Hi Lindsey & Ken, What an exciting cruise you are on , Enjoyed your first video, looking forward to watching the ports of call. Cheers ! Have a great Time.
We have quite a few friends on this cruise. Regarding the sip and cover we had this on Regal last year but only in the Vista lounge and theatre. It was not really enforced in the Vista lounge except during the loyalty parties.
Really looking forward to seeing rest of your cruise, the longest I have done is ten days. Don’t quite get the mask bit unless you didn’t do a COVID test before getting on. Have a wonderful time.
Thanks for another brilliant embarkation day video - its safe to say we are rather green with envy 🤩😁 What a great start to a brilliant itinerary - we've not yet done a 25 night cruise but its definitely our idea of heaven 😀 It's nice that embarkation was so smooth - its been bumpy across the board since, and it's good to see normality almost back 😊
Masks are now recommend and are no longer mandatory. We have had a few itinerary changes due to the aftermath of the hurricane so we have a double visit to St John's and an extra day in New York
@@KenGoesCruising that's good - it makes sense that they are recommended, and a lot of people will feel happier with a mask in a busy public place 😊 Oh no! Were you badly affected by the hurricane?
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, thank you. With respect to mandatory masking on certain itineraries, it’s important to remember that earlier in the year, there were far fewer Covid cases on board than there are now. That’s mostly due to the relaxing of certain protocols, in addition to increasing ship capacity. What’s also different now is that unvaccinated people are now also allowed to cruise. While the vaccine does provide some level of protection against becoming infected, its main purpose is to help prevent severe illness and death. And it does that very well. In general, unvaccinated people have much more severe outcomes from Covid-19 than fully vaccinated people, the majority of whom experience only mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. Because of the higher incidence of severe illness and death amongst unvaccinated people, mandatory masking helps reduce the risk of these passengers getting infected and becoming severely ill while at sea, where medical services may be limited. Given the length of your cruise and the fact that it includes a transatlantic sailing, it’s therefore not surprising that a mandatory masking has been implemented for the first 7 days of your voyage. Should a passenger (or passengers) get infected and become severely ill during that time, I don’t believe airlifting them to a medical facility on land is even an option.
If you get the chance, please post more videos of your cruise and your visit to Canada. I would love to experience my own country through the eyes of those who are “from away”! So in advance, welcome to Canada!
@@Kiara_Kat Thanks Lynne we have so far visited Cornerbrook and St John's we now sail down to New York for a few stops in the USA then back up to Canada. I will be posting more videos soon I don't have the best equipment with me on board so it takes a long time. Keep tuned and subscribe to make sure you get notified. Thanks Ken

The mask was a requirement from Canada. We were all tested with observed tests before departure
