  • Meet Marvin,
He moved from the States to Ghana 3 years ago and has already had lots of highs and lows.
He went from having a huge contract deal to sleeping in his ambulance, surviving on 560 cedis a month to starting a very important business that saves lives.

@@claudiavoorhoeve3258 You sound ridiculous! I've lived in East Africa and I currently live in Ghana all alone without any culture shock. West Indians kill me with this new found African pride. I have spent a significant amount of time in the Caribbean and I have also lived in a Caribbean neighborhood (East Flatbush) and homes (Jamaican, Trini, Vincy) for the last 23 years. I've heard a lot of anti Africa sentiments. Please let's not go there.

@@sherriebumbray1748 Yes, there is also anti Africa sentiments in the Caribbean and in Black America mainly because of the negative images that are portrait of Africa by the global media which is controlled mainly by Europeans. Now with UA-cam and other social media platform; Africans (globally) are not able to show the positives of African countries and is changing the negative view of Africa held by some Caribbean people, Black Americans, and other Africans who are living outside of Africa .

I am African and agree there was no need to reference African Americans. However at a macro level Caribbean countries are at about the same level economically with Africa so the lack of certain things which may be an issue for anyone from the first world would not be an issue from someone coming from say Jamaica.
