Usually movies don't leave great impression on me.. Some are good, some boring.. But this movie left so big impact on me.. I even changed my perspective on life... This movie is so good, it should get Oscar..
I like that they were themselves with each other from the very beginning and then fell for each other in spite of it. I also love that when she left Dublin after Jeremy proposed, instead of self destructing or feeling sorry himself, Declan worked hard to save his pub. When Anna came back to rekindle things, his business was thriving and he was living his life with passion instead of apathy like before.
The same for Anna when she remembered what Declan said about what would she take if a fire happen at her apartment. Soon as she saw Jeremy grabbed a few things she left him. This after she found out the real reason he proposed to her in Dublin, Ireland. Now that's a backstabber like Declan said. Jeremy was more concerned about getting that exclusive apartment and his laptop/phones. Anna was just a future trophy wife for him. For Declan on the other hand Anna the true love of his life.
The way she looks at him when she wakes up on the bench - that's when I knew she was in love with him. And that ending - that proposal- beautiful and romantic. If I could just switch places with Anna....I have watched this movie at least 10 times and will continue. I just love it. Both actors are gorgeous and super talented and the chemistry between them is amazing.
criminally underrated. their chemistry is amazing and they're both so charismatic. amy was so adorable and mathew so charming. i just love seeing them together! icb i only saw this movie literally minutes ago. I'm mad I've never heard of it in my life when I love chickflicks and am pretty much up to date with a lot of movies. well this one's pretty old I guess. anyways, this movie is amazing!!! 10/10 would recommend

Leap Year meets Murphy's Law because everything that can go wrong does go wrong! Just hysterical! Big fan of Amy Adams but first encounter with Matthew Goode. I'm glad because now I've seen some of his other work and some interviews, and Declan is my favorite character.

Now THAT's a proposal. We loved this show. It was fantastic, humorous, and romantic. It also had a wonderful plot. The movie moved right along. And it was SO great, we bought the DVD and watch it several times throughout the year. There was BIG-TIME chemistry, so much that Amy Adam's real boyfriend finally proposed after the movie, and Matthew finally married the woman he lived with. Otherwise, these two might have ended up together! :)
Whenever I need a romance movie, I come back to this movie again and again.
You ought to watch Chasing Liberty. Matthew Goode is sexy as hell and it's also funny. I like it better than Leap Year.
