This video has been up here nine years! How can I be the first one to comment, even after 2.6K views and thirty-two likes. What an amazing invention! Thanks for the video and excellent description notes! I didn’t know there was a Hiller Museum.
Thank you! If you are coming to the San Francisco Bay area, The Hiller museum is off of 101, half-way between SF and San Jose. It's a small museum but has an interesting collection of aircraft.
@@MultiBrowsers Will do! It’s on my list once I cross the Atlantic 😉
Did you also watch that reel by a page “not what you think” ?
@@miruzairulhaq Yes, but no attribution to the Hiller museum. Did you also notice the Hiller aircraft he quoted is not listed on the Wikipedia page? I did find this though: “Hiller XROE-1 Rotorcycle - History and technical description”
I know this is a weird algorithm to be getting this video just now. I’m thinking this made sense to some folks back in the 50’s with the vision of a helicopter in every garage but I couldn’t imagine doing my own CSAR with this thing. Fighter cover or no fighter cover. 😮
Technology which was used in warfare then, was way ahead with the time.
like to know how many pilots got saved?
