If you watch this, you'd think the Celtics are the worst team that ever existed in the history in the NBA. JT had 36, Brown had one of the clutchest baskets I've ever seen, and the defensive plays were pivotal in swaying momentum. ESPN needs better writers.

Okay. Maybe I did not completely know what I was saying. This much is true: ESPN loves to talk about Lebron James and the Lakers and make the narratives about them. Last year, the Lakers were praised for nearly beating the Nuggets in Game 1 of the WCF, and the Celtics are criticized for not soundly beating the Pacers. If Lebron and the Lakers were a one seed and nearly lost in game 1 of the WCF, the Lakers probably would not be criticized at all.

How were they not prepared for the game when they were up 12 in the 1st, 10 in the 2nd, and 13 in the 3rd? I think what we learned last night is that the Pacers are resilient and won't back down from a double-digit deficit.
The media's coverage of the Celtics this postseason has been laughable, especially when you have a guy like Perk who was on a team that couldn't eliminate the Hawks and Cavs in less than 7 games in 2008.
Perk needs to be reminded his 08 Celtics 66 win squad were taken to back to back game 7s to weaker teams and still won the title. I dont understand how Mr. 2.8 pts per game if that could talk ish

The hate for the Celtics is real. 9-2 in the playoffs. Perk played on a team that was the number 1 seed(Celtics) and was taken to game 7 by the 8th seed Hawks. Tatum has literally had big SERIES and eliminated Giannis, KD, Kyrie, Harden, Jimmy in the past few years and literally dropped 51 against Philly to eliminate them last year. Ant has accomplished ZERO in the league and they are pushing him as the “the face”. It’s pure propaganda. ESPN's been given a script to attack the Celtics to add more outside noise and pressure, so that they crumble in the Finals. That won't happen this year. The only team that had the potential to beat us is now in Cancun. Timberwolves and Mavericks will make the Finals competitive but they will not beat the Celtics.

This reminds me of, "The Nuggets let the Lakers figure some things out!" How clutch the Celtics really are remains to be seen, but the Nuggets last year played four close, uncomfortable games with the Lakers, and all of them were wins. If Joe Mazzulla is competent and hears about this, he will use this criticism as motivation for his team the same way Michael Malone did.

Pacers made big shots. They are one of the best offenses in the entire league. It's like these morons expect every game to be a blowout.
This was a great game, with a great finish. It was close for most of the game and each team was punching back and forth down to the very end. As it should be for an ECF.
Hold teams to less points? Last 3 games of Cavs series. Tatum to play excellent? Last 4 games. I swear people go brain dead when talking about this team.

Not thrilled with Cs play but Pacers played great (7 players in double figures) and still lost. Credit the Celtics. Ugly wins matter.. and they count the same as blowouts

Richard is the first national media person to point out it was too late for Siakam to foul on that shot. Nice to see at least one person gets it. Yes they could have switched (but didnt), yes a lot of things went wrong, but once all those things had happened, it was too late to foul in the act of shooting and give up a potential 4 point play.

I don’t think Perk understands that at the highest levels of basketball, great offense often trumps great defense. And the Pacers this season had the 2nd best offense in THE HISTORY of the NBA! No defense is going to hold that team to under 100 points every night. But in crunch time and in OT the Cs stepped up their defense and locked them up.
I’ll keep it simple: Boston put up 133 in a very subpar performance in a game that not only should they have lost but it shouldn’t of got to OT in the 1st place

I recently made my bets involving the Pacers. On Bovada, there’s a bet, if TWolves beats the Pacers, it’s +2200. If Mavs beats the Pacers, it’s the +3300. Now I’m still taking a risk that if Pacers do win the chip, I will lose my bet. I put $30 on my account to try to hit over $400 each.
That’s how much doubt I have with these Boston Leprechauns who can’t protect the paint. Then we’ve seen smaller teams like Miami beat them. Boston has lost 4x in the ECF against lower seeded teams. That’s pathetic. They lost to a 4th seed, 5th seed, and 8th seed since 2018. Care to lose to a 6th seed next?
I so badly hate the Lakers and I want the Celtics to surpass them in titles getting to No. 18. But every single time I try to believe in this franchise, they frickin’ blow it. Same old Clippers. I just finished listening to The Last Dance. I stopped at the middle of Episode VII yesterday. Now that Bulls dynasty was a real dynasty. They didn’t go out trying to star chase in the summers like what LeBron’s teams enjoy doing. They kept the same coach all those years. MJ didn’t look for excuses. He didn’t really need them because he won every Finals series he was in.
The Last Dance was the last dance of the Golden Age of the NBA. I didn’t care for that Lakers’ threepeat. If HBO Max created a show on the book, Three-Ring Circus which involves Shaq, Kobe, and Phil, I wouldn’t care to watch it. I do miss Kobe as a person but I hate the effing Lakers. I hated how lucky they got in 2000 Game 7 against Portland and 2002 Game 6 against Sac.
I watched Winning Time but watching something set in 1979 and the 1980s was more interesting. I already know all that crap from the 2000-2004 Lakers. Plus, anything involving Kobe is a sore topic. We think of his death and that’s all we can think about. It’s like covering Bruce Lee or one of those dead rock stars. Or Princess Diana or JFK.
Remember those 1-on-1 CGI claymation videos from Bleacher Report on UA-cam? Why no episode around Kobe? Because he died. It’s a sore subject where he’s saying jokes knowing what happened to him. They did one for Wilt but Wilt didn’t die as tragically as Kobe. I never put Kobe among my top 10 favorites and it’s not because I hated him as a person. His death still hurts me to this day. It’s because I hate the Lakers and nothing more.
Between MJ vs. Kobe vs. LeBron, MJ is the GOAT but I could be friends with Kobe and LeBron more being we are closer in age. It’s like Godzilla vs. Kong. Godzilla is more awesome. He looks cooler. Has cooler toys to collect. He’s more powerful. But I’m picking Kong because I feel I can be friends with him and he has more personality in his stories than Godzilla does.

Chiney is RIGHT! #Mazzulla is playing the #NBA playoffs game of adjustments. Play your style and see what they do, then you know your adjustments. To me the Celtics decreased their effort in regulation after 2nd quarter then only ramp it up back late after Indi did not want to take the freebie. However, the Pacers did gave max effort and still lost. Celtics can and most likely shall actually have a better offensive game moving forward especially in shooting while keeping feet on gas on defense. I want to see those results of that type of game.

Mental fatigue caught up with the Pacers including coaching staff, in the end-game minutes. Blame the 7 gruelling games with the Knicks. And I agree, Celtics defense sucked and Joe doesnt adjust at once. The Pacers were attacking and scoring on Horford and the drop coverage at will.
Celtics didn't know their opponent until Sunday evening, 5 days to prep isn't valid. Knicks and Pacers are totally different type of team. But yet lack of coaching really hurt them. But yesterday Joe did a better job in calling timeout and setting up the game tying shot. First time I saw this season that they have a set play. But still Cs keeps failing to live up to expectation. Hopefully KP comes back and help. Win is a win, most of the team would have lost. The defend has to be better.
