Great to see you guys back since the last vid. The Rover still looks new after many kilometers and I'm hoping the interior is holding up as well. Agree about the heat and humidity in FNQ and I live in Brissie, wouldn't want to be in FNQ in the summer. Loved how you didn't sugarcoat anything and kept it real. Cheers and stay safe.
Riley is still looking shmick, thanks for the love 👀 big agree there, it’s safe to say we learnt our lesson big time… us kiwis thought “surely it’s not that hot” when our usual summer temp is 25degrees. Can say we will not do that again 🤪
oooiiiii, wen comes to tires you should check the day of manufacture on these tires and discarded if they are older then 5 years specially when your defender is laden a lot of weight compare to NZ here in Australia the distances are way larger and the temperatures are very epic what affect everything in a very different way, is ok to feel home sick you are just 2 young ppl who just left home and became immigrants in a new country what is very brave, I did move to Australia wen i was very young too, I can relate of how hard this can be
Big agree here 👌 the heat is very different in comparison to back in NZ. The things you only truly grasp when you’re here I guess! It is a big step going to a new country no matter where you came from, so thank you for the love - good to hear someone else gets it! 🥰
@@rileytheroamer yeah the heat is insane, I did spend a year travelling across the WA and I tell ya the summers up north west is incredible insane you need to keep hydrated, and around the Arnthem land in the NT the humidity and rain storms are very epic, and beautiful, do you know in the north of the NT is one of the places where you can see some of the most mesmerising thundering & lighting in the whole world, is amazingly insane you have to check it out for sure You're very welcome, we are here to support one and other right, keep going with the channel please
@@janolopez7436 wow sounds like you have had some amazing adventures - despite Mother Nature doing her thing. ☔️⛱️ Aus truly is so beautiful and we can’t wait to head to those places you mentioned - eventually! But thanks so much for sharing the love, great to have you along - we will be keeping up with our channel!
@@rileytheroamer I had no AC in my defender for years in the NT, was mostly fine. Beaded seat covers from Supercheap autocan provide some relief for cheap.
In a 60 litre tank of diesel is just over 3 months of my total electrical energy with the air con going 24-7 in QLd. Do you think van life will stop being attractive because of the fossil fuels you use? A tank a week for a year is about 17 years of my electrical energy. This lifestyle can't continue not if we stop oil, do you have plans to stop?
But do you own a car, do you ever fly on a plane or use gas for any form of cooking or heating? There is so much more than your energy costs in regards to your carbon footprint so please don't be to quick to judge.
@@broccattley8919 What an absolutely ridiculous reply, the point is people have to eat, flying or driving not so much. I am well aware of my carbon budget and it's not about quick to judge, the message of having to drive less has been around 30 years.
Good to see the adventure has begun. Enjoy!
You bet 🙌 thanks a million for following along
Beautiful video guys

You certainly have covered a lot of kilometres since your last video and, the Defender is still looking extraordinary with that custom paint.
This is a comment we’re pumped to see 👀 we think Riley is in good shape too for her age! Thanks a bunch 👌
Wrap, not paint.

Cute Max !!! Looks like you made some awesome memories.. but crack up to me you spent so much money on that thing and no air bags and no ac..
But it made great UA-cam content though 🤷🏼♂️ haha we will be getting the aircon fixed (eventually)

Don't need aircon in a Defender.
@@Just_Tom09 we will look into this 🫡 thanks for the tip.
Not exactly a van..
You’re right, it’s a home on wheels ✌🏽🤍
