The simplicity of how these are constructed are mind boggling. The craftsmanship takes it to the next level.
0:39 I saw your black hair and I wondered who I was watching … then I realized I was looking at your hat, not your hair! Gave me a smile, for sure!!
I am really enjoying all of these beautiful joints, thank you for teaching them to us!
Exquisite! It's always a joy and a privilege to watch the master demonstrate the art. 🙏
When time is not an issue
what if I have to connect 15-20 ft beams 2.5 meters above floor? I don't think this will translate well, will it?
Sepertinya masih ada satu sisi yang kosong pak
I could watch this for hours. But for quite some time now I am wondering: the tool used at 0:29 what kind of tool is that? What is its purpose?
Hello! It’s called a marking gauge. You set the length of your cut, run the gauge along where you need to make your cuts and the pin* scratches your cut lines for you. Carpenters and furniture makers used these gauges to mark consistent measurements. Marking gauges can also take the guesswork out of marking stock for a mortise and a tenon cut. A lot of woodworking hobbyists are starting to use marking gauges again because of their simple accuracy, along with the increased interest in the use of hand tools. Search UA-cam for “How to use a marking gauge”; once you watch a couple of videos then the tool and its use will make more sense to you. I hope this helps. Have a great day!
*Some gauges use a blade or a pencil to mark your lines. You will also find that marking gauges are made out of wood or metal, and the head is either square or round.
@@Trapper_Creek_2024 thank you a lot for the elaborate explanation! 😊
