One thing to take note of is the type of compound you use its best to verify if its Polishing compound or Buffing compound and is it 1000grit or fine polishing compound with those deep scratches at a minimum i wouldve used 1000 grit buffing compound then a ultra fine compound for that deeper black and mirror finish! Great video and excited for the future!
congratulations for your 260k followers , nice to meet your brother ! i really really want to start my channel SmpBuilds France, you and 79th prod are reals influencers for me !
I found your channel when looking for how to spruce up a trusty ol Corolla. Thank you--you gave me such great do-able and affordable ideas. Happy to hear your channel is growing with you brother. I loved the murdered out look on the Civic with PlastiDip. I really love that product--it has so many uses!
FYI the issue with the buffing was the compound you used. For headlights they use a more gentle polishing compound as end stage. They make more aggressive compounds with higher cutting power. But black is hard to polish anyway lol
If you were going to "paint" those trim pieces, you may as well just hit the badges while you were there. And frankly, I wouldn't have even bothered to buff it and used the money for the polisher/polish for something else, if this is just "your daily". Floor mats or seat covers, depending on the condition, etc. Just me though. Great job nonetheless.
Dont listen to the haters, they expect so much yet they click on a video with this title! Keep doing what youre doing, it helps people like me out a lot
U need a pretty agressive cutting compound and pad combination to get those scratches out of the trunk and then finish with a softer pad and finishing compound to get rid of the hazyness after cutting compound. In a perfect world u do the cutting with a rotary polisher and the finish with a da.
Icl this is a really poor video without substance. Nothing like the old videos which got me starting to watch you. This is a 13min video of nothing. We know how to wash a car, half of us know how to detail a car and I'm pretty sure all of us know how to put hub caps on. This isn't a transformation and for $100 you could have done more. If you're going to start a car please finish it. Most of the cars you're showing now are half finished. Like why couldn't you continue buffing the car properly? We didn't see much of it. Except that the swirls didn't want to come off on first try, why didn't you try again? Honestly it's quite poor and most of your videos are like that now. Do a job and complete it, don't do half the job.
As a detailing purist, i HATE the cheap buffer/drill/leftover headlight compound polish job with no clay bar or anything. but as a big-time cheapskate...
Day 10 of commenting until I can get you to make my 2001 Honda Civic so cool that Salma Hayek couldn’t resist to go out with me and once she does Ill ask her to bring a friend for you.
Just a thought here. If your goal was to actually improve a car, make sure it was reliable, or flip it for profit, wouldn't your $100 be better spent doing some actual maintenance-type work on the vehicle rather than these bullshit cosmetic mods? Who gives a shit about chrome black-out if the car has a suspension clunk, or if it needs new brake pads, or is running spark plugs with 100K miles on them? If you already have an orbital DA, polishing compount, and foam pads, then a paint correction isn't really going to cost anything extra and it will make the car look better. But I'm talking about a combination of cheap potential maintenance tasks that will help the car run better, drive better, and work reliably for longer like: 1. Brake Fluid Flush 2. Transmission Fluid drain and fill 3. Spark plug replacement 4. New Serpentine belt 5. Sway bar end links and/or bushings 6. New engine and cabin air filter 7. New thermostat 8. Power steering fluid flush 9. Coolant flush 10. Front tie rod ends
Typed all that out just to look like a dumb ass, his main focus was to make it LOOK better. Maybe rewatch the video with subtitles and half speed so you might be able to actually process what's going on 🤷♂️

Does it work in Canada?
Your brother is really good at filming!!!! Welcome!
I am an old school chrome dude, but the Murdered out look isn't bad on this Civic
@@RyansuBike you like chrome window trim? It’s higher quality that’s for sure. The rubber / plastic ones I have on my 2020 partially melted!

That car looks SO much better with the front & back chrome blacked out. Welcome to the Smpl Builds team Ethan!

Do a car show. Nj car community, would be awesome.
I love the honesty and realism with the trunk buff attempt👍
Bro is sick but still doing voiceovers. Mad respect for the work ethics.
Appreciate that! 🙌🏽 haha

Never had any issues polishing black paint. U just have to do a test spot with different combinations of compound and pads. Every paint is different.
@@TheTechnoaddict my cars are white and silver lol maybe I'm just spoiled with the easiest colors to correct
Nice camera work :) the civic cleaned up quite well
Simple but slick look!! Nice!!
I'm glad you kept the badges chrome.
Looking forward to you guys bringing back the subs builds and restorations 💪🏼
You and your big bro are gonna kick some a**!
Where’s the link to the bag of sponges and applicators?

The hubcaps look like they were taken off of an 8th gen civic, painted black and then sold 😂
Build a EK9 replica 🙏🏻✌🏼😊
I don’t use that much blue tape to mask, I use newspaper with the blue tape to hold it tho
Day 9 of commenting until I can get you to make my 2001 Honda Civic a force to be reckoned and I’ll get you 2 packs of Nutter Butters.

Niceeeeee
Sweet ride

Sorry you didn't like it! There will be more higher budget videos coming out throughout the year that you may like better :)
i would set the members to 200, 500 is a bit high

Eu gosto mais das peças cromadas e a calota prata... mas é o meu gosto!

Wtf is this sh-t? The quality is goind low sooo fast. 80% sponsor 10% washing the car 10% doing something "building". BB
More vids to come :)
