They profit like no other with conditions of importing only chinese men to work in their projects, and when they are unable to pay the "loans", they end up in a debt trap like sri lanka with 95percent of GDP going to repay loans. Thus completely dependent on china. Best of luck to all countries participating in this. 😂😂but check their track record of countries invested.

Although I am an American and love democracy, there is one thing I must admit. The key to China's continued success over the past few decades was its lack of democracy. In my opinion, the key problem of democracy is that it forces politicians to focus on short term issues that can be completely solved, or shown to be solving withing a presidential term in order to get reelected or in order for their party to get reelected. Think about it. In US presidential elections, we almost always hear about job growth or fighting terrorism. Why? Because people can see the results of presidential actions on those factors relatively quickly. Your average unemployed voter will be happy if he gets a job within the next four years. However, because of this focus on short term growth, long term issues are largely ignored. Take green energy as a perfect example. It is a great idea in the long run; it will provide lots of high paying jobs in the future while simultaneously helping combat climate change. The only expense is the loss of obsolete trades. Even ignoring the fact that the workers in such obsolete industries can be trained, a transition to green energy would be a large boon overall for America. But people didn't vote for Clinton who said that she would take away coal jobs and support green energy. She was attacked viciously by Trump for this and Trump got support from coal country by vowing to protect coal jobs. American manufacturing is another great example. Trump got the support from the Rust Belt by vowing to protect American manufacturing and he was able to win that region and win the general election due to this key support. But in the long run, allowing for more efficient manufacturing processes such as automation, even at the price of American jobs, will be a boon overall. It would decrease production costs, make American goods far more competitive on international markets, and decrease prices for American consumers. The people would save more money, companies would reap greater profits and America's trade deficit could be drastically mitigated. But since the voters want their jobs now, anyone who voices such plans is sure to lose the support of the Rust Belt. Contrast this with China. The communist party has utter control and as a result, they can focus on long term growth and change without worrying about how the citizens would react. They will invest in Africa to get a foothold on the continent for generations to come. They will go ahead with OBOR in order to establish trade relations with much of Asia and even parts of Europe and exert influence over them. They will put plans into motion that will yield fruit decades later in their quest for global dominance. This is why China is so brutally efficient. The truth is that a dictatorship that truly works with the goal of promoting the well-being of the country will always be far more efficient than a democracy composed of uneducated masses. In a democracy, victory goes not to the best candidate, but to he who can best read the electorate and connect with it. Edit: Some people seem to be confused and I may not have made it clear enough. I do still believe democracy is better at protecting the rights of the people especially since in order to get elected, the candidates have to connect with the people and actively campaign for their votes. Because of this, they are responsive to the voices of the people and their rights are secured. However, what I was trying to argue was that a dictatorship like China's allows for its government to pursue drastic change in order to increase the power of the country as a whole on the international stage.
The only way a democracy can be more efficient than a dictatorship that truly wants to promote the interests of the country is for the overwhelming majority of the electorate to be highly educated and focused on long term change.
Honestly, part of the problem is that young people, especially those in college don't vote. I hope that more people in my generation will realize this and vote in elections once we turn 18. Not just the general election, but midterm, state, and local elections too.
+Musical Sanctuary I understand your point of view and even somewhat agree, but theres a big part your missing. Like you said, people are more focused on relatively short term change, which mainly consists of domestic issues like job growth, healthcare, and education (and its price), but why? Because these are things that actually improve the quality of life of a person. People dont care about having a heavy world influence if their own lives suck, only once they and their family are okay and their futures protected will they be interested in more long term things, and of course, a democracy's job is to protect its people's interests, so the government responds to these people's demands. China on the other hand doesnt have to do this as you mentioned, but as a result, living conditions there are awful for the average person and the jobs they have are mostly sweat shop jobs.
This is a very common trend, as when the US was first rising to super power status in the late 1800s in the industrial revolution, although the economy was booming and the US' power expanding, the people were unhappy as work conditions sucked, everyone lived in slums, and the quality of life was pathetic.
The thing about china is while yes things get done they often get done a very shoddy manner and while they are great at a lot of things your average guy with an engineering degree in china is about as skilled as an auto mechanic in the us don't get me wrong a global force to be reckoned with but like America not with out its flaws

silvervixen007 your damn right there-China is playing the long game and if it pays off she will reap a lot of rewards. I’m from the U.K. and we did something vaguely similar (although not anywhere near as stealthy-no need to back in the industrial revolution I guess), by making sure we controlled trade routes-we did it by force but China is doing it with money but if it works China will be in a very favourable position. And we in the West have had a large hand in making this happen due to our greed and desire for cheap manufacturing. Which I’ll readily admit I’ve been part of-I think the best way to try and keep China in check even a little bit is for the West to focus more on India, I can’t see it happening though. To me it’s a foregone conclusion that China will control many trade routes in 10-20yrs time and she will have a tremendous amount of “soft” power influence as well as the military hardware to back it up
Teethgrinder 83 I wouldn't say it's stealthy As they literally moving communities of Chinese all over And I love the fact you compared it to the UK during industrial revolution because it is basically the same concept
you're not wrong. although, while Vox is at it, I'd also appreciate a video on how they've been bribing foreign politicians into supporting Chinese positions, atrocious human rights records, the fact China has an emperor again in all but name (once his new 12 point plan goes ahead -next few months.) China has also been ramping up their military and has also gotten several of the countries here, economically indebted to them, which they then take in return for favors, not just ports. they may be going about world domination 'peacefully'. once this project is completed, America could seriously have its world dominance threatened by China, and China might take the place of the world hegemony. depending on how America reacts, it could go cold war 2.0, or a new version of the start of the 20th century, with both competing against each other like the French and the German empires. if America loses in either situations, then we could very well be looking at china replacing america within a century or two (at most). which is no doubt their plan. it'll be intresting to see how a communist government will finally deal with the reality of having the world in its hands. As an Australian, things are looking a little scary here as well. in the last year, we've had one of our politicians bribed by state-owned Chinese businessmen into supporting the Chinese position in the south china sea and our mere suggestion of Chinese bribery threw them into a fit. when our government put in new anti-foreign interference laws, China threw a big tantrum and things were looking pretty nasty in the Chinese embassy. the Chinese own the agricultural sector and are encroaching on a few others. they've bought out most Australian businesses and investors in Papua new guinea, and they've got a port on lease down here too. on the top of that, they've also massively contributed to the housing market crisis we're going through at the moment. lot's of Chinese businessmen would launder money from China into Australia and the west, using housing as a piggy bank / black money cleanser. (though thankfully that's toned down a lot in the last year.) on top of that, they also own all of the mandarin media down here too, and they've used to suggest Chinese Australians to vote for particular politicians, and have used it to recite stories of Australian racism on Chinese, and myths of Chinese students getting beaten up commonly on university campuses. propaganda, basically. on top of that, they was this korean pop girl down in China who was waving a Taiwanese flag after one of her performances, and china forced her to do a public apology to the chinese government for supporting the existence of Taiwan. (which China doesn't considor legitimate.

America has lost its identity. We don't know who we are or where we are going as a nation. That's why people talk about "Make America Great Again" and talk about the 1950s. American needs to innovate again as a nation. Forward thinking.
Trump basically showed the world that America has a lot of idiots. If the US wasn't the economical powerhouse it is today, countries would have abandoned us long ago.
Our time is limited if we keep fighting like this. How could we leave the Paris Agreement? We have the top scientists in the world and every country except two, at the time, signed the agreement. American could have generated jobs for scientists and engineers. We could have been the leaders for new companies and export that new technology of energy to other countries! We have the infrastructure for it better than anyone! What did we do about the future? We left it...
s remax dont be worried America will always be the number one power because we have a free country and civil rights free countries always lead to success
Global trade agreements are not necessarily in the best interest of the American people. Investing in things like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, on the other hand, are.
I mean, I remember a large part of the internet being against the TPP because of increased copyright law regulation, until it became a Trump thing. This video barely touched upon the fact that the reason china is doing this, is because economically they have to. China has been building infrastructure like crazy these past few years and its economy would suffer if it didn't continue to put these construction industries to work. You think they're going to get a military port in serbia or the UK? Like I feel the video is somewhat trying to mislead people, because it starts building up towards a conclusion, but then doesn't state anything. I don't think it's intentional, but it's part of the bias I've seen on Vox videos in particular.
yumyum366 Britain stands with Europe, but not a part of it. I hope the British government is smart enough not to allow the Chinese to "invest" in their country like this.
I understand China has its own issues, but this doesn't change the fact that China grow from a very poor country to the second largest economy in 60 years. Trading with China definitely will create opportunities and wealths for the people. Comparing to what the US did of building military bases in other counties, building ports for trade is far better.

@@BeaverChainsaw if I was a governor, someone would offer loan to help me build a port I would accept as long as they share some interests back with me. 99 years or right to operate is just the current term, as long as I got some business running on my land stably, it should always be better than keep having the unconstructed land for 100 years? Not to mention that over time if financial situation improved, terms can be re-negotiated. The important part about China is that, they don't just send warships to bomb you or raise tariffs to threaten you for their interests. They always negotiate patiently and piecefully. Isn't it a better choice than the rigid terms come with IMF loans
Good or Evil, at least China is building roads, railways, ports in poor countries which they couldn't fund themselves. Saadi Sabyasachi It's far too easy to fool the sheep. Big giants don't play simple games and their every move has a deeper meaning and purpose. Those who can't deduce the deeper purpose are all sheep lead by their giants.
Ash, everybody knows what the big giants want here. They want to exercise power, have a control over resources. But to do that US has been busy with long wars in middle east which cost lives and also brought a global financial crisis at 2007-08. Meanwhile, China's strategy was to invest in infrastructure, ports etc. They too want to gain control but they want to do that without any bloodshed. And i guess most people will prefer to see construction of infrastructure in their country, instead of destruction by bombs.
ƃN Ⅎ, Ya, US loves to invade countries one by one, not all at a time. The countries i mentioned, US had been at war with them in the last 15 years. in Libya, there was less direct involvement of US troops. Instead they supplied arms, money to rebel groups and their actions has kept Libya politically unstable till date.
Saadi Sabyasachi Indeed the US government has had their flaws with their foreign policies and till this day I can't trust them to lead anyone apart from their own country to success. This is the same reason i don't know how the Chinese government will be or what their purpose will be or outcome of their actions. Chinese are also not that reluctant to go to war as their agreessive nature is apparent in the south East Asia sea with the military approach. Who knows what the Chinese government will do in the future with all their influence and strength they are building, that's why all the giants are a threat to us, the common and the innocent either today or tomorrow. Honestly as an American I feel that china becoming a super power will benefit America so much. Americans need to see that they are lacking and falling behind and the only way to do so will be for them to be challenged. Having competition will force America to innovate and look towards the future rather than still arguing for coal energy or making goods in America. When the us and the ussr were the two superpowers America started investing to have better education and economy in order to prove itself. America needs to get off its high horse and develop itself rather than becoming comfortable with where it is. In the long run isolationism never works and until Americans see that they will continue losing their importance globally
Kritika Verma As a fellow American, while I think your theory is a bit simplistic, I hope very strongly that a rise in Chinese global influence spurs a change in American governing. If nothing else, the oligarchs must fall.
China is the opposite of America. America has freedom of religion but suffers a countless number of cults and Christian schools brainwash nationwide with the 100 million pop who believe in the existence of angels. America has freedom of speech but then fake news produced by certain interest groups are manipulating the nation on everything. America has deregulation from the government but then infrastructure can barely be built and jobs are moving out of the nation. America has rule of law but then millions of gangsters can get away with the punishment as long as they don't get caught obviously. These typical American problems, however, don't exist in China simply because China just do the opposite on these issues, regulating religions, restricting mediums and internet, banning firearm, stated regulated economy, the official crackdown and witch hunt on organized gangs. Of course, China has its own problems, but they are caused by the flaw of the Chinese system rather than the American one.
I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about. Companies in the US are always developing and investing in new technology; as a company you cannot survive without it. Not sure where you have been, but for the past century and still to this day the US is the most powerful economy. Sure the US government is not financing projects like the CCP, but many of those projects being funded by China will fail, and I do not believe that the US government is supposed to make large state run companies that gamble with tax money. I prefer development of the private sector and I absolutely do not want the type of omnipresent and totalitarian government that goes along with the Chinese model of growth.
Well said! Furthermore, it's an absurd assumption that America have never been one the most technological and innovative nation for the last decades and have to be challenged by an adversary to boost up their investment in technology and education sectors. We have to remember that Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are all American allies, and the US has stationed military bases over there to keep China in check, allowing the US to be top dog. The USA wants to continue dominance in the world as the sole superpower, while China merely aims at creating a multipolar world in which America will have to deal with an equal rival. China's history is marked by self-sufficiency, and depending too much on foreign nations can be a risky deal. If the relationship goes sour, the trade partner may back out and starve your country. So, as a national security, China needs to find new trade routes, and FAST!
@@user-rn5ou7dn4p Nah... I don’t think the USA really cares much about Taiwan. But the US doesn’t want to upset them either and lose an ally. The US is using Taiwan as a strategic location to counter China rather than protecting Taiwan for the sake of Taiwanese nationalism.
@ArthurSoo You’re exactly right. All of the people also don’t see that China has to keep spending money hand over foot because if they stop the bubble will pop. That’s why they build these ghost cities & why they have to cut the power off to cities during the day, But they’re a world power!🤣🤯
Nowadays, we see the military bases all over the world become a burden for the USA. The major problem is the two military giants China and Russia start to cooperate. Each one focuses on one direction and the USA cannot afford simultaneous conflicts. The current situation in the middle east has shown that the USA's power is limited. When the USA focuses on Israel, Ukraine will be in trouble. China has the right to start a third conflict, and US more military bases will be in danger.
I'm from Serbia and I can confirm that China already invested and built serval important infrastructure from highways, bridges, railways and energy and what they are doing exactly? They give to the country loan with low interest rates and grace periods up to 20-30 years, but only condition is that has to build Chinese company with Chinese workers and when they finish one project they are moving on to the other and so on and so on. They are returning big amounts of money right away because their government ruled companies are making profits. More stable country is they give greater period of delayed payment, and if they not return they will take control of the project for long time. Why Serbia? Nato can f this trillion dollar plan when every they like cuaseing a economic crash remember the real worl is not friendly USA invaded Middle East and took the oil and nobody could do anything about it
To be honest China’s doing pretty much the same thing except they are not causing havoc whilst doing it. They are putting counties in debt knowingly. Half these countries that borrow from China will not be able to pay back and so China will end up controlling them and god knows what they will impose on them.
You're absolutely right, Drop Down. What China leaves these poor countries is a Chinese military harbour base they don't own, because they couldn't pay for it. They will come to really regret these mistakes one day soon.
Eric Xu Compare both nations and their wars, these past 50yrs... The global human cost and how many nations each has destroyed... Nazis literally marched the streets of America and we were all introduced to their supremacist habits, with their sitting leader defending them. So the argument about them having a hand in defeating Hitler falls apart. You should also follow their politics and learn just how much they hate The UN. America is nothing it was 100 yrs ago. It's become a very real global threat.
Ad-Sartorius : did you not pay attention to the vid? Yeah China is trading BUT she knows that certain countries can’t pay back the loans China gives and so China asks for control of their ports militarily and so creating an empire by stealth. We in the U.K. did something vaguely similar in the industrial revolution except it wasn’t exactly stealthy but we used trade and the control of the seas to build an empire-this isn’t exactly the same for sure (it’s not possible to be the same in this day and age) but don’t be lured into thinking this is a trade only situation
There is much more to this then trade. The United States maintains such an influence due to their ability to launch a big attack anywhere around the world with the least discomfort, look at the number of military bases they have around the world. Britain did something similar during its days. Don't think those ports are just for trade. The one in Djibouti is a Naval Base. China wants to control the trade channel and the military might. If you see those locations you will see. Its not that hard to decode.
Miles Weinberg You mean the US is still reaping the profits today from actions done 100 years ago. Also, China does this with the approval of the host country, not intimidate and coerce them like the US did.
China is undergoing a psuedo-guilded-imperialism age, so where we were about a century ago. They’re gaining a lot of economic development but it will still take a while for them to catch up, as it was for us back then

Devilion901 Good construction workers do not grow on trees you know? You first build infrastructures, then you boost the economy, then you have better education, then you have good workers. I doubt the Chinese government would be unhappy with a new wave of migrant workers coming into their country (although the people might have a problem with it). Unlike the US and European countries, China recognizes that workers can work for them, and in doing so boost their economy even further. Also, 你们最好开始学习中文吧!
The problem is not the project itself. It's the fact that: 1. China's giving out loans to other countries ( mainly weak economies); and when they can't pay, they're building military bases and taking over whatever they've built. Take Hambantota in Sri Lanka as an example. 2. Why are they using Chinese labour when they can use the local labor and give the contracts to local companies thus boosting that country's infrastructure sector?
Chinese people are smart very proactive , and let me elaborate one thing , we’re been run by capitalism and bloodshed for sake of money , at least China isn’t doing that they are tough worker .

I have just visited Sri Lanka. To share some of my experience: The road between Colombo and central Sri Lanka (lion rock, elephant orphanage) takes us 5 hours to drive for only 150 kilometers. But if go with highway, which China is helping Sri Lanka to build (from Colombo to Kandy) will only take 1.5 hour. Can you imagine how much it can boost the efficiency and stimulate the logistics as well as tourism in the country? The port in Hambantota can largely stimulate the local economy via the enhancement of employment as well as building economic zones for port processing business. With easy transportation and better infrastructure, the country can loop in a positive ring. As far as the people I talked there, they all appreciated the investments China made in the country and very polite and friendly to Chinese even during a very difficult time. By the way, this VOX video is quite subjective, it pointed out the benefit as well as the potential risks of the BRI.

Pretty much. Soft power is the wave of the future, use of military force is much less cost effective. At this point 'hard power' is really only useful as a domestic tool and wealth redistribution. Its utility in international relations is increasingly small.

No one thinks that the one belt one road Initiative will succeed. Many people call it a debt trap. But last year there were already 12,400 China-Europe express trains linking the economies between Europe and Asia through the Belt and Road Initiative.
In my country Greece they came and asked to buy our biggest port (piraeus) near Athens. At first Greece didn't sell it, but the next year when the goverment relized that Europeans will ask to sell it on lower price to Europe, they sold 51% of it for a lot of money to China. Its one of the biggest ports of Europe. Chinese knew when to "hit" and took it. Also China currently speaking with Greece and Serbia to create a waterway linking the Mediterranean Sea via the Axios River in Thessaloniki, to the Danube and the existing river transport network in Europe and the Black Sea. Really enormous project. I can't imagine what is happening in Asia if they want to build these projects in Balkans
Its was a normal market behavior since there is no way for them to lose money from this port, the others didn't bet much because they thought that since Greece is in a tough spot, they could take it for nothing and now they are all crying about the Chinese intrusion in their markets. As i said before, China knew where to hit, they gave only 400mil for the port and they have to invest 350mil to upgrade the port over the next decade.
Well Greece is one of the world's largest merchant countries with fleets along with Japan even if they operated under different flags. Nearly 18% of all global trade. So Greek tycoons have also give way more back to China by China building their merchant ships. So it's not like China was dumb they knew who controls the sea's and also Greece's ports were already good to begin with. It's a win-win for both.
Honestly, who can blame them? It really is a win win for both sides, be it that it will be more long term for China. I'm glad at least one nation is thinking long term these days. And a long term plan that doesn't seem too militarily either. Good for them.

And what the US and Europe refused to do.

To me it’s a foregone conclusion that China will control many trade routes in 10-20yrs time and she will have a tremendous amount of “soft” power influence as well as the military hardware to back it up

although, while Vox is at it, I'd also appreciate a video on how they've been bribing foreign politicians into supporting Chinese positions, atrocious human rights records, the fact China has an emperor again in all but name (once his new 12 point plan goes ahead -next few months.) China has also been ramping up their military and has also gotten several of the countries here, economically indebted to them, which they then take in return for favors, not just ports. they may be going about world domination 'peacefully'. once this project is completed, America could seriously have its world dominance threatened by China, and China might take the place of the world hegemony. depending on how America reacts, it could go cold war 2.0, or a new version of the start of the 20th century, with both competing against each other like the French and the German empires. if America loses in either situations, then we could very well be looking at china replacing america within a century or two (at most). which is no doubt their plan. it'll be intresting to see how a communist government will finally deal with the reality of having the world in its hands.

I love America but I am scared for our country. I am constantly hearing about how other countries are looking towards the future. Here, we are trying to bring back "clean coal." America has lost its identity.

The British government isn't even pro british.
I understand China has its own issues, but this doesn't change the fact that China grow from a very poor country to the second largest economy in 60 years. Trading with China definitely will create opportunities and wealths for the people. Comparing to what the US did of building military bases in other counties, building ports for trade is far better.

I prefer development of the private sector and I absolutely do not want the type of omnipresent and totalitarian government that goes along with the Chinese model of growth.

china is the Third biggest arms exporter in the world. so yeah... also heard of Tibet? the US is a girl scout compared to Chinese human rights abuse
Tibet would disagree.
Teethgrinder 83 here in Phl they gave us a loan package with 15% interest while Japan is only .5 % but our president is so enamored with China..
Didn´t the US do the same with the Panama Canal and some other countries in the world?
Miles Weinberg You mean the US is still reaping the profits today from actions done 100 years ago. Also, China does this with the approval of the host country, not intimidate and coerce them like the US did.
Even Panama Canal is serviced and upgraded by China.
China is undergoing a psuedo-guilded-imperialism age, so where we were about a century ago. They’re gaining a lot of economic development but it will still take a while for them to catch up, as it was for us back then

Not schools but private private academies. And not a bad idea since we will doing most of our trade with them and they are our neighbor too. Compulsory english needs to be dripped from schools
We all black Indian are leaning Mandarin now in order to serve and work for white Chinese people better in the near future.

Remember, its only colonialism when white people do it!
Meanwhile usa is busy bragging about how big their military is😂
And china is focusing on growing only
Because usa is a super power they're already the most powerful nation in the world and has soldiers and allies in all the continents. While china is still just a world power and not a super power so they're more focused on growing and gaining power.

And whats the Interest rate your government is paying back ? are there Chinese workers or locals working on that project ?
Devilion901 Good construction workers do not grow on trees you know? You first build infrastructures, then you boost the economy, then you have better education, then you have good workers. If the local workers meet the requirement then of course they will be working on the projects. Otherwise build you railroad first.

your comment is accurate
No...we just got tired of running...so we built a car. Work smart not hard young man.

Exactly!

Face it, the US businesses bury tech like the electric car and Tonya Harding anybody who threatens their cushy oil centric dominance. You're not being smart, you get complacent. You don't invest in yourselves.
I better start learning Mandarin then
Truee!
I doubt the Chinese government would be unhappy with a new wave of migrant workers coming into their country (although the people might have a problem with it). Unlike the US and European countries, China recognizes that workers can work for them, and in doing so boost their economy even further. Also, 你们最好开始学习中文吧!

World: I wonder what’s America doing so far in 2021.
America: I’m in Fortnite Morty.
The problem is not the project itself. It's the fact that:
1. China's giving out loans to other countries ( mainly weak economies); and when they can't pay, they're building military bases and taking over whatever they've built. Take Hambantota in Sri Lanka as an example.
2. Why are they using Chinese labour when they can use the local labor and give the contracts to local companies thus boosting that country's infrastructure sector?
absolutely right

Chinese people are smart very proactive , and let me elaborate one thing , we’re been run by capitalism and bloodshed for sake of money , at least China isn’t doing that they are tough worker .

if the country cant pay china

that's the time they will control its sovereignity to become slaves
Chinese Corona virus : This is also a part of Chinese ambition. Major city of China are still unaffected. while they smartly exported the virus to other countries to bring down the economy and than get a grip on the world economy.
while China build roads and bridges, US build wall..
Great example!
Cause china already has a wall
And China has absolutely no civil rights
And then china will use those ports as naval bases 😂

China: We're gonna expand our economic connections to the world
USA: na na na na na na. We own the world. Don't do that, or else
Back Nforth actually now usa dosent most of the world is against us and china is now main country in whole asia as china is helping alot of countries while us just brings destruction to countries it "helps".
I have just visited Sri Lanka. To share some of my experience:
The road between Colombo and central Sri Lanka (lion rock, elephant orphanage) takes us 5 hours to drive for only 150 kilometers.

+Danil it doesnt have to be justified
Yeah and who has been the guarantor of international trade routes these past few decades? USA. Is that the Chinese regimes intent? I don't think so.

China - Belt and road initiative
How is going CPEC?? Hope your debt isn't trying to bury your country under the land
No one thinks that the one belt one road Initiative will succeed. Many people call it a debt trap. But last year there were already 12,400 China-Europe express trains linking the economies between Europe and Asia through the Belt and Road Initiative.
Don't worry guys, we have a reality tv star to help us solve the problem.

ohhh LOOOOOLLL
Thessaloz George Greece is a part of China, no doubt about it.
"part of China"? no, they just bought their way through for trade routes. Germany own a lot more things in Greece than China.
ignore the guy, he is a troll. I am a researcher in port economics, and Im quite surprised by the throughput increase since Chinese bought Piraeus.
Ultimate lol go check out China uncensored ,I don't think you will want China to gain so much influence after checking them out.

You do realize that China is making military bases on man-made islands in disputed waters for the sake of extending their territorial claim? They also have territory disputes with India and China claims to have sovereignty over islands recognized as belonging to Japan. Or do you only choose to look at China through bullshit-tinted glasses?
China is a cancer .
