Someone throwaway this kitchen fan. I thought I should give a try . If is working, I clean it, and I can use it in my workshop. I hope you enjoy the video.
That's what I imagine my smokers' lungs look like on the inside. I'm surprised that fan didn't catch fire years ago. Good job. Just perfect for your workshop/garage!
Well this was an unusual restore cleaning thing job, so interesting then to us, looks to be from a professional kitchen a restaurant of it is this dirty high usage we are thinking. As head machine shop chef here at AA cooking is something I must perform daily says Lance. Came out really well materials in the kitchen can be suborn you re-purposed for your shop really cool thing to do. Thank you, Lance & Patrick.
The acetone was eating away at your latex gloves, that's why they were falling apart. And you should have soaked all the parts in rubbing alcohol that would have dissolved all of the grease and gotten in to all of the cracks and crevices that the acetone didn't. Just trying to make your job easier😁😁😁
Yeah degreaser might work as well but it won't eat away at the grease as fast as the alcohol will do the job. And no degreaser won't eat away at plastics or latex gloves
And for all of you guys that are a fan of Yarimasu and his work, here's a little big of trivia for you. If you were ever wondering what yarimasu means, it's a Japanese very that basically means to "do". Like in the phrase " watashi ga yarimasu " which literally means " I will do it ".🙇🙇🙇🎌🎌🎌
I have to agree with the other people who are wondering why you didn't dissemble the fan not that clips keeping it together, but you did clean it up okay. A better job could have been done by taking it apart and spraying it with hot water to soften it up. Good job, to much work on it.
Don't know where you are from, but if you have access to a produces like Purple Power or Super Clean, you could have cleaned all of that grease off using those cleaners and mere water. Acetone works, but can also dissolve plastics and such. A serious degreaser and a water hose outside would have made short work of that cleaning. JMHO
I think he is in Japan 🇯🇵 - this style of extractor fan is mass produced in China and used throughout that part of the world, the only thing I don’t like about it is the overly exposed impeller - must be installed high up/out of reach. The kitchen that threw out this fan hopefully installed a proper commercial extractor hood with grease filtering 😉🌟
Sorry man...couldn't make it to the end...all that grease! 🤢.Lot of respect though that you could deal with it. Thumbnail at the start of the video shows that you nailed it to your usual high standard....congratulations. 👍
not your best effort..many methods would have been easier to clean..and maybe this item deserved a disassembly...but..at least it works and looks better..
That's what I imagine my smokers' lungs look like on the inside. I'm surprised that fan didn't catch fire years ago. Good job. Just perfect for your workshop/garage!
Your patience is commendable!
I think most everyone else would have thrown that out and purchased a new one. Great job!!
Here I thought I was the only one who cleans fans like this. Great job.
I thought you were going to have to break out the chisels with all that bunker on grease. Great job!
I'm sure you at least had dish washing soap in the kitchen... It was hard watching you struggle like that.

Active Atom Thank you. Yes maybe is from a restaurant. One for sure, that was a lot of oil.😁
wow... thats crusty... n idk why u make ur life harder by not disassembling the fan when it is only held together literally by a few clips and screws
It would have started a fire with me just looking at it the way my luck goes :( Good job cleaning it!!
Enjoyed and gave a Thumbs Up also
Thank you.
@@yarimasu8760 You're welcome
hot water and ammonia would do a great job on greasy dirt too. Love your videos! Keep up the great work!!

Thank you. I will try alcohol next time. 🙏
I'm wondering if degreaser would work as well. At least it wont start dissolving plastic (and gloves).
Yeah degreaser might work as well but it won't eat away at the grease as fast as the alcohol will do the job. And no degreaser won't eat away at plastics or latex gloves
Don't forget to soak it in the alcohol😁😁😁
That fan was literally painted in grease, you did a great job cleaning it, looks good now👍
Thank you.
Very good restoration bro 👍👍👍👍👍
Good job!!! 👍👍👍
Jesus, that looked disgusting!
Amazing job, i didnt know aceton would work so well!
Nice vídeo as always!
Leandro Brinca Thank you. Yes, that was nasty, but looking good right now. I didnt know acetone will work, but did work. 👍✌️
I give you credit for just touching that thing
😂😂😂😂
Someone took a dump on that fan.
😂😂😂
it would be great if you don't put the finished work on the thumbnail. give us a surprise. btw, nice job
awesome
Very nice, Next time cut your work in half and just use oven cleaner aerosol, then use the acetone. Good Job with the "double glow" too. thumbs up!
Acetone dissolves plastic, BAD idea.
When using acetone on plastic, it's always a good idea to wash with soap and water afterwards
Nice 12 inch fan blades
Old terry cloth rags would have worked well in all the crevasses. Nice job.

🙏
Good work, but no paint?
This is not restoration , this is just cleaning
Is not restoration, is cleaning...
Oh my, that was a nasty mess! But, nice after it was all cleaned up!
Soak in Purple Power Degreaser and rinse my guy. Other than that it took dedication to clean someone else's nasty mess.
Should use a good degreasing dish soap.
Satisfying 🤤
What brand of this exhaust fan, may i know it?
You need to invest ina putty knife, even just a plastic one for scraping wider areas.

I thought it was from your house and how much lighter was it with everything removed??

I don’t have access to those cleaners.😭

Brush with acetone, then wipe with hot water. Easier, no need for double gloves. Even dish soap with hot water might have worked instead of acetone.
Acetone dissolves plastic. All he needed was some dish washing soap
Subarashi
Do you want to come clean my oven 🤣
😂😂😂
Acetone works because it cuts grease.
It also dissolves plastic.
Maybe it is a soot on a fan.
Gross, yet satisfying!
Wow
WD40....then carb and choke cleaner....???
*They finally use acetone, at long last*
_zips through the rest of it_
Looks allot better but u did the job wrong.
Why? It’s working, and clean. Don’t over think the video.
The whole thing just like get burned before.
Truely is only dirty remains on the fan.
That is not restoration, you only clean. But good job
I also want to restore my fan, plz help me

iamrichrocker True. 👍
I found that rubbing alcohol works well on removing old grease, just mind the fumes.
a 3M scrubber pad on an angle grinder would have worked faster, but needs disassembly...
В другой раз попробуй димексид.
restoration ≠ cleaning !
@Onkel Stevo - Should he have preserved the 'patina' in your opinion?
Spetsnaz 101 😂😂👍👍👍
has anybody tried goo be gone?
Щелочью залил бы , много лишних движений
Есть такая штука называется антигриль, кислота для очистки коптильных помещений, она помощнее будет
Помыл и всё? я так тоже смогу!
Nice work, but I think you start restoring trash.
Seriously please restore some better or old stuff.
Absolutely disgusting...

Из кёрхера отмыть было бы быстрее
Tree 😭
Restoration? Are you kidding?
Low quality cleaning maybe...
Bla bla bla
Yarimasu Childish.
Now I understand the cause of your low quality jobs.
Your job quality can’t be higher than yours. 👏
Continua sujo
restoration?
Wow
