This is absolutely KILLER! I'm very happy to have seen this. Yes - it's very similar to Yngwie's performances. It's hard not to mention, really. But it's very different if you're analyzing the composition and note choice. Malmsteen's harmonic minor sounds more conventional, I guess - but Norifumi's use of the same scale sounds like full-blown Castlevania.
In case anyone knows, I've been searching for this old japanese rock song I heard and the band or song name was something like Death Circus Roll or Rock n Roll Circus or something like that... Saw it once on UA-cam randomly years ago and now I can't find it anymore. Shot in the dark but maybe someone knows
+COTTERO Well, that is debatable (or not), however IMHO his picking is more effortless, his articulation more fluid and his tone definitely more organic and less distorted when soloing... That said, they ALL rock anyhow! :) (btw, U might also want to check out Takayoshi Ohmura and Katsu Ohta)
