payroll lady . What I've learned staying small is , you should never lower your costs because it's a good job / contract With to 60 exmarks we typically can do 1000 in a day MINUS fule equipment depreciation labor witch is 20 - 30 % of the profits which is a lot but you pay well you generally get better guys
Hey Lawn Commander! Doing great and man have we been going through some health issues but hope to be getting on here full swing this year! Send me a message and lets talk! I see your in NC
all I maintain here in California is maintain large commercial properties.they are always willing to pay extra for anything that needs updating or whatever it be
Wally, looking good brother. Sorry didn't get with you after Christmas (crazy time bro) and I still definitely want to meet up and grab a bite. Really want to pick your brain about my business and your thoughts on it. I'll be in touch. Thanks for another great video.
You're right, the big companies become dethatched and unresponsive to the customer. Another point, never thrash the previous contractor just to make yourself look good...karma is something else...
You're right karma is something else, I never trash-talk any companies to clients. I don't go after people's properties ever. I don't believe in that. When I talk to people that watch my channel that's a different story. when I'm talking to people my community it's one thing. That's why this is my channel and I say or do whatever I want on this channel, and people can either watch or not watch
A good question for any one in the lawn services business! ? Is a ten thousand $ mower How much does it depreciate in the first year? 2nd year? 3rd year? 4 th year ? 5th year? My guess is ..... a season on the first 3 new year s of operation
So what’s that number look like? 250k for the year? For all the things you mentioned. If I were to bid at that price am I selling myself short or overpricing? Just curious
I'm the guy that keeps my old gear going! New motors eat Hydro pumps and wheel motor s r the very reason to sell after 3 rd season ! THATS IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO , I CANT PAY MY TV BILL but the mortgage + electric is paid
Beach River Landscapes thanks for replying bro. But I have no clue what that time frame is. I’m sure different plants and different regions vary with their heal time. I’m in Brunswick ga and took over a commercial property and they want the hedges cut and I’m scared cuz of the time of year and it could freeze anytime here soon. Would A couple weeks before a freeze comes in be safe for you? I don’t want to replace thousands of dollars of shrubs.
Hey wally i live in jax i am starting a lawn service and had some questions about it can i email you or should i just call you i know you would be the right person to talk to thanks Dean
Yeah I would never truly base my estimate on that but I always gave you a good idea on how much money they have to spend on grounds care. I'm still trying to rebuild my business after a divorce and custody dispute ,= lot s of lawer fees . Any thank for positive info to help keep me moving forward, I started in 1993 and never got over 15,000.00 a month now I'm lucky to do 8 a month

That's a big place
Do you add pet stations in your bids and how much do you charge for monthly services in bid or subcontract that part out.
Oh wow you do your mulching at the end of the year huh? My buddy does all his cleanups and mulching at the begging of the year at the end of winter.
27 acres , that has to be $90,000 , for mowing straw edging and weed control in cement and landscape beds
I'm just basing Est on acres
Hey sir how do I measaure out a 22 building complex
yeah i'd clean up that tree line

A good question for any one in the lawn services business!
? Is a ten thousand $ mower
How much does it depreciate in the first year?
2nd year?
3rd year?
4 th year ?
5th year?
My guess is ..... a season on the first 3 new year s of operation
You provide Tree service, irrigation, and herbicide, but outsource the fertilizing(?) Is Florida's application certification that strict?
Ty Petrisin yessir irrigation and minor tree service, anything major 9n trees we sub it out
What do you think an apartment complex with 218 units and about 35-40 acres should go for just mow, weedeat, and edge?
Not a lot of units for that size, r they big bldgs?
So what’s that number look like? 250k for the year? For all the things you mentioned. If I were to bid at that price am I selling myself short or overpricing? Just curious
Gil yeah man there is absolutely no way in the world we would make near that on a property like this
What do you need legally to be able to bid commercial properties? Do I have to provide the big tree trimming too?
No sir you can sub that out
If it snowed there you would have to hire tons more people lol
I'm the guy that keeps my old gear going!
New motors eat
Hydro pumps and wheel motor s r the very reason to sell after 3 rd season !
THATS IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO , I CANT PAY MY TV BILL
but the mortgage + electric is paid
In your opinion, how many days before a freeze would be safe to trim hedges?
Enough times for the plant to *glaze over at the cut spot

Hey wally i live in jax i am starting a lawn service and had some questions about it can i email you or should i just call you i know you would be the right person to talk to thanks Dean
Schumacher 904 sure man!
nice video man how much per acres for 12 time
Martinezfamilia Martinez we don't have a standard cost per acre. It's diff per property
How bog is Brightview out there?
Hugo Garcia they're really big here
How do you deal with really picky clients
Jose Herrera just try our best to make them happy. We r honest n transparent with them
You have annoying clients give them to your competition
Ever do over 200 acres ?
Largest single condo we have a 67 acres
Count the units , find out what they pay for there condo fees , then u know what there budget is
Not true anymore. That was the old way, they don't go by that anymore...larger companies like Brightview brickman etc has changed that
Yeah I would never truly base my estimate on that but I always gave you a good idea on how much money they have to spend on grounds care. @@beachriverlandscapes we have those two companies in Connecticut they kind of suck lol
I have a client who asked me to trim her trees for free
Jose Herrera 😂😂😂
Spending a dime to save a dollar,
?? Make sense or not?
You did not show how to bid at all it sucked
