It sure is! Especially in the Sky Suite III.
Flew JAL Business Class from Tokyo to Melbourne in sky suite. Great experience. Food was great, staff was amazing especially with my 10 month old grandson. Definitely will be flying them again.
You really can't go wrong with JAL!

i already travelled with this kind of business configuration china airlnes but that one of japan airlines look like better than the last one that i took

After superb ANA seat this is oh so standard with 2/2/2/ seating and more cramped. I stay with NH and pay my own way 40 years and not an employee
Good review. Is the Sky Seat III replacing the Sky Suite on all JAL planes? Have you tried the latter and how do they compare?
Thanks! I think the Sky Suite III is just introduced for some intra-Asia flights for now. We haven't been able to fly the regular Sky Suite yet.

Yes, only one meal service since it was a red-eye flight.
That's a cost reduction excuse.
I was not very enthousiastic about the (meal)service
Neither was I!
It is difficult to get the catering right on a very late departure. The majority will have eaten already before check-in or in the lounge

Average cabin designs.i don't think they deserve the 5 star.they got that 5 stars only, because of the crew.
The crew is definitely a huge part of the JAL experience.
This is not business class suite ... only business class suite are q-suites from Qatar. Please use suite more carefully. Neverthless nice product!
JAL actually markets this product as "JAL SKY SUITE III", which is what I referred to it as.
