- Meet Marvin,
He moved from the States to Ghana 3 years ago and has already had lots of highs and lows.
He went from having a huge contract deal to sleeping in his ambulance, surviving on 560 cedis a month to starting a very important business that saves lives.

Africa is not foreign to us caribbean folks. Our culture is connected
Exactly. I have visited Africa several times, we Caribbean folks fit right in. No cultural differences and adjustments. Foods are similar.
Yes indeed
Us Carrebean can adjust easy
African Americans find it harder to adjust
@@claudiavoorhoeve3258 You sound ridiculous! I've lived in East Africa and I currently live in Ghana all alone without any culture shock. West Indians kill me with this new found African pride. I have spent a significant amount of time in the Caribbean and I have also lived in a Caribbean neighborhood (East Flatbush) and homes (Jamaican, Trini, Vincy) for the last 23 years. I've heard a lot of anti Africa sentiments. Please let's not go there.
@@sherriebumbray1748 Yes, there is also anti Africa sentiments in the Caribbean and in Black America mainly because of the negative images that are portrait of Africa by the global media which is controlled mainly by Europeans. Now with UA-cam and other social media platform; Africans (globally) are not able to show the positives of African countries and is changing the negative view of Africa held by some Caribbean people, Black Americans, and other Africans who are living outside of Africa .
I am African and agree there was no need to reference African Americans. However at a macro level Caribbean countries are at about the same level economically with Africa so the lack of certain things which may be an issue for anyone from the first world would not be an issue from someone coming from say Jamaica.
As a Jamaican, raised in Georgetown Washington DC, I met my first girlfriend now my wife here in DC, also from Ghana, we visited Ghana for 5 times. We are building very beautiful 18 apartments in Aburi mountains for rent. We are planning to move to Ghana December to stay. Thank you so much for sharing. Please try to link him to WODE MAYA, his channel also can help him.
That's lovely.. my hometown. I hope its going to be on AIRBNB
Wow 😲.good job.
Big up GT massive in Ghana. Yes, Guyana celebrates Ghana's independence, and we are very similar. I am Guyanese and loving anything Ghanian. My cousin, a Guyanese, lives in Tekoradi and is sharing so much with me.
Well you know my recent visit convinced me. I love Ghana. Don't agree with the bribery of law enforcement, but all else it is great place. I felt safe and its beautiful too. I could live there if I didn't already have my home here
GT in the building
This is so Beautiful 😍 from Guyana to Ghana 🇬🇭 💯🥰💪🏿🙏🏿✊🏿🙌🏿
This brother is magnificent and brilliant!
This man looks genuinely happy being in Ghana. Thanks Ghana, from Eswatini
Yes my brother. I am in a world of total bliss being back home.
My Mum is Guyanese 🇬🇾 👍
NGG (Natural Ghana Girl) your guest (Marvin) is delightful to listen to.
Those drinks look yummy!
They were lol
The energy and mindset Malvin brought to Ghana is exactly what we all need. It’s easy to give up in a system like ours..but he didn’t and remain steadfast. Much Respect Malvin. To you Natural Ghana Girl, keep doing what you doing, we are watching from a distance.
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
These are the kind of people who should come to Africa not those who quickly run back with the little challenge or setback, knowing that Africa will really challenge you but the end reward will be worth it. Wishing him all the best.
True!
Exactly!
True, not for the weak hearted who give up and make negative comments about Africa on their UA-cam channel
@@bolamassive7941, Well, said. The weak shall always run back to the plantation. That is the only thing they know.
This guy talking about how he needed to make USD while living in Ghana. For me that was the key from the moment I realized that I wanted to go to Africa. I hadn't even decided on Ghana, just somewhere in Africa. But I knew that I wasn't coming to Africa to find a job. So I set up everything before leaving. It took me a couple years.
This is a really great business idea. "Uber for ambulance" makes a huge amount of sense.
I respect this Man... Thanks for brining business to Ghana
Thank you kind sir. Just doing my part best I can because we all have our part to play in the liberation of mama Africa
I met this kat when I was walking in east legon one day. Proud of this brother! Keep up the great work!
Enjoyed this vid Dela. Marvin has the African spirit to make it in the motherland. Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago.
😊
I Love when he said the women want you to be a father... They don't take away the children from you. I'm glad I have a Ghanaian Wife...
Marvin needs to be employed by the health ministry.
My favorite historian is Prof. Walter Rodney of Guyana. I read his book “how Europe underdeveloped Africa”during my final year in Legon and it was eye opening. My perspective changed from the day I finished reading the book. I recommend that book to everyone.
Jim I will definitely add this one to my library. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant book. We need to encourage each other to read more 🙌🏾
Yh interesting
We africain have to rebuild Africa with good systems for our people with our experience from the western world no one will do it for African I love your good spirit of our brother many are saying Africa is bad and running how well change like for black people if not black man god bless you 🙏👏👏👏
Very wholesome interview. The fact that he had to explain what submissive means is just... I don't even know which word to use. Too many people have the wrong idea of what submissive means. It's good that he clarified but he really shouldn't have had to. He was so excited about bringing his family full circle to Africa. He made me excited and I haven't yet visited.
He redefined "submissive" to suit his story, how clever of him.
@Afriyie Ababio How do you sap a word of its meaning and use it to mean a different thing? If that is the case then words have no meaning
@@nobs997 You sound bitter and hurt. Seek therapy ASAP.
Guyana to GHANA 🇬🇭🙋🏾♂️ one family
IEveryone that comes to Ghana is welcomed
I love his positive energy and vibe. Well done Marvin. Super happy for his blessings.
Guyana in the house without a doubt!

This interview was lit. Great job Dela.
Thank you 😊
Marvin is a great soul. God bless you
There’s a ton of “real” in this video. Thank you for the gems.
No links for Marvin. Please add. Good life story/Africa. I thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated his tips, humility and experience. Sooo appreciated that he shared how he used his experience and skills to create a business for himself that connects people to services. 😊
Please checked the pinned comment at the top
Love Marvin’s energy
Marvin's platform concept seems very great and a well-thought-through approach to solving one of the bottlenecks in health delivery in many places, especially in Africa. A great undertaking!
Beautiful Della you know what? This man has a very positive energy...I understand why he feels so happy in his new home Ghana...cwry beautiful.
Brilliant business idea and strategy brother! Great interview sister! We are bringing our ideas, some capital, resources and skills to develop our HOME! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
When I was a child in hot tropical Jamaica, my grandmother would sieved the flour to isolate and discard any bugs etc. The cooks also "pick the rice" that is carefully examine each handful and discard bugs and bad rice grains.
My friend wants to move here from the states.. and she was asking about health care jobs so thanks for this
I love his determination ❤ I just downloaded the app. Cool service!
We need more our brothers and sisters going back to Africa opening business rather then foringers from Asia or Europe
Forever , l pray that you see your great great grandchildren together ❤️
Excellent interview👌great content
The weebles in the flour and rice is because of the heat. I have never seen them in New York, but they are prevalent in the Caribbean. Marvin is such a joy. I love his enthusiasm. May God continue to favor him in all he does.
First off, the video quality on this video is *CRISP* Love it!!! And I love Marvin's story as well! Big ups for taking the bold step brother!
Love seeing stories like this! Love the work he is doing with his app to benefit Ghana's healthcare system.
So nice to hear this story of a happy return to the homeland! Really great summary of the changes experienced in the return. Love it.
Great interview very inspirational.
Please stop call our brother and sister foreigners. I love your channel
Amazing interview! I love Marvin’s energy and his steely determination to make it in Ghana. Eventually things worked out and he’s providing a valuable service. That’s the kind of mindset you need when relocating to Ghana.
Great! interview with Marvin. Loved his story especially that he never gave up on Ghana.....BRAVO MARVIN!
Please share his UA-cam channel and Ghana TV channel.
THANKU
I’ve just pinned it 😊
Gwen.. No retreat, No surrender.
OMG I sat at that exact table with my hubby in March 2022 lol
WONDERFUL and wholesome interview!!
So happy for my brother. He got the fire and fighting spirit. What a legend 🔥🔥

His story gives me hope. Thanks for sharing this interview with us Dela

This interview was just awesome!👌🏽
Thank you
Great interview!!! What an amazing view! Could that location be Jerk Soul??
Let me think about it 🤔 Yes!!!! Lol As always your spot is amazing!
Dela, this is one of the best interviews you've ever granted. Dude is great!
Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏👏you stick it out and the sky is your beginning 👏👏👏👍❤️❤️❤️
Interesting conversation, love it.
🎉MalikaiAir we in Barbados can't wait to visit our Ghanaian and other African brothers and sisters. Great interview Dela and Karen. ❤
That’s what I call a COVID blessing!
He talks about things I’ve wondering should I one day convince my kids to move to Ghana with me. Taking dating and marriage culture from the US to other countries seems hazardous. He seemed to handle it gracefully in spite of the slip up.
Thank you for sharing all of this great information. You are appreciated.🌷
Fantastic achievement and inspiration for development in Africa Ghana 👍👏🤓🌟🤴🎁💝💯
I love this conversation. The energy, education, location setting and video quality et al.
This guy’s idea is smart! 👏🏿
V insightful & interesting interview. 👏🏽 We need more professionals with foresight like Marvin. I really like how he's empowering the nurses and others to own their profession. Wonder if at some point, he'd consider offering practice learning/placements for community nursing students?🤔. Collaboration with the colleges/universities might be a step in the right direction. His approach is more practical, experiential & factuallly, 21st C health care!. Big ups to you Mr!!🤛🏾🤜🏽 Long may your ideas flow!!😇🙏🏾
Great story and great interview. I’m glad some people still respect marriage and it’s not all about Money money money but a mutual respect especially as an institution of God !
Awesome interview. I love the view from Jerk Soul. Marvin's energy is everything. I've met him a couple of times.
Very insightful interview thank you for sharing.
Amazing
May God bless the future of Ghana 🇬🇭
It wasn't Covid that get him straight, it was the fact that he was ready when he got the call. They were like, we need these services, and he said, yeah I got those services right here. Let's get it!
Very true my brother, success happens when preparation meets opportunity.
Great guy... Enjoyed the interview. Love the concept behind his App..A problem solver as it is needed.
Amazing personality and very inspiring interview 👏 🙌 ✨️. Thank you both
I don't mean to come across as a pedantic, in Ghana a suitor pays a bride price not dowry.
Thanks for your understanding.
Bride price, dowry = same difference? Also worth noting that Ghana has lots of tribes, religions and cultures, so to try to generalise about the arrangements for marriage as if one style fits all is fallacious.
@@champion4000 Did you even understand my comment? Where did you read in my comment that one style fits all? Please go look up the definition of dowry and bride price, they are NOT same.
Good service
SALUTE, Dela ! ! Job well DONE, you hit it OUT DA PARK. 👉🏾✊🏾💪🏾✌🏾💯💯💯

Another great interview Dela, you are doing great !!
Thank you
Bless him
Wow, great healthcare business idea. Very needed due to the condition healthcare is in.
Nice!!! Entrepreneur solving problems!
Good work brother
Medase
Country age comparison doesn't wash. Malaysia and Singapore are prime examples, and they don't even have the natural resources Ghana has.
Yup you're right, just like Haiti and Liberia are the oldest black republics in the world yet have plenty poverty & under development.
Those are anomalies
Check out the political differences over the period.
Amazon defrauded him? The guy has a good sense of humor
good for him. i am glad he is succesful.
This is the SOURCE
That's deep
This guy just thought is the fundamentals to entrepreneurship
Lovely interview
