Earnest and Celestine has got to be one of the most beautiful, entertaining, and well paced animated movies I've ever seen. I absolutely love it. Thanks for doing a scribble kibble on it!
Ernest & Celestine is one of the finest animated films I've ever seen. Great animation, excellent characters, solid writing, and fine performances. Definitely better in French, btw. Cheers for covering it!
OH MY GOSH I JUST REMEMBERED THIS MOVIE, USED TO WATCH IT ALL THE TIME WHEN I WENT OVER TO SEE MY GRANDMA. I FORGOT WHAT IS WAS CALLED BUT THIS IS IT, THANKS FOR HELPING ME FIND MY CHILDHOOD.
I watched the French version of this and loved it! The style is amazing, I really liked your review, along with your review on The Breadwinner which was also a dark, yet wonderful film.
OH!!! I saw this movie in my french class, but it was cut off,, I downloaded the movie myself and it was amazing!! I loved it to bits!! I actually screamed when I saw ernest and celestine as the new scribble kibble episode!! (I still got a bad grade in class but the movies we watched were great, and this was my favorite.)
Yaaay! You did this. Love this film. Fun story, really cool art. Different and delightful. Great to see your take on this. Thanks! Merry Christmas! Stubat
You should watch Trollhunters! It's another 3D animated show, but it's certainly the best one out there in terms of animation. And it has a fantastic story-line! None of the characters or environments look static and are very detailed. With the trolls having stone-skin and some even having glossy-polished skin. It's absolutely wonderful!
I absolutely love this movie! I like the french one better because it matches with their mouths and i don't think they chose the best people to do the english dub voices. The english version makes me cringe. But the things i love most is the music and the animation, It's like a work of art. Much different from other kids movies.
YESS! YES! I absolutely LOVE this movie, and it's so underrated. Even worse that it had to fight against Frozen for the Oscars, which could somehow increase awareness, but yea...
This is wonderful and informative as always! I have a suggestion for the future, if you ever happen to be stuck. There's a really beautiful traditional animation with no dialogue by someone called Raymond Briggs called "The Snowman". Even if nothing is done on it, I would give it a try, as I feel it would be your cup of tea.
Hello! Can you please please explain what kind of animation is used in "God Squad" from "Shut Up! Cartoons" I'm really wanna know @ w @ . Thanks if you gonna notice that. ✌
hey new to the channel love it so far. was hopping you could do an ep on "the last of the dashkin" an old animation of the newgrounds days that still holds up today.
I loved the movie, I as soon as i saw it. I was curious of its purpose on netflix but after watching. well I adored the story and hope others enjoy it just as much as i have~
Despite its occasional use in spoken monologue, the Very Long Literary Sentence properly exists in the mind (hence "stream-of-consciousness"), since the most wordy of literary exhalations would exhaust the lungs’ capacity. Molly Bloom’s 36-page, two-sentence run-on soliloquy at the close of Joyce’s Ulysses takes place entirely in her thoughts. Faulkner’s longest sentence---smack in the middle of Absalom, Absalom! -unspools in Quentin Compson’s tortured, silent ruminations. According to a 1983 Guinness Book of Records, this monster once qualified as literature’s longest at 1,288 words, but that record has long been surpassed, in English at least, by Jonathan Coe’s The Rotter’s Club, which ends with a 33-page-long, 13,955 word sentence. Czech and Polish novelists have written book-length sentences since the sixties, and French writer Mathias Énard puts them all to shame with a one-sentence novel 517 pages long, though its status is “compromised by 23 chapter breaks that alleviate eye strain,” writes Ed Park in the New York Times. Like Faulkner’s glorious run-ons, Jacob Silverman describes Énard’s one-sentence Zone as transmuting "the horrific into something sublime.” Are these literary stunts kin to Philippe Petit’s highwire challenges-undertaken for the thrill and just to show they can be done? Park sees the “The Very Long Sentence” in more philosophical terms, as “a futile hedge against separation, an unwillingness to part from loved ones, the world, life itself.” Perhaps this is why the very long sentence seems most expressive of life at its fullest and most expansive. Below, we bring you five long literary sentences culled from various sources on the subject. These are, of course, not the “5 longest,” nor the “5 best,” nor any other superlative. They are simply five fine examples of The Very Long Sentence in literature. Enjoy reading and re-reading them, and please leave your favorite Very Long Sentence in the comments. At The New Yorker's "Book Club," Jon Michaud points us toward this long sentence, from Samuel Beckett’s Watt. We find the title character, “an obsessively rational servant,” attempting to “see a pattern in how his master, Mr. Knott, rearranges the furniture.” Thus it was not rare to find, on the Sunday, the tallboy on its feet by the fire, and the dressing table on its head by the bed, and the night-stool on its face by the door, and the washand-stand on its back by the window; and, on the Monday, the tallboy on its back by the bed, and the dressing table on its face by the door, and the night-stool on its back by the window and the washand-stand on its feet by the fire; and on the Tuesday… Here, writes Michaud, the long sentence conveys “a desperate attempt to nail down all the possibilities in a given situation, to keep the world under control by enumerating it.” The next example, from Poynter, achieves a very different effect. Instead of listing concrete objects, the sentence below from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby opens up into a series of abstract phrases. Its vanished trees, the trees that had made way for Gatsby’s house, had once pandered in whispers to the last and greatest of all human dreams; for a transitory enchanted moment man must have held his breath in the presence of this continent, compelled into an aesthetic contemplation he neither understood nor desired, face to face for the last time in history with something commensurate to his capacity for wonder.
I remember watching Crowne back when she didn't talk and everyone thought she was a guy. I like that she talks but it just makes me realize how long I've been with this channel
For a future Scribble Kibble, maybe you could do The Night and/or Land Of The Dead by Daria Cohen? (Land Of The Dead is a sequel to The Night so maybe it's better to do the first one)
I was wondering if perhaps you'd watch an animated feature film called Avril and the extraordinary world? It's also french and the style is really nice, mixing steampunk with a touch of lizards. I wonder what you could come up with what you see from it. :)
Can you check out the animation "Dovepaw - Rolling Thunder"? To me, it has a unique style of animation for the music, and I wanted to know your opinion on it.
Hey can you make a video about how to animate frame by frame because I animate like that but it take a bit and I want to now the best way to animate like that pls ^^

I love this movie's art style! It's great to see that Big Bad Fox will have a similar art style to this cause you don't see it in animation much
The funny thing is, I've bought it for my sister as a present, and SCHWOOP Scribble Kibble uploaded a new video.
As always, fantastic work.

OH MY GOSH I JUST REMEMBERED THIS MOVIE, USED TO WATCH IT ALL THE TIME WHEN I WENT OVER TO SEE MY GRANDMA. I FORGOT WHAT IS WAS CALLED BUT THIS IS IT, THANKS FOR HELPING ME FIND MY CHILDHOOD.

I’ve been meaning to watch this since it came out. STILL need to get around to it.
I watch this in hospital every time I go in, which is a lot.
A movie I've watched is called "a cat in paris" and it would be awesome to see a scribble kibble on it since its pretty different from other movies.

The wobbly lines added a charm to the movie

I LOVE THIS MOVIE SOOO MUCH
This is a great movie I probably watched it 5ish years ago and it's a great movie.
This may be an odd request, but how about the "we come together" music video by Goldfish. The first idea that comes to mind is sprite/pixel animation.
I saw this a couple of days ago on Netflix, quite good.
That movie is amazing.
Awesome! I really love this charming film :D

Hey Crowne, any chance you will make a video on Violet Evergarden when episode one drops? Or perhaps of the incredibly fluid promo videos?
