What ya gotta buy is an Alfa giulia quad. Not seen them modded, vids on them daily driven etc… plus every car lover likes them and is interested in them.
I have a silver grey manual e46 m3 🙋🏻♂️ owned a long time now. It’s maturing well with age, I’m getting more and more comments recently from random people about it, which never really happed years ago.
I think you summed it up well Jamie, i think another issue is the M4 has been done massively on UA-cam and even younger people such as B7TMY, it didnt last long. Love to see what you get next, maybe a powerful estate?
Good on you for being honest enough to admit it's not quite working for you. Despite all the pros and the way it looks, many people need something more of a daily and less of a two door weapon. An estate version would be perfect! Lol
To get the true M car experience you need a coupe in my opinion. This differs with both Audi's S/RS class and also Merc's AMG - these have hatchbacks, saloons etc that you get get the true feel from. But to me the BMW M car has to be a coupe variant. The E46 & E92 would have given you peak M car but again being coupes would have had the same downfalls as this for your life. If you got a M3 of this generation or any other non coupe M car I feel like you would have been sat in it doing this video saying "it doesn't feel like a true M car" as opposed to now where you feel like it's a true M car but didn't suit your lifestyle. Pick your poison at the end of the day, I feel like you made the right choice for what you wanted... and that was to experience an M car.
Think with the M cars too many people have done them and they just get boring like the AMG there is loads of them on UA-cam and they will get boring soon

Should have got the M3 mate. I was going to go for the M4 to save a few grand....but I am sooooo glad I went M3. Awesome car and practical

You should get an Audi rs6 Avant would suit you perfectly and is a beast.
An Alfa Romeo giulia qv would be cool. Or an Evo/WRX STI would make for some good videos and being a 4 door saloon will still be practical

Personally my dream would be a jeep srt or a raptor
They are a nice looking car and great performance but for me audi just seems better like a a5 comes in both 2 and 5 door.
