Hi, me and couple of my friends are starting a branding and social media marketing company called The Striving Forward. We are just beginning, but although we're all still studying and don't have any business or economics degree, I'm sure that we have enough will, determination and excitement to make it! Our business idea is based on creating graphic designs for brand recognition, making experiments on social media, learning about it and sharing the knowledge with entrepreneurs and we will be offering both learning opportunities, free content for doing that and also services as video editing, graphic design and social media management. Hi Marina! I am so glad that you mentioned in the video that it is not necessary to have a degree in economics or business to start your own company. I have been thinking about starting my own company for a long time but I don't have any business education. I am currently doing my master's in Special Education in the USA which i truly love. My long-term goal is to open online platform/services where I will be able to provide trainings/support/materials for parents/teachers and professionals who work with kids with special needs back home in Kazakhstan and all other Russian speaking countries. This area is not well developed in my home country and parents and teachers really struggle to support and promote the development of kids who have autism, behavioral disorders and other disabilities. While here, in the USA, this area is well developed and a lot of rigorous research is conducted in the field. This is my goal for the next 2 years. For now, I decided to start providing online consultation for students who want to study in the USA for free and I got some ideas from watching your videos and reading your books. Thank you so much! After listening to your story, I realized that I do have knowledge and experience to share with people as I have studied at University of Minnesota through UGRAD program, currently I am studying at University of Missouri through Fulbright program and I was admitted to 3 universities in the USA with full funding to pursue my Ph.D in the field. I decided to provide consultation to individuals who want to study in the USA for free and need some help and guidance with application forms, CVs, motivational letters and etc. I don't charge a lot and I already have some clients with whom I work, they are my followers who asked me a lot of questions about Fulbright program and now decided to get more intense support from me. Marina, that's such a great idea! Thanks for this chance. In a few months I'm launching a project (CVipe) that would help students and young graduates connect with hr specialists from the desired industries and companies and make the whole employment process easier and more transparent. There are 2 main products: how-to guides and online consultations. How-to guides include full description of the main criteria of successful screening for every particular industry. Hence every potential candidate could create an effective strategy: which courses to take, which internship to choose, etc. Online consultations will make these strategies even more efficient as students can receive recommendations for their particular background. Furthermore this project solves quite an urge problem of overbranding. The majority of career sites nowadays promote a small bunch of industries and employers, which forms quite a narrow vision of career possibilities among young specialists. Our goal is to cover as many industries as possible so that anyone could find an industry to his taste. P.S. Our website is under construction and is yet rather ridiculous :)

The video contained so much information which I got extremely excited with that I’ve rewatched it like 5 times 😱 Truly, you motivate me to go further with every video coming on your channels! Regarding the business ideas, I actually have 2 of them😄 1. The UA-cam channel. Basically, I want to share my most important life experiences with people, so that they can learn from it as well. The experiences vary so much though! It could be my job experiences, tests that I’ve taken (like the toefl, or the tests inside different unis), books that have changed my life, different food I learned to cook from people all around the world, life in some of the world’s biggest cities (by the age of 20 I’ve already lived in 4 of them!), how I learned different languages fluent, situations that changed my life perspective and there’s so much to it! That is basically what a lot of successful youtubers do like you! But I want to show it in my own way that might gain people from different fields of interest in one place. 2. My 2nd idea is an Instagram shop. I love arts myself and I face difficulties finding a piece of art that would best suit my house. The idea is to concentrate some of the most relevant art pieces done by unknown artists in one place. Moreover, the shop may contain different kinds of art pieces - paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, unique products.
My idea is to create a platform that help adults to change their behaviour of acting with kids. This platform will share infos about each ages group and which activities can help kids in their own education in a way that they can build their own business using fresh creativity that they have and motivate other kids and adults to break their fear.

I am a long time business owner. So far I've had million of business ideas and I've only implemented the worst business ideas in real life (I've had 2 businesses that are making money but have zero chance to be scaled out). I am successful at what I do, but I also invest so much of my time and energy and I don't have much of "myself" left a the end of the day or spend time with my children and family. So... one my business ideas is to create a business where I can work + spend time with my family & be focused on family fun and well being. The idea of this business is where the children and parents are actively engaged TOGETHER (sports, outdoor challenges, etc.). I mean everyone participates. Watching your kid play baseball is not part of my business plan. Playing baseball or soccer or dancing together with your children - this is what I mean! Hey, Marina if this idea appeals to you, please feature it!

Hi, firstly thank you for sharing your tips! They are very insightful and motivating. I do tend to get stuck in the analysis paralysis trap quite a bit. Your tips will really help! I have been toying with the idea of starting a consultation service on how to transition into a more plant based diet. We (me and my family) made the switch a couple of years back and went through quite a few initial hiccups. Since then we have come a long way! For those who struggle and tend to give up, or don’t know how to go about it, I want to be able to help them overcome the road blocks and create a plan which works for them! Hi Marina! I am so glad that you mentioned in the video that it is not necessary to have a degree in economics or business to start your own company. I have been thinking about starting my own company for a long time but I don't have any business education. I am currently doing my master's in Special Education in the USA which i truly love. My long-term goal is to open online platform/services where I will be able to provide trainings/support/materials for parents/teachers and professionals who work with kids with special needs back home in Kazakhstan and all other Russian speaking countries. This area is not well developed in my home country and parents and teachers really struggle to support and promote the development of kids who have autism, behavioral disorders and other disabilities. While here, in the USA, this area is well developed and a lot of rigorous research is conducted in the field. This is my goal for the next 2 years.
For now, I decided to start providing online consultation for students who want to study in the USA for free and I got some ideas from watching your videos and reading your books. Thank you so much! After listening to your story, I realized that I do have knowledge and experience to share with people as I have studied at University of Minnesota through UGRAD program, currently I am studying at University of Missouri through Fulbright program and I was admitted to 3 universities in the USA with full funding to pursue my Ph.D in the field. In a few months I'm launching a project (CVipe) that would help students and young graduates connect with hr specialists from the desired industries and companies and make the whole employment process easier and more transparent.
There are 2 main products: how-to guides and online consultations.
How-to guides include full description of the main criteria of successful screening for every particular industry. Hence every potential candidate could create an effective strategy: which courses to take, which internship to choose, etc.
Online consultations will make these strategies even more efficient as students can receive recommendations for their particular background.
Furthermore this project solves quite an urge problem of overbranding. The majority of career sites nowadays promote a small bunch of industries and employers, which forms quite a narrow vision of career possibilities among young specialists. Our goal is to cover as many industries as possible so that anyone could find an industry to his taste.
P.S. Our website is under construction and is yet rather ridiculous :)

Regarding the business ideas, I actually have 2 of them😄
1. The UA-cam channel.
Basically, I want to share my most important life experiences with people, so that they can learn from it as well. The experiences vary so much though! It could be my job experiences, tests that I’ve taken (like the toefl, or the tests inside different unis), books that have changed my life, different food I learned to cook from people all around the world, life in some of the world’s biggest cities (by the age of 20 I’ve already lived in 4 of them!), how I learned different languages fluent, situations that changed my life perspective and there’s so much to it! That is basically what a lot of successful youtubers do like you! But I want to show it in my own way that might gain people from different fields of interest in one place.
2. My 2nd idea is an Instagram shop. I love arts myself and I face difficulties finding a piece of art that would best suit my house. The idea is to concentrate some of the most relevant art pieces done by unknown artists in one place. Moreover, the shop may contain different kinds of art pieces - paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, unique products.
My idea is to create a platform that help adults to change their behaviour of acting with kids. This platform will share infos about each ages group and which activities can help kids in their own education in a way that they can build their own business using fresh creativity that they have and motivate other kids and adults to break their fear.

I am a long time business owner. So far I've had million of business ideas and I've only implemented the worst business ideas in real life (I've had 2 businesses that are making money but have zero chance to be scaled out). I am successful at what I do, but I also invest so much of my time and energy and I don't have much of "myself" left a the end of the day or spend time with my children and family. So... one my business ideas is to create a business where I can work + spend time with my family & be focused on family fun and well being. The idea of this business is where the children and parents are actively engaged TOGETHER (sports, outdoor challenges, etc.). I mean everyone participates. Watching your kid play baseball is not part of my business plan. Playing baseball or soccer or dancing together with your children - this is what I mean!
